School Themed Sheetload of Cards
I have a note in my planner to make the grandkids their 'Back To School' cards in May. While the end of August sounds like it's a long way off, past experience reminds me how busy things get in the summer and I don't want to be scrambling mid August trying to get those five cards made and mailed/delivered. I decided to pull out the May 2024 Sheetload of cards and some school themed papers and this is what I came up with! I do have a YouTube video as well, which you can find here:
As I said in the video, once I got the card fronts all done and was deciding how to decorate them I chose to only make two of them into Back To School cards. I didn't want the grandkids to all get such similar cards, so the rest of them are Teacher (and teachers aid) appreciation cards.

Basketball Coach Appreciation Card
Welcome to Masculine Card Monday here on my blog!
When I asked our daughters how many teacher appreciation cards they would like me to make this year, our middle daughter asked if I could also make one for our grandson's basketball coach. I had completely forgotten about this stamp set from Stampin' Up that I have had for years, so it was fun to pull it out again. I added Nuvo Glaze to the basketball so it's raised and shiny.
Now my mojo has taken a nosedive, and if that wasn't enough - my craft room has become a dumping ground and it's hard to even move in there let alone get creative. However, I really wanted to get this card made and this is what I came up with.
I had better get cracking on cardmaking, as I don't have anything made to share next week and usually I'm running at least three weeks ahead. Yikes!

Mug Gift Card Holder
Today I'm sharing the 5th edition to my monthly series "Shaped Cards". This mug shaped card die is from Trinity Stamps and I have had it for quite awhile. The card fits in a standard A2 envelope, and also comes with a gift card insert.
One of our daughters asked for a Gift Card for Mother's Day, so this is the one I made for her. Since it was going to be hand delivered I was able to add the ribbon bow and chipboard elements without worrying about bulk and extra postage.
NOTE: I cut a slit in the fold of the card, and that is where I threaded the ribbon through to tie onto the front panel. That way it would decorate the front AND the inside!
January - 53 cards
February - 56 cards

Deer Pop Up Slimline Card
Hello! Our Son-in-Law is a hunter, and I knew exactly what I wanted to do for his Birthday card this year. I started out pulling out a bunch of dies by Karen Burniston and this is what I came up with. I have a walk through of my card (and how I fixed an oops) on YouTube too:
Using the Long Nature Edges combined with the deer/ground from the Outdoor Scene allowed me to create this Slimline scene. I also added two trees from the Tree Pop up die set. I really like this tree die - both the size and the shape of it.
I used Kraft card stock a LOT last year, but the past several months I've been craving bright rainbow colours. I have to say I enjoyed using Kraft again for this card.

A Big Deal Shaker Card
Hello! Today's card is one I made in early December and I was playing with making my own pop up strips. I have a walk through of my card on YouTube too.
It was fun to take a break from holiday cards and pull out this patterned paper, which I had been itching to use. I pulled out the Dotted Patterns Set 4 from Studio Katia because it had this inner frame that I knew would work great for a shaker card.
I'm putting this one aside to send to one of our grandsons, to let them know I'm thinking of them.
Patterned paper - Whale of a Time, Stampin' Up
Frame die - Dotted Patterns Set 4 - Studio Katia

Foam hearts - Trinity Stamps
