Hello Spring Mini Pop Up Card

Hello!  This card is what I'm calling a 'mini' card ... it's 3.5 x 5" and the reason I made it that size is because of the lovely A1 envelopes I picked up out of curiosity. I have all those details in my YouTube video:

The smaller size of this card is perfect for making Happy Mail for our Grandkids, or making a Gift Card Holder that will easily fit inside the envelope of a standard card (A2, 5 x 7",  Slimline etc). Today I went with a Spring Pop Up card and will be putting this away for our granddaughter for next Easter. Yes, I like to work ahead, especially when I have all my Spring & Easter stuff out anyhow.

Inside, I created a simple Box Pop Up. I will link my video tutorial below, in case you wish to learn how to make a simple Box Pop Up as well!

The sweet kitty in the basket image was in the March release at Your Next Stamp, stamped on water colour paper and painted with a water brush and Karin Water Color Markers.

There is lots of shimmer and shine as well, from my Wink of Stella pen.

Easter Mini cards for the Grandkids

Good morning friends

I have LOTS of photos to share today. I wanted to make the Grandkids cards for Easter and had just been to the Mesa Rubber Stamp Show where I discovered how much I like Pink & Main images. I could have blown the whole budget in that booth alone! I did come home with this adorable Easter chick stamp set (among others), so that is what I used for three of the cards.

I stamped the images onto a die cut egg, then water coloured them with various water colour markers and inks. Olivia's card is up first ...

Olivia's has a bit of sparkle too, and all the eggs were adhered to the card fronts with an Action Wobble.

Because these are mini cards, the one sentiment was too long. I cut the stamp in two so it would fit better. It's easy enough to line it up if I want it to stamp as a single line down the road.

Ethan's card has this cute hatching chick on the front and is also on an Action Wobble.

Ethan really does crack me up. We recently got to spend a week with Ethan, Zachary and their Dad in Arizona  (while Heather took Olivia to a special Pulmonary Hypertension camp in LA). One morning we were getting ready to go for a walk and I came out with denim capri's and a bright green tee shirt. Ethan looked at me, took a step back, and said "Gramma! You look nice".  I mean really? At five? I gave him the biggest hug.

Zachary's card is so perfect for him, with the little peep peep. He talks with the cutest little accent - we have no idea what he says most of the time.

I also wanted to make cards for our other two grands, but they celebrate Passover and not Easter so my selection for them was more limited. I usually go with a 'Spring' theme for them.

I took the opportunity to use an OLDER Doodlebug paper and sticker package for Ilai's card ... embellished with puffy stickers and adhered with an Action Wobble. I know how much fun Ilai has with those.

He is a sweetie that one and his smile will melt your heart.

Alma's card is simpler as at one year old she still tries to eat everything.

Thanks for hanging in with all the cards today! They were simple enough to create and I know the Grands are going to love them. I can put each card in one of the envelopes from Stampin' Up that are made for the 3 x 3" mini cards so they still get to open an envelope with their name on it.

Supplies for all five cards:

White and yellow card stocks
Stamps - Pink & Main
Egg dies - Taylored Expressions
3x3" envelopes - Stampin' Up
Patterned paper - Stampin' Up
Black fine point marker
Stickles
Action Wobbles

Patterned paper and stickers - Doodlebug
Glitter pen
Puffy stickers - Sticko

All cards are 3 x 3" square

Mini Valentine Cards for the Grandkids

Good morning friends

I thought I would try something different for the Valentine cards my Mom will give the Great Grandkids this year. Since Stampin' Up has those cute envelopes for 3 x 3" mini cards, I made them each a 3 x 3" card. They still get to open an envelope with their names on them but the card's petite size means they can carry them around easier.

Card #1 has one of Karen Burniston's sweet animals - the dog from he Cat and Dog set. These little critters are so easy peasy to put together! I used all scraps from this cute paper pad, cutting apart the words from other sheets in the stack.

Ethan's  Valentine has a cut-apart, a little bear with tiny wiggly eyes and the word You from Word Set 1 Greetings.

For Zachary's card, I used Riley the Moose. Specifically, Dress Up Riley - wearing a shirt. He is not wearing any pants, because Zachary HATES to wear pants. So this customized Valentine is perfect and Zachary will get a big kick out of it.

Riley is so cute! I added black glaze pen highlights to his eyes so they are nice and shiny.

For little Alma's card, I used another cut-apart, and since it said 'love bug' I added a die cut ladybug.

Finally, here is another Riley, this time he is wearing pants. This card will go to Ilai, who has no problem with wearing pants. :-)

The little hearts on Riley are from the Dog and Cat die set.

Supplies:
White, pink and orange card stocks
Patterned paper - DCWV
Stitched circle die - MFT Stamps
Ladybug die - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Stickles
Derwent water colour pencils and water brush
Pink pearlized card stock
Sakura black glaze pen
Copic markers
Wiggly Eyes
Fine point markers
3 x 3" envelopes - Stampin' Up
