Good morning friends
On the front of my frame, I added this ADORABLE little reindeer from the new Christmas Animals. I want to make a whole pile of these to use on cards - he is just SO cute!
See the little green arrow? When you pull that tab ...
... it pops and life up to reveal another little Pop-Up Scene! And it really pop's up - there is almost a 'boing' - it's really fun!
I added a Santa-Hat-Wearing Wreath-Holding squirrel to the pop-up platform, more coordinating patterned paper and the word 'greetings'.
Here is a side view so you can see how the mechanism works a little better.
Just like the old Hanging Charm Pull cards, I like to make this type of interactive card post card style rather than mount it to a folded card. Below is the back of my card, with a punched label for our signing block.
Today I'm sharing a holiday card made with one of Karen Burniston's newest release - the Frame Pull Pop-Up. I added the 'Happy' from the new Word Set 7 Autumn paired with the Word Set 3 Holiday. I love how all the word sets work so well together!

This was lots of fun to put together, and I got to use up lots of little bits and pieces from the patterned paper stack. The cut-apart on the back side is so cute, I was happy to get to use it.
Tips and Tricks:
In my opinion, creating a sample or prototype with this die set is a really good idea. You can watch the assembly video for it as well. It's not hard, but there are a couple of pieces and this is different than most animated card dies out there. It's so clever and creative.
I didn't check the pop-up before adding the reindeer, so his antlers needed to be trimmed to prevent them from bending and getting mangled. Make sure your elements fit properly on the pop-up before adhering them!

ReplyDeleteI really love the Recollections pattern paper you used on that card, and another one you made earlier this week.
ReplyDeleteCan you help me find the vendor from whom you bought the paper?
Thanks Flo - I really like it too! Recollections is a Michaels brand, and I picked it up two years ago at a Michaels here in Alberta Canada. Not sure if they still make it, or even if it was available outside of Canada. It's a thick paper stack so it will take me several more years to use it all up! Hope that helps.
