Mini Slimline Floating Panel Card & Tutorial

Hello my crafty friends.  I pulled out some older items from my craft room for these three Mini Slimline cards, and decided to make them pop up cards. I also did a tutorial on this 'floating panel' technique and you can find it and more details in my YouTube video:

All three cards are for different occasions. I have a Birthday card, a thank you card and one uplifting card to send out for Happy Mail. After stamping and punching the mason jar & stems, I added different flowers from the April 2021 Blessings Box from Divinity Designs.

Below is what the inside of the Birthday card looks like...

Next up is the Thank You Card. The patterned paper is an older paper pad that I had found at Michaels. Using the Mini Slimline dies, I was able to place them on the paper and make the best use out of the different colours/patterns.

The floating panels fold flat to write a personal message, so you aren't trying to write in mid air. 😊

Finally, the third card. I loved the gold veining on this patterned paper sheet - wish they all had it! I matted the sentiment banner with gold foil card stock to compliment the gold.

Here are the measurements for the pop up platform:   4.5 x 1.5", score at  .75, 2.25, and 3"

Watering Can Card for Spring

Hello my crafty friends. Today I'm sharing the first card made with the Watering Can Fold-Its  from the Stamps of Life. I added the Happy Spring cut from a pretty green pearlized card stock, then florals from the April 2021 Blessings Box from Divinity Designs. The extra leaves were die cut long ago and I had them in my stash.

A couple of butterflies and some shimmer 'n shine and the card front was finished.

Here is a peek at the inside, with a stamped sentiment on a stitched oval. You can see the little hinge I used to attach the front and back pieces to create the shaped card. While you can create a shaped card by using the main die on folded card stock & keeping the fold line from cutting with the die, I wanted to try it this way first. 😊

Slimline Love You & Roses

Hello my crafty friends! I have had this patterned paper for awhile and was inspired to create this Slimline card for Valentine's Day. The red polka dot is the reverse side of the blooms, and I added the pretty flowers from the April Blessings Box at Divinity Designs. I added White Peel-Off Border Stickers but the shine they give don't show up in the photos. The word dies are from Karen Burniston.

The mirrored hearts also give the card lots of sparkle!

Here is a peek at the inside, with matted layers and another one of the pretty roses. I haven't added a sentiment or greeting inside yet, but will when I go to send the card. There is a chance I won't need this until next year so I wanted to wait before adding a sentiment.

Pop Up Birthday Card with Roses

Hello!  Today I'm sharing another card using the printed florals from the April Blessings Box at Divinity Designs. I paired them with a lacy die cut from a 12 x 12" package that was on the clearance rack at Stampin' Up.  I have a walkthrough of my card on YouTube:

The Best Wishes is also from Divinity Designs and everything that is available is linked below.

Inside I created a simple Box Pop Up and I will link a tutorial below for you.  The square lacy frame is from the same sheet as the front, and the patterned paper square was a leftover piece in the package of papers from Divinity Designs. The Happy Birthday (and the Best Wishes on the front) were cut from gold foil card stock. I hope the shimmer and shine shows up better in the video than in the photos!

Supplies I'm unable to link:

Burgundy card stock - my stash

Mini Slimline Roses Birthday Card

Hello!  Today I'm sharing another card made with these floral Paper/Die duo's from Divinity Designs. The pretty patterned paper is also theirs and I just love the floral prints. While I know it's probably time to be making fall and winter holiday cards, I'm just NOT ready to completely give up on Summer and flowers.

This card is a Mini Slimline card and I used the Mini Slimline Square Window die from Taylored Expressions. Everything that is available is linked below. This is the first time I have used the colour scheme of beige and pink and I quite liked it!

The stamps I used are from the same April Blessings Box.

Garden Mouse Slimline Card

Hello! Today's Slimline card is one that looked better in my head, ha ha. Sometimes that happens, but I think whoever I send it to will still enjoy it. I used one of my new Edger Dies by Creative Expressions. R&R Scrapbooking in Edmonton had a Flash Sale and I added a few (ahem) of these dies to my collection.

I thought with the colour's in the background paper that the flowers from Divinity Design's April Blessing Box would work perfectly, but they sort of get lost. I would have liked it better if I had added a fussy cut black shadow around them maybe?

I snipped the mouses arm away and added one of the flowers in between it's paws and I think that would be fun to do again with a cupcake, or shamrock etc. The 'HI' has glossy accents on the top layer so it's raised, shiny and catches the light as the card is turned.

Here is a peek at the inside ...

Hearts & Flowers Birthday Card

Hello!  I am sharing yet another card with the pretty floral stamp/die duo from Divinity Designs' April Blessings Box. I also used their lovely floral patterned paper and the Matting Rectangle die - and everything is linked below. The Matting Rectangle die leaves just a tiny border of the card front showing, and I am going to really enjoy using it!

The open heart piece got lots of shimmer with Wink of Stella, and there are Stickles on the flowers for lots of sparkle. The Happy Birthday is a gold peel off sticker I've had in my stash for YEARS and I also added some gold Glitter Dots as well. I've been using them for many years but it doesn't appear that Elizabeth Craft Designs is restocking them anymore. 😩

Mini Slimline Trifold Card with Roses

Hello! I am still really enjoying the floral images from The April Blessings Box at Divinity Designs. You just die cut and use - no stamping or colouring required! Today's card uses them in a Mini Slimline Trifold card that I can send for Happy Mail. The photo above shows what the card would look like coming out of the envelope.

While I didn't do a YouTube video, I did film the card opening and closing for you:

The Mini Slimline Trifold template/dies are from Taylored Expressions and I linked them below for you. I got them for my February birthday, and finally got to use them. The papers in Divinity Designs' Floral Favourites paper pad are soooo pretty. They make me happy just to look a them in the package! 😊  Karen Burniston's Word Set 10 has the 'Thinking of You' die and it fits perfectly on a Mini Slimline.

The photo above shows the card partially open, and the one below shows it fully open. You can see there is room for me to write a personal message when I go to send the card.

The roses & buds each got some sparkle using Stickles, and the butterflies were punched from scraps of white pearl card stock.

Slimline Anniversary Card

Hello!  I needed an Anniversary Card, and pulled out some Slimline dies and the April 2021 Blessings Box from Divinity Designs to create it. Everything is linked below if you are curious about a product I used.

The pink patterned paper is actually in a VERY old paper stack - for baby girls! But I thought the soft pink would work well with the florals so I used it. The Slimline dies are from LDRS and I like that the windows come with your choice of hearts, circles or squares and you can decide how many to add to your project. I chose to add two heart windows and used one of the fallaway pieces for the centre.

The shadow of the love die was cut from pink mirror card stock, which is impossible to photograph!

Here is a peek at the inside, where I used that second fallaway heart over a die cut open flower die cut.

Clean and Simple Mini Slimline with Roses

Hello! I don't often make a CAS card but this was one of the ideas I'd had when I first opened the April '21 Blessings Box from Divinity Designs. I have already made a dozen cards with these beautiful florals, so thought it was time that I got this idea out of my head.

I used one of the Beautiful Blossoms Paper/Die duo's from the Blessings Box - I love that the colouring is already done and you just have to die cut and use! The 'ring' was created by die cutting two of the Double Stitched Circles and the sweet hello is one of the decorator dies included in Karen Burniston's Waterfall Die Set. I added everything to an embossed background and then some lovely sequins for sparkle. I have a linked supply list for the available products I used on my card at the end of my post.

Studio Katia no longer has those beautiful iridescent butterflies, so I fought the urge to hoard mine and added one above the hello. Oh, I hope they get more in!

Here is a peek at the inside, with a stitched panel for lots of room to write a note and more of the printed florals. I pulled out a VERY old stencil and added a rose to the front of my envelope with blending sponges.

Poppy Mini Slimline

Hello! Today I'm sharing another card using stamps and dies from Divinity Designs, including the Poppies Paper/Die Duo from April's Blessings Box. ❤️  The fence die on this card reminded me of those little white fences people used to add around the perimeter of their garden beds.

Here is a peek at the inside, using sentiment stamps from Gina K. The card was sent to a friend for Happy Mail.

For your convenience I have linked many of the products used below. Some may be affiliate links which means if you use these links to purchase I may earn a small commission but there is NO extra cost to you.

Additional Supplies:
Black and green card stocks
Grey copic marker
