Scrap N Stamp Canada March Inspiration Hop: "Baskets of Bunnies"

Welcome to the March Inspiration Hop by Scrap 'n Stamp Canada, with the theme 'Baskets of Bunnies'. They weren't able to get me any product for this hop, so I just pulled some older items from my stash and made a fun fold card. You can make this card with many of the items they have at Scrap 'n Stamp Canada though, so think of this more as a card idea you can make your own.

These Pull Out Fun Fold cards have been around for years and I have always wanted to make one. To put my own spin on it though, I created a Mini Slimline sized card! I didn't do a tutorial (I will have one later this month) but will list the basic measurements at the end of my post if you are curious.

Since it's a new (to me) Fun Fold with a new size - I'm counting this as the March edition to my series New Fun Folds!

The card has an aperture cut in the front and you can see through it to the inside. But when you open the card, you see that there is more to it ... the image inside is on sort of a reverse Z fold panel.

When you pull that panel to the right, another two panels are revealed. I added patterned paper to the center one and a stamped sentiment on the center one. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawns Magic Spring Messages which is a stamp set I got from Scrap 'n Stamp Canada awhile ago. Stamped in Catherine Pooler Ink, of course. The patterned paper and ephemera are by Echo Park.

I really enjoy making Mini Slimline cards, and finding ways to incorporate a fun fold into them. That being said, I also figured out the measurements for a 5 x 7" card which will be shared another day. And I will be doing this Mini Slimline one again soon! Below are my basic measurements:

Card Base: 7 x 6" - score in the centre at 3.5"

Pull out piece - 7.25 x 5.75", scored at 3.25 and 5.25"

Decorate the panels as desired (more details will be in my upcoming tutorial)

I hope you will check out the Scrap 'n Stamp Canada Blog, for a list of all the creators in the hop!

Late last year I was asked how many cards I make but I didn't have a clear number. Since many of my posts include more than a single card or project, I thought it would be fun to keep track this year.

Snowman Platform Pop Up

Wow - can't believe we are already in round two for the monthly series here on my blog. Today I'm sharing my second card for the Series: Platform Pop Up. I know I said I was finished using that Magic of Winter collection, but as I was gathering it up to put away, I realized how cute some of the ephemera pieces would be on the Platform Pop Up ... and this is what I came up with.

I added one of the border stickers that was included in the 12 x 12" paper package, and some coordinating enamel dots.

I love how flat this card folds down to fit in an envelope!

The paper package & ephemera has been put away now though, and I won't be getting it out again until for a few months. 😉

I have been asked how many cards I make but I didn't have a clear number. Since many of my posts include more than a single card or project, I thought it would be fun to keep track this year.

Card Tally for 2023
January - 53 cards
February so far - 22 cards

Additional Supplies:
White cardstock

Winter Shaker & Pop Up Card

This fun card will be my last play with the "Magic of Winter' collection by Echo Park. This was sent to me by Scrap 'N Stamp Canada for our December 3rd Video Hop, which you can see HERE. I have used it a LOT - but I am finished with winter and snow and ready to move onto to brighter colours now.

I have a walkthrough of my card on YouTube HERE

My card started with the Full Front Shaker, layered with the patterned paper onto a top folding 7 x 5" card. While that could have been enough for the card, I couldn't help adding a pop up inside. 😊

I added the Little Labels Pop Up, cutting it from a piece of the patterned paper and adding ephemera and stickers from the collection.

LOL - this sentiment is very true for me. I am NOT a fan of winter or being cold.

A couple of times recently, I was asked how many cards I make but I didn't have a clear number. Since a lot of my posts include more than a single card or project, I thought it would be fun to keep track this year.
2023 Tally: 21 Cards

Additional Supplies:
5 x 7" card and envy
Sequins and filler - stash

Wintery Gift Card Holder

I haven't purchased many crafting supplies these past few months, but I did order this Gift Card Holder die set by Stampendous at the end of October. I love making Gift Card Holders and this die set is pretty cool. They call it a Mini Slimline but their Mini Slimline size is 3 x 6". If this had been just a card die it would have been a hard pass for me, but since it was for a Gift Card Holder I went for it. And I'm really enjoying it!

For the card base, you simply fold a 6 x 6" piece of patterned in half. Ha. I think I will start rounding the corners using a punch, which is a detail I thought of after I made up a couple of these to give out over the holidays.

The die set creates the layering pieces AND the little envelope as well as a pop up to hold the gift card. Since I'm still playing with the collection sent to me by Scrap 'n Stamp Canada, I used those papers, stickers and ephemera for this one.

Below is what the front of the envelope looks like.

You can see the pop up inside, that creates a pocket in the fold to hold a gift card.

I was asked how many cards I make but I didn't have a clear number. Since a lot of my posts include more than a single card or project, I thought it would be fun to keep track this year.
2023 Tally: 20 Cards

Winter Pop Up Birthday Card

Hello my crafty friends. This Birthday card has it all ... stencilling, Glimmer Foiling, stickers, die cutting, stamping and of course it's also a pop up card. 😊 I made it for my Sister In Law who celebrates a December Birthday.

The lovely blue snowflake background was reverse glimmer foiled using the solid plate and the leftover foil from doing different panel. Since the sentiments were gold foiled, I added plenty of gold peel off stickers, die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die and added it to the stencilled card front.

Inside, I used the new Bam Box die set by Karen Burniston. As soon as you open the card, the Box pops up the Happy Birthday. So fun!

There is more stencilling inside, a stamped sentiment and a gold foiled word on the left side.

Additional Supplies:
5 x 6.5 card & envelope - Michaels
White cardstock
White pearl cardstock
White matte glossy cardstock

Winter Owl Lever Card

Hello my crafty friends. Today I'm sharing another card using the Magic of Winter collection by Echo Park. Scrap 'n Stamp Canada sent it to me for our December 3 Blog Hop and I have been having lots of fun creating with it.  Click HERE to see my video, that includes links to the rest of the hop for inspiration!

This card uses a die set from Divinity Designs - the Lever Card. I have had this for several years and always enjoy using it. One of the cut aparts was used for the centre front, with that adorable owl on the front. The snowflake on the cut apart was cut twice ... once from a scrap of patterned paper and once from fun foam. Then I adhered them together before attaching them onto the card. These sweet snowflakes were a 'free with purchase' gift a year or so ago and I couldn't find them on the website to link in the supplies.

Usually, you would use one of the dies to cut the inside panel from coordinating card stock then cut the layering dies from the patterned paper. For my card I cut the inside panel from patterned paper and didn't use the layering dies except for the far right edge.

Cutting that panel from white card stock, I was able to add one of the stickers from the collection, some bling and a stamped die cut sentiment. There was lots of room leftover for our personal greeting & signature.

Additional Supplies:
White cardstock
Snowflake Mini dies - Divinity Designs
Fun Foam

A Canadian Christmas Video Hop

Hello my crafty friends! I've been dropping hints about an upcoming Video Hop by Scrap 'n Stamp Canada, and today is the day the creators are sharing their projects!

I have a tutorial for creating a pair of Gift Card Holders and also a Fun Fold card on YouTube:

There are a lot of cut aparts included in the paper package, so I wanted to show you some different ways to use them. They can really help you make fun projects in very little time and everything coordinates with the papers!

The photo above shows the fun fold card and the two Gift Card Holders. Below you can see one of the Gift Card Holders open, with the pocket to add the gift card into.

You will also have seen a number of cards I've already created with this paper package, the coordinating solids, the enamel dots and ephemera. I even used it for my December Sheetload of Cards, which posted yesterday! Everything is available at Scrap 'n Stamp.

Next up is the 5 x 7"  Z-fold card using another one of the included cut aparts.

Inside is one of the ephemera pieces as the sentiment and still lots of room to write a personal greeting.

You should have arrived here from the talented Candice!

I believe I'm the last creator on the hop - so the next stop is the Scrap 'n Stamp Blog:

Scrap 'n Stamp is giving away THREE $100 gift certificates to their webstore. The hop and comment period will run from 9:00am EST on December 3, 2022 through 11:59pm EST on December 10, 2022. Winners will be announced on the Scrap 'n Stamp Blog December 12, 2022. The more people comment, the higher their chances of winning! _____________________________________________ DISCLAIMER: Being on a Design Team, I receive supplies to use in some of my projects. December 2022 Sheetload of Cards

Hello my crafty friends. It's the 2nd of the month and that means it's time for another Sheetload of Cards! Since I'm on the YouTube Collaboration Team, I have all the details on YouTube:

I used a collection from Scrap 'n Stamp Canada, by Echo Park called "The Magic Of Winter". I did make a small change to the sketch, flipping the smaller and larger diagonal panels.

Inside I added a stamped sentiment and some fishtail banners cut from leftover scraps.

Be sure to check out my VIDEO with the links so you can download your own Sheetload of Cards! All that information is in the description box of the video.

Additional Supplies:
White cardstock

Two Wintery Cards!

Hello my crafty friends!   I'm sharing a pair of cards using this collection by Echo Park. It was sent to me by Scrap 'n Stamp Canada for an upcoming Christmas Inspiration video hop (December 3rd) and when I finished my projects for that hop I couldn't stop playing with the papers, stickers, ephemera etc.

I've also been having fun showing lots of different cards with the cut aparts that are included in the package. These two cut aparts are sized 3 x 4" and I matted them on blue mirror cardstock for holiday sparkle and shine.

I also added some silver peel-off Snowflake stickers!

Both cards have the same sentiment stamped inside. This is a large stamp and it worked perfectly with these 5 x 7" cards!

To create the backgrounds, I cut two patterned paper panels 4.75 x 6.75". Holding them tightly together, I sliced them on the diagonal then alternated the patterns on each of the two card fronts.

The card below shows the second cut apart .. so cute!

While these can be sent for Christmas, they also work great for winter happy mail for those that don't celebrate.

Additional Supplies:
5 x 7" card and envelopes
White cardstock
Blue mirror cardstock
Sentiment - Winter Wishes, Crafters Companion

Winter Coffee Easel Card

Hello my crafty friends and welcome to Fun Fold Friday her on my blog. Today is also the last day of the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop and I really wanted to play along. Nothing like squeaking in at the last minute!

I will be taking part in a video hop on December 3, put on by Scrap 'n Stamp Canada. I chose to work with this Echo Park collection 'The Magic Of Winter' and have been having fun using it to create lots of other cards as well. When I saw this cut apart on one of the 12 x 12" sheets, I knew it would be perfect for the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!

I created a 5 x 7" Easel Card using it, the coordinating solids and the ephemera as well. While it's hard to see in the photos, I added some sparkly Paper Glaze to the whipped cream and the heart on the coffee.

The card folds flat for mailing, then stands up for display. The 'bumper' is popped up with foam tape and that is what keeps the card from collapsing.

I added a white rectangle as a place to write a personal greeting, and added one of the stickers that were included into the paper package.

... one more look, which is how it will come out of the envelope.

Additional Supplies:
5 x 7" Card & Envelope
Sequins - stash
White cardstock
