St. Patrick's Day Slimline Card

Hello! I am excited to share my first card using the NEW RELEASE at Your Next Stamp! The Design Team is sharing sneak peaks until Thursday, when the release goes live in the Your Next Stamp online store. We will be celebrating on Thursday with an Instagram Hop. As usual with a YNS release, you have a chance to win a prize and I have more details at the end of my post.

My card today is a Slimline for St. Patrick's Day and I used the new 3D Alphabet and Numbers for the LUCKY on the card front. After white embossing the letters I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and added them to the smallest stitched rectangle in the new Slim Stitched Rectangle Dies. I also added lots of shimmer to the letters with a Wink of Stella pen.

I have wanted to try this 'off set circle' technique that was very popular on social media at the end of last year so this seemed a good time to see if I liked it. And I do! I don't know the 'proper' name for the technique but if I use it again I will try to find out what it is.

Inside I used two more of the new Slim Stitched Rectangle dies, stencilling the green one with green ink and a stencil from STAMPlorations.  Check out the stencilled shamrock inside. I made that by being mindful of where I placed the small heart die to cut out the three green card stock hearts I used on the card front.

Now for the prize information.  Each preview day, comments left on the Your Next Stamp Blog and Your Next Stamp Instagram will be selected to win one of the sets being showcased! Winners will be announced the day after each preview day.

Sending Hugs Slimline Card

Hello! Today's card uses more of that pretty patterned I received as a RAK (Random Act of Kindness) from Marilyn W back in November. I am enjoying USING the paper and not leaving it sitting on a shelf.

I had used this wreath die on a holiday card last month and mentioned that I really didn't use it much since it was too big for a Slimline card and almost too big for even an A2 card. But since I had it out anyhow, I had this idea to just use partial wreath's on a Slimline instead of the full wreath and this is what I came up with!

In the video of that Christmas Wreath Trifold Card (click HERE to see that card) I mentioned that I had got the wreath out as I had been eyeing the wreath die set from Stampin' Up but knew that I had this die and didn't use it very much and wondered if I really NEEDED another wreath die. Well, I caved and bought that set and now that I have used this older one a couple of time I am ready to play with the new set ... guilt free. 😉

I am trying really hard not to just 'collect' Slimline dies - but this one from Rubbernecker has such a nice edge detail I did order it and I'm really glad I did. It's just lovely! I die cut the ECD wreath twice from the dark teal card stock and added one to each edge of the Slimline card, snipping off the parts that overhung the edges.

Here is a peek at the inside:

I added just a touch of light stencilling to the inside and there was lots of room to write my message when I mailed this card.

Sunshine and Cactus Slimline Card

Hello crafty friends ...

Because of COVID we didn't get to visit Arizona in November as planned so my Slimline card today is a cactus theme and I had fun using one of my Stamploration stencils and this wonderful cactus die by Paper Rose.

The inked plant pot was given a coating of Glossy Accents so it's raised and shiny and resembles a glazed pot. The pretty rainbow sequins add another touch of sparkle to the card front. Even though the banner hangs over each side, this card still fits in a #10 Business Envelope.

Finally, here is a peek at the inside:

Rainbow Leaves Slimline Birthday Card

Hello crafty friends ...

Today I'm sharing a stencilled Slimline Birthday card that will be donated to my Mom's old nursing home. As soon as I opened this pretty Slimline Stencil from Stamplorations, I knew I had to make it into a rainbow.

I used the new Long Crosshatch dies from Karen Burniston - love those edges! The Happy Birthday is from the Oh Shiitake stamp set. Lots of their sets include a great size of sentiments.

One evening I went into my craft room and stamped a bunch of YNS birthday sentiments onto black card stock and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. The next evening I cut them into strips, with dies or a trimmer and added them into a plastic envelope. Now all I have to do is poke around in the envelope and grab an already trimmed and embossed sentiment for my card!

Here is a peek at the inside, where I added a strip cut from rainbow packing tape as well as a stamped sentiment.

This card will be donated to my Mom's old nursing home.

Slimline Fall Coffee Pop Up Card

Hello crafty friends ...

I'm back today with another card for the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop, and I have a walk through of my pop up card on YouTube

I had so much fun making this card and the front uses a stencilled background, a sticker and a digital stamp.

Here is a peek at the pop up inside, with a stamped sentiment, a Stamploration Coffee word die at the top of the white panel, and a to-go cup on one of the pop up arms from the Upsy Daisy Pop Up by Karen Burniston. I also added a little more stencilling using a Slimline Stencil from Stamplorations. That is where the fun clear sticker on the card front came from too.

This 'to go' cup by Stampin' Up is long retired but I still love it and continue to use it. I really like all the height and dimension you get with the Upsy Daisy Pop Up and I'm having fun using it with Slimline cards these days.

I will be back tomorrow with another coffee themed card for the Blog Hop.  ðŸ˜Š
