Winter Owl Flip-It Card

Good morning friends

It's Fun Fold Friday here on my blog, and I have a holiday Flip-It Card to share today. I was poking around my 'In Progress' bin, and found this card base and the layers sitting there waiting to be assembled and decorated.

I discovered how much I like red snowflakes last year, so added a couple to this card. The patterned paper has sparkly embossed bits, and the printed elements are glossy and shiny as well.

Had to add a little sparkle to the owl's Santa hat - I couldn't help myself.

Supplies:
Fancy Edge Flip-Its - The Stamps of Life (retired)
White and red card stocks
Patterned paper - stash
Graphics - Lettering Delights
Fun foam
Wink of Stella
Stickles
Word stamp inside - Lawn Fawn
1056 Squares Crosshatch - Karen Burniston

Turkey Peek Thanksgiving Card

Good morning friends

Today's share is another card I made last year but didn't get posted. I have been going through the photo file, finding those older projects, and getting them posted. I had these printed embellishments out, and thought this turkey would be fun peeking through a window in the front of the card.

Inside I used Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-Up. When the card opens the entire turkey is revealed as he raises up. This card is quick and easy, and probably the one that made me realize how versatile the Katherine Label Pop-Up is!

Penguin and Crow Christmas Card

Good morning friends

I'm back today with another holiday card for my stash, using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Hillside Backdrop. I like how it looks like snowy hills when you cut it out of white.  This card has the addition of the little town border in behind the top hill, and I added a soft glow to the windows by backing the die with small pieces of yellow card stock.

I tucked the printed elements from my stash into the hill slits and added some stamping and glitter.

Snowy Hillside Christmas Card Duo

Good morning friends

I continue to work on holiday cards throughout the year, and here is a pair I made using the Stitched Hillside die by Lawn Fawn and some printed embellishments from my stash.

Simply cutting the hillside out of white creates a lovely snowy scene, and I added a white panel in behind that was embossed with a snowflake embossing folder. I keep forgetting how much I like the look of dry embossing  and have to get out my embossing folders more often.

The snowy hillside was adhered to the card front with foam tape for lots of dimension, and I added some glitter glue along the hill slopes.

For this second card, I also added the( bare) tree border in behind the top hill. Going to play with that idea more for sure!

Both the card interiors are identical. Sorry for the dull photo below.

While I had the supplies out, I did make another card with the same die set and will post that one next week.

Supplies:
Stitched Hillside Backdrop, Landscape - Lawn Fawn
White and brown card stocks
Snowflake embossing folder - Sizzix
Graphics - Lettering Delights
Tree dies - Lawn Fawn
Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangle - MFT Stamps
Stickles
Words inside - Stampin' Up

Gingerbread Man & Snowbear Holiday Cards

Good morning friends

Today's share is a pair of Christmas cards that didn't get posted in December.

I really like this Gingerbread Man die and haven't played with it nearly enough. This time I added tiny wiggly eyes for a fun element.

I had purchased this patterned paper from the Stampin' Up Clearance Rack and used it for a lot of my holiday cards last year. I even managed to use the entire package, something that doesn't happen often. Here you can see I pieced scraps together to create my background as I was bound and determined to use up that pad and not be left with a bunch of scraps. I knew I'd think to myself that they would work great for tags and I wanted to avoid holding onto them. This was the first time I'd done piecework like this and I was happy enough with the results.

Supplies:
White, kraft and red card stocks
Patterned paper - Stampin' Up
Bear graphic- Lettering Delights
Stamps - Papertrey Ink
Wonky stitched rectangle dies - MFT Stamps
Fun foam
Xyron
White gel pen - Signo
Gingerbread man die set - Elizabeth Craft Desigs
Googly eyes
Banner punch - Stampin' Up
Word stamp inside first card - Verve

Valentine Pig Trio

Good morning friends

Today's share is a trio of Valentine cards I made last year but didn't get posted.

My friend and Design Team Teammate Kelly Booth sent me these adorable tiny wiggly eyes, which I used on the printed pigs. They are so fun!

The next two cards are nearly identical.

The cards were all similar inside ...

I will actually be back later today with another Valentine card I made to share. I intended to post it next week, but since its Karen Burniston's Design Team Challenge next week I figured I'd rather have two posts today than hold onto the photos for another year. I don't really post Valentine cards after Valentine's Day.

Supplies:
White card stock
Patterned paper - Daisy D, Pebbles, Lawn Fawn
Pig graphic - Lettering Delights
Glossy photo paper
Sticker - Recollections
Stamp - stash
Wiggly eyes
Love ya stamp and die - Stampin' Up
Bic markers
Blueprints #18 - MFT Stamps
Stitched and scalloped rectangles - Elizabeth Craft Designs

C4C 414 Christmas Bird Double Z Fold Card

Good morning friends

It's a new month and that means a new hostess at the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Our December 2017 hostess is Anja De Regt-Hage.

Here is Anja's challenge this week:  Colour your day! December is a busy month for most of us, it is always good to sit down and do something relaxing , for me that is what colouring is....For today, I challenge you to colour something on your card/project. It does not have to be a big, just something. If you don’t colour, try using some different colours of ink, or even some accents....

I loved this bird from Stampin' Up and couldn't wait to colour it so the challenge was perfectly timed! I made a Double Z Fold Card and added the bird to the front along with some holly elements. The patterned paper is very sparkly  and I added Wink of Stella on the birds wings.

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd  love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C 414.

Penguin and Bear Gift Card Holder Duo

Good morning friends

I'm back today with a pair of Gift Card holders. I first saw them HERE on Dawn's Stamping Thoughts YouTube channel and have been making all kinds of them!

These were done at different times, but am posting them together. They aren't meant to coordinate, lol - in case you thought I may have lost my marbles.

Oh. My. Goodness. The little penguin from Karen Burniston's Winter Animals is just adorable. Here he is wearing a winter hat and scarf - both come in the same die set.

The patterned paper is embossed and sparkly - perfect for the holidays. My goal this year was to use some of my older products along with new ones so I pulled out an older stamp set for the words on this one. The penguin is sitting on a snowbank created with the Nature Edges set. The penguin body is cut from charcoal Stardream, which is a pearlized card stock. I love using it instead of black as it catches the light and gives the die cut some 'life'.

Inside I added another stamped greeting, a place to sign our name and a little die cut wreath from the Sleigh Pop-Up set. I actually cut and assembled 10 of these wreaths to have on hand for adding that little somethin' somethin' to projects this year.

See how perfectly a gift card fits in the pocket?

This second Gift Card Holder is actually made from papers in the same stack as the one above...

... and it's also embossed and sparkly. I added printed embellishments and a handwritten banner to the front. I was sure I had this stamp but couldn't find it anywhere so ended up just writing it out.

Some more gift card sayings and printed elements are inside.

I like to have a supply of nice Gift Card Holders on hand for the holiday season, so these will be added to the stash.

Supplies:

Penguin gift card holder
Stitched oval - MFT Stamps
White, green, yellow card stocks
Charcoal Stardream card stock
White gel pen - Signo
Stamps - MFT Stamps
Red Enamel Accents

Bear Gift Card Holder
Graphics - Lettering Delights
White card stock
Nuvo Crystal Drops
Gift card stamps - MFT Stamps

C4C 413 'Just Popping By' Pop-Up Card

Good morning friends

It's Saturday and that means a new challenge at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog. I am the hostess this month, with my Design Team Sister Kelly Booth as our Guest Designer. Kelly's blog can be found HERE.

Here is my final challenge for the month:  “Christmas or Winter Card” - It’s only 1 month until Christmas, so make a Christmas or Winter themed card today to get a jump on your stash.

I made a cheery Pop-Up Christmas card:

I love that the patterned paper has shiny, sparkly bits.

Inside I used the Cupcake Pop-Up, hiding the cupcake shape with a matted oval. Riley the Moose and Percy the Penguin are waving hello. Such a cute pair, don't you think?

I used the Nature Edges to cut the snowy hill at the bottom, and combined words from the new Word Set 4 - Just a Note, with Word Set 3 - Holiday for my greeting. All of Karen Burniston's Word Sets work together for lots of different combinations!

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd  love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C 413.

Supplies:
Patterned paper - My Minds Eye
Riley & Percy stamp - Riley & Company
White and red card stocks
Derwent water colour pencils & water brush
Stitched oval - MFT Stamps

Pink Witch Halloween Card

Good morning friends

Today I'm sharing a quick and easy Pop-Up card, using Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-Up. I have had lots of fun making different shaped windows for the mechanism, and this card has a small circle cut in the front for the witch to peek through.

I used black card stock for the base, embossing it with a wavy embossing folder. Then I added a dark pink cat, some Nuvo Drops and the front was finished.

Inside, I used more pink elements on the Katherine Label Pop-Up arm and added a hat to the stamped banner.

Behind the pink witch is one of those spider web die cuts I found for Halloween cards. So fun!

I love this Katherine Label Pop-Up die ... it can be used for so many occasions and ideas!

Supplies:
Black card stock
White card stock
Glossy photo paper - Kirkland
Graphics - Lettering Delights
Spider Web die cut - American Crafts
Embossing folder - Stampin' Up
1011 Katherine Label Pop-Up - Karen Burniston
