Yappy Birthday Pop Up Card

Hello my crafty friends and welcome to Fun Fold Friday here on my blog. Today I'm sharing a Birthday Card using Karen Burniston's Circle Tag Book Pop up set along with stamps from Your Next Stamp. I have all the details in a YouTube video:

The plaid paper was a partial sheet in my stash, and I was able to use it up on this card. One of my favourite things, is using up a whole sheet of 12 x 12" paper. 😊  The Happy Birthday and Happy Birthday Shadow are also from Karen Burniston and the 'Yappy Birthday To You' is from Taylored Expressions.

The fun images from Your Next Stamp were coloured with alcohol markers and highlighted with a sparkle gel pen.

I stamped the fun sentiment onto a Crosshatch Oval and added it to the back, which is where we will sign our names as well.

Circle Tag Book with Ice Cream Cones

Hello!  It's time for Karen Burniston's July Designer Challenge, and she challenged her Design Team to create a card using either the Tag Book or the Circle Tag Book.

Every year I send Ice Cream cards to my kids in honour of my Mom. When she was a little girl there was a parade in their small town each July and afterwards her dad (my Grandpa) would take her for an ice cream soda. She made sure to take my brother and I for ice cream on this day each July and I did the same with my kids and now my grandkids. When my Mom lived away from us for a few years, I started sending her Ice Cream themed cards since we couldn't be together for an ice cream sundae and now I make sure to send my kids and my brother an ice cream card in July.

That is why I made an ice cream card for the challenge!  I have all the details on YouTube:

As I said in the video, I chose to add the Evergreen Pivot Panels inside instead of the insert from the Circle Tag Book. I added it upside down then snipped off the hanging holes from the ice cream charms in the Sweet Treats set.

The ice cream scoops were die cut from glittery card stock in the patterned paper package and there are glittery bits in the patterned paper too.

Finally, here is the top view of the card.

I needed one more Ice Cream card so worked ahead and you will be seeing another one for the August Designer Challenge, only this time I used Karen Burniston's Parcel Pop Up combined with the Ice Cream Sundae Pop Up. 😊

I was also going to share  the Circle Tag Book assembly video for you, but since I really only used the outside, I'm just sharing the Evergreen Pivot Panels one only.
Remember Karen Burniston has assembly videos for her pop up dies!  Once you know how to assemble your die, the rest is card size, paper and colour choice as well as embellishments! You can change the look of your card every time you use the dies. :-)  I always enjoy showing you different looks and ways you can use your dies once you know how to assemble them.

For your convenience I have linked many of the products used below. Some may be affiliate links which means if you use these links to purchase I may earn a small commission at NO extra cost to you.

Additional Supplies:
Patterned paper - Over the Rainbow, Recollections
Kraft card stock
Rainbow packing tape (Amazon.ca)
Ribbon
Silver cording
Enamel dots - Stampin' Up

Circle Tag Book Birthday Card

Hello my crafty friends

Today for Fun Fold Friday here on my blog, I'm sharing the Birthday card I made for our niece. I haven't played with the Circle Tag Book Pop Up die set in awhile, that is what I pulled out to work with for her card.

Below the short YouTube video are more details, still shots and a supply list if you are interested!

The paper stack comes with several sheets of journal cards (or cut aparts) so I used one that had the cactus images on it for the card front. It had words above the cacti which were cut off so I could just use the image. Then I added a stamped greeting and a fishtail banner.

I added some glitter glue and pretty bling since the card will be hand delivered.

Here is a look at the card opened ...

For the pretty circle cacti elements inside, I used a circle from the Crosshatch Circle dies to cut them out from a piece of patterned paper in the pack that had several borders on it. The Cacti on this border were spaced far enough apart to allow for the circle die - serendipity!

I didn't use any foam tape on this card, which is very hard for me because I love dimension on my cards. But with all the folds and layers the Circle Tag Book Pop Up can be bulky and the foam tape makes it even more so.

Since there isn't a lot of room to sign our names, I decided to trim out a journal card from the paper stack and layer it with a 3" square of patterned paper on the card back. There are foiled lines in the journal card which is a nice touch.

Kraft & white card stocks

C4C470 Monster Circle Tag Book Valentine

Hello my crafty friends

It's Saturday and that means a new challenge at the Crazy4Challenges Blog. It's a new month and our February hostess is: Kathleen Adams. Kristine Reynolds joins us as our Guest Designer this month  and you can find her blog at:  Stamping and Scrapping in California.  This card also works for a challenge at Your Next Stamp - see all those details at the end of the post.

This week Kathleen's challenge is:
Today is National Tooth Ache Day! Yes, I’m not kidding. But it’s also Valentine’s Day on Thursday. So make a Valentine’s Day card."

I pulled out Karen Burniston's new Circle Tag Book die set and some adorable monster stamps from Your Next Stamp for my Valentine card today.

The 'hugs & kisses' from the new Word Set 9. It cuts as a single piece which makes it nice and easy to adhere to your project.

Look how cute these monsters look on the circles. I added die cut glasses from the new Tiny Accessories 2, and at the layered hearts are from that too.

Everything was adhered nice and flat with no foam tape, as there are lots of layers of card stock with the folding circles. This will still easily fit into an envelope but I would add an extra stamp just to be safe.

I added a signing block on the back as there wasn't really room inside.

Here is a view of the card from the top so you can see all the different layers and folds. So cool!

I am a big fan of Your Next Stamp, and their new Fun Friday Challenge #107 is to use Die Cuts for your creation. So I am entering this card into that challenge as well.  All the details for the Fun Friday Challenge #107 can be found HERE.

C4C469 Llama Love Circle Tag Book Pop-Up Card

Hello my crafty friends

It's Saturday and that means a new challenge at the Crazy4Challenges Blog. It's a new month and our February hostess is: Kathleen Adams. Kristine Reynolds joins us as our Guest Designer this month  and you can find her blog at:  Stamping and Scrapping in California

This week Kathleen's challenge is:
Today is Ground Hog Day! If you don’t have an image of a ground hog then put any other ground critter on your card this week!"

I had this package of gold foil rimmed Llama stickers so I pulled out this pretty patterned paper by Lynda Kanase and the new Circle Tag Book Pop-Up die set by Karen Burniston. This is one of her new releases and it makes a really cool pop-up card.

I kept the front nice and simple, because all the fun is on the inside.

Here is a look at the inside ... there is so much dimension with the Circle Tag Pop-Up!

These Llama stickers are so cute! They are shiny so the card shimmers and shines when they catch the light. Hard to see in photos though.

Finally, for those that like to pin 'Front and Insides' to their Pinterest boards, here you go!

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd  love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C469.

Heart Pivot Valentine Card - another Sneak Peek!

Hello my crafty friends

Welcome to another Sneak Peak of Karen Burniston's January 2019 Release. I combined a whole bunch of the new dies for this sweet card. First of all, I used the NEW Circle Tag Book for the cover. The Tag Book Pop-Up die set is hugely popular and this one uses the same design principle but with circles that pop-up instead of the tag shape. It is also a different size and I'm really liking it!.

The 'You're Sweet' is new and it goes perfectly with the new Ice Cream Sundae Pop-Up. I have some donut ideas to use with the saying as well. The little chick is from the new Easter Animals - and OMGosh both the new Animal sets are just ADORABLE. I also love this scalloped rectangle, which is from the Rockin' Rectangle.

Here is a peek at the inside, but there are no circles! Nope - Instead I used the new Heart Pivot Panel which fits really well inside the Circle Tag Book covers. I did have to trim a tiny sliver off of the top curve but that was probably how I lined it up when I adhered it to the inside covers.

I'm a huge heart fan - so I was pretty happy to see a Heart Pivot Panel in the release. Perfect timing for Valentine's Day cards, but also Anniversary, Sending Love, and other occasions as well.

One of the things I like best about the Pivot Panels is that they fold completely flat for mailing. Well, all of Karen Burnsiton's Pop-Ups fold flat for mailing but some have lots of bulk simply because of the number of card stock layers. Not so much with the pivot panels, especially when you glue everything flat and don't use foam tape. Of course if you are willing to add another stamp or can hand deliver your card - feel free to layer away! I like dimension on my cards, but there is a LOT of dimension with the Pivot Panels so I don't miss the foam tape when using them.

On the inner two hearts I added a pair of the cute chicks, each one holding a heart. Notice how their faces look different? Just by changing the height of the eyes & beak you can change up their look a little. The words come from the new Word Set 9 Love.

I also used one of the new Border Blends, which make fun borders from both the die cut and the negative pieces.

There are SO MANY great dies in the new release, which will be available for PRE-ORDER on the website starting January 21st (TOMORROW!). You can click on the preview below to see it larger.
