Bright Birthday Card Trio

I have several older Paper Pumpkin kits sitting near my stamping table, so I pulled out this one (May 2016 Paper Pumpkin 'Many Manly Occasions') to see what was left in there to use up. There were three of these laser cut card bases, a number of the 'Happy' stickers and enamel accents and all of the orange corrugated panels. While I love orange, I was never a fan of it for these cards where the orange corrugated showed through the laser cut card fronts.

I went looking through my papers and pulled out a 12x12" sheet by Doodlebug. I liked the cheerful rainbow stripes for the front, and when you open the card up you see the polka dot printed on the reverse of the paper.

The large HAPPY stickers were in the kit - and I do have a couple of those leftover which I will have to remember to use up. But other than that - this Paper Pumpkin kit is now finished!

Inside the card I added  stamped sentiments and stars, as well as adding another enamel star element from the kit. The washi tape is from my stash. I added the orange corrugated panels into my orange scrap file, and hope I find a good use for it when making fall cards.

Apple Thank You Card Duo

Last fall I was flipping through an older paper pad and when I saw this 12x12" sheet with the apples - I decided to pull it out and make a couple of teacher appreciation cards for my stash. These ones are a full 6" square - not a size I usually make because of the additional mailing costs for a square card. Since these ones will be hand delivered to our grandkids teachers though, I decided to go ahead with that card size!

I tried to do a pop up inside this first card, and added a window in the front. I can't remember what I did to mess it up (haha) but in the end I made that (sad) little shaker to try & salvage the card. The little Bookworm is from Karen Burniston and he is just too cute. I also added some rainbow holographic cardstock to brighten up the cards since the patterned & cranberry cardstock are very dark.  Below you can see the inside of the first card.

The second card has a large die cut apple, with a stamped sentiment. For some fun, I added the apple on with an Action Wobble spring so it bobs and wobbles. I think that was probably the last time I used an Action Wobble until recently when I've pulled them out again. I seem to go in phases with those things!

Below is the inside of the second card. These two cards were the first ones I pulled out of my card bin to give our daughters for the grandkids teachers, supplemented with the ones I've made recently.

Supplies used:
Apple patterned paper - K & Co (old, I've been hoarding it)
Double Stitched Circle dies - Divinity Designs
Rainbow Holographic cardstock - Recollections
Thanks die - Crafty Meraki
Stardust Glitter Pen
Transparency
Various filler - my stash
Bookworm - Karen Burniston
Black Pen
Sakura white gel pen
Grey Topic marker
Educators Rule stamps - Altenew
Catherine Pooler Inks
Glitter Dots - Ecstasy Crafts
Peel off Border - Ecstasy Crafts
Wink of Stella
Action Wobble
Apple of My Eye stamps & dies - Trinity Stamps
Teacher sentiments - Penny Black

'Enjoy the Little Things' Birthday Card

Hello my crafty friends.  Today's card is one that was based on the January Sheetload of cards, which in turn was based on a Mojo Monday sketch. 😊  I pulled out a bunch of older items for this one, the only new items I used are the yellow sequins & the 'glitter glue'!

The bee element is actually a cut apart from the same paper pad, but I dressed it up with some Pops of Colour for shimmer and shine. The sequins don't show up well in the photos but they are nice and sparkly too.

Here is a peek at the inside ...

February 2022 Sheetload of Cards #SLCTFeb2022

Hello my crafty friends!  It's the second of the month and that means it's time for another Sheetload of Cards. Since I am on the YouTube Collaboration Team, I have a walkthrough of my cards here:

All six of my cards will be donated to my Mom's old nursing home. I ended up using up some of the cut aparts that were included in the paper pad as the decorative element on the front and since most of those had sentiments I only needed to stamp on one of them. I used the Birthday Builder stamp set, which comes with lots of "Happy" and lots of "Birthday" stamps in a variety of fonts and sizes which makes it easy to combine the words to fit your needs.

The inside of the cards have the same Taylored Expressions stamp and on the Kraft cards I added a white panel inside. Note, these are heavyweight card bases - #110 lb so they are nice and sturdy. ❤️

Since I had the paper pad out anyhow, I decided to just go ahead and CUT IT UP to make little 'card kits'. I combined patterns that I thought went together, added the last couple of cut aparts with some of them and put everything in a ziplock bag to work on when I'm inspired to create.  Or when I only have time to make a quick card but want to make SOMEthing. I can add embellishments and sentiments from my stash, with probably some border die cuts and I think they will work well for more nursing home donation cards.  I'll share photos when I do eventually finish up the paper pad. This brings me one step closer!

August 2021 Sheetload of Cards

Yay!  It's the second of the month and that means it's time to share another Sheetload of Cards!
Since I am on the YouTube Sheetload of Cards Collaboration Team, you can find my walkthrough of the cards as well as links for you to download this month's Sheetload of Cards on YouTube here

I used sparkly patterned paper and bold stamped images for my cards today, and they will be donated to my Mom's old nursing home. I thought the little face stamp from Your Next Stamp was a fun addition to the sentiment oval.

The inside of all the cards were done the same, using my MISTI for 'oops' free stamping!

I really liked this months Sheetload, and have already made up a second batch of cards to be shared another day. 😊

Four Birthday Cards with Pocket Scrapbooking Supplies

Hello crafty friends ...

Today I'm sharing some Birthday Cards made to donate to my Mom's old nursing home. I had picked up a small Project Life kit on clearance last year, and it contained some fun acetate embellishments. So I paired them with a few of the 2 x 3" Journal Cards from the package, and patterned paper from my stash.

A few of the Journal Cards also got Happy Birthday stamped on them.

Black Nuvo Drops give a POP to the cards.

They are all the same inside, and I used my trusty MISTI for even stamping on all four panels.

Supplies:
White, yellow and gold card stocks
Patterned paper - Sweet Tangerine, DCWV (old, from my stash)
Happy Birthday stamp - Birthday Builder, Altenew
Catherine Pooler Inks
Nuvo Drops
Stickles
Stamp inside - Handwritten Happiness, MFT Stamps
MISTI - My Sweet Petunia

Card size, all - Standard A2, 4.25 x 5.5"
