Deer Pop Up Slimline Card
Hello! Our Son-in-Law is a hunter, and I knew exactly what I wanted to do for his Birthday card this year. I started out pulling out a bunch of dies by Karen Burniston and this is what I came up with. I have a walk through of my card (and how I fixed an oops) on YouTube too:
Using the Long Nature Edges combined with the deer/ground from the Outdoor Scene allowed me to create this Slimline scene. I also added two trees from the Tree Pop up die set. I really like this tree die - both the size and the shape of it.
I used Kraft card stock a LOT last year, but the past several months I've been craving bright rainbow colours. I have to say I enjoyed using Kraft again for this card.

January 2018 Designer Challenge for Karen Burniston
The front of my card has three banners from the Twist Panel Pop-Up card. I like that you get both the pennant shape and the fishtail one in the set - and I used them both here, adding a heart to the centre one.
Inside I used the floating floor from the House & Fence Pop-Up. That is such a cool little die to animate all kinds of things! It's easy peasy to use, too. I strung another trio of banners across the top alternating with die cut hearts.
Just for fun, I added more fishtail banners along the edge of the floating floor to resemble a picket fence. I added a Dog from the Cat & Dog set to the left support. Love that little bandana!
A little heart-holding-bear is on the right support.
There are hearts in several of Karen Burniston's die sets and here I used the one in the Twist Panel Pop-Up. I've always wanted to do a tree of hearts and I am happy with how it turned out.
The Gift Card label is such a good size, it also works great as a generic label to add a greeting to. Here I trimmed the bottom portion off, added some hand lettering and another heart for good measure.
Tips & Tricks:
I die cut the animals twice, once out of the patterned paper and once out of black. Once the coloured animals were attached to their supports, I adhered the black one to the back side effectively sandwiching the support in between the animals. The card stock I used wasn't quite sturdy enough for my liking, so adding the backing layer helped with that.
Be sure to check out my fellow Design Team members - their blogs are linked to the right. Karen Burniston will have her blog post/project tomorrow (Wednesday) on her BLOG.

Witchy Wobbly Hedgehog
Then it was a matter of building a simple scene in behind, and I used a water coloured background for the sky. The Witches Hat from the Halloween Elements fits on the various animals, and I made it shimmer with a Wink of Stella pen. I love this little Hedgehog from the Winter Animal set and she is particularly adorable attached to a mini Action Wobble!!
Inside I added the BOO! with the bottom inked for an ombre look.

Paper Pros Thanksgiving House Pop-Up Card
I like the shape of the tree in Karen Burniston's Tree Pop-Up, so used it bare on the card front. The yellow dots in the patterned paper are all embossed and shiny for additional texture.
Inside I used the House and Fence Pop-Up, but not on the floating floor. Instead I cut the Pop-Up bump with the die from the Tree Pop-Up and attached the decorated house to that.
I added a couple of trees in behind the house, with the foliage cut from a piece of card stock I coloured with Colorbursts & Magical Shakers. Then they got some shimmer with a Wink of Stella pen.
The labels come from the Katherine Label Pop-Up set - those label dies are so versatile!
The sweet fence and stone path was cut from the same water coloured card stock and I added another blank label for us to add our signature etc.
This is a casual challenge, with a varying number of participants each time. This month we have:
Stitched Fishtail Banner die - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Gratitude stamp - Hero Arts?

Kitty Pop-Up Thanksgiving Card
... because all the fun is on the inside! I used the floating floor and fence from Karen Burniston's House & Fence Pop-Up, and the tree from the Tree Pop-Up as well.
Finally here is a side view so you can see the Pop-Up a little better.
