Monster Slider Mini Slimline Card

Hello! When I first saw this new Fuzzy Monster set from Your Next Stamp, I knew I wanted to put this one on a Spinner/Slider. It's so fun to tilt the card and have the monster spin and slide up and down the track.

I used some patterned paper from my stash to create this Mini Slimline card, and YNS's Mini Slider die set for the wavy track. The white heat embossed sentiment comes with the Fuzzy Monsters and I added a couple of the new Gumdrops as well. They are nice and sparkly, and have both this smoky grey colour and a rich red colour.

Here is a peek at the inside, where I have lots of room to write a note when I go to send the card.

Since I had a strip of the patterned paper leftover, I adhered it to the envelope flap!

Slimline Halloween Slider Card

 Hello crafty friends ...

It's time for a new Challenge at Your Next Stamp -
the Fun Friday Challenge #150 has a theme of
MIDNIGHT (dark background, nighttime skies, spooky Halloween)

The Fun Friday Challenges come with two chances to win prizes!!

More details about the prizes at the end of my post!

I used the Mini Slider die set for my card today, adding this cute ghost from the Spooky Fun stamp set. He spins and slides along the track when you tilt the card! The die set comes with the small circles you can use to build up your slider element, but I used foam tape and a plastic disk instead of the dies or a penny. NOTE:  These cards are often called Penny Slider Cards because they work really well if you add a penny to the underside of the slider element because the added weight from the penny.

I have a walkthrough of my card on YouTube because it's always fun to see these cards in action!

There are such cute images in the Spooky Fun set, but I chose the ghost for the spinner.

The fun sentiment is from the Happy Hayrides Halloween set, and I white heat embossed it on a final scrap of the patterned paper. That piece was just wide enough for the YNS Stitched Fishtail Banner die with both ends trimmed off!

Here is a peek at the inside. I used another piece of the patterned paper for the dark layer, then die cut the Falling Stars die from the smaller white panel. Those fallaway stars were put aside to adhere onto the front, but they would also make fun filler for a shaker card. The sentiment is from the Spooky Fun stamp set.

The Fun Friday Challenge #150 runs through October 15th 2020 at midnight EST. One random participant will win a $15 gift certificate to the Your Next Stamp store.  If YNS stamps or dies are the focal point then the winner receives an additional $5 gift certificate for a total of $20!!  The winner will be announced on the YNS Blog the Sunday after the challenge closes. Two Interactive Spring Cards

Hello crafty friends ...

Today I'm sharing TWO interactive cards with TWO videos! The first one is a 'swing' card, and the second is a 'pull tab' - both are for the two grandkids who celebrate Passover.

Remember you can always see my interactive card videos HERE on YouTube. The second video today is grouped with the card below this one.

Using the i-crafter Haley Alphabet die set, I personalized the card front with his name, and used a puffy cloud die for the greenery at the top. The inside is fairly simple, with some inked clouds and lettering that he will likely be able to read himself this year.

I think he will enjoy moving the swinging boy to the right ...

... and to the left by tilting the card.  I don't have a stamp with this phrase and my printer is out of ink, so I used a label maker to create the 'swinging by to wish you' greeting.

Now for Miss Alma's card. Once again I personalized it with an i-crafter alphabet die set - this one is the new Carly Alpha. I like that it comes with both capital AND small letters, as well as symbols and numbers. Plus, the font is pretty cute.

Remember you can always see my interactive card videos HERE on YouTube

I am SUCH a huge fan of Doodlebug Designs. I picked a couple of their 'odds and sods' printed elements for both cards, and on Alma's card the frog moves out from behind the daffodils when you slide the tab.

As usual,, the eyes all got a shiny treatment with a black glaze pen. And I added white details with a gel pen too.

Finally, here is the inside of Alma's card.

Kitty with Balloons Slider/Spinner Card

Hello crafty friends ...

It's time for a new Challenge at Your Next Stamp - the Fun Friday Challenge #135 has a theme of Cute Critters.

The Fun Friday challenges come with two chances win prizes!! Comment on the YNS BlogInstagram or Facebook pages for a chance to win a free stamp set. Comment on all three to increase your chances, but comments must be left by March 25th 2020. The winner will be announced on March 27th on the YNS Blog.

More details about the prizes at the end of my post

I really like this cute Balloon-Holding Kitty from the YNS Pick Me Up set so coloured it up with bright happy colours, then decided to make an interactive card. The Mini Spinner/Die Set was perfect, and I created the grass with the Grass Tufts Edge Die. The Happy Birthday is from the Big Birthday Balloon die set, cut from white card stock and adhered to the bottom. This word die cuts as a single piece but doesn't cut the letters away along the bottom edge, so your strip can be as long or deep as you'd like it to be!

Since it's fun to see an interactive card in action, I have a quick video to share. Remember you can always see my card videos on my YouTube Channel HERE.

I had a narrow strip of the cloud paper left, so added it to the inside with a combination of word stamps and a Stitched Fishtail Banner.

The Fun Friday Challenge #135 runs through April 2nd 2020 at midnight. One random participant will win a $15 gift certificate to the Your Next Stamp store.  If YNS stamps or dies are the focal point then the winner receives an additional $5 gift certificate for a total of $20!!  The winner will be announced on the YNS Blog the Sunday after the challenge closes. Karate Slider Card for Ethan

Hello crafty friends ...

With three of our grandsons taking Karate, when I saw this new Karate image from Riley & Company, I knew I had to get it. I pulled it out to make a card for Ethan, who was attending Regionals in Edmonton at the end of February. He put in SO much hard work and training, that I wanted to send him a card that had no bearing on the outcome of this (his first) big competition.

He did SO good! Like REALLY REALLY good. He took home two gold medals and one silver, and has been invited to attend Nationals in Ontario at the end of May. We are very proud of him.

Remember you can always see my card videos on my YouTube Channel HERE.

I personalized the card with the new i-crafter Haley Alphabet, which cuts both the letter and a thin outline at the same time. Here I used just the centre portion and not the outline. This was my first play with an older Lawn Fawn slider die. I probably should have made a prototype first, because I think the idea is that the SLOT stays hidden as well. But 7 year old Ethan likely won't even notice that.

When you slide the tab to the right, the Karate Riley comes into full view.

Finally, here is a look at the inside:

Supplies:
Black Olive Ink - Your Next Stamp
Karate Riley - Riley & Company
White, green and black card stocks
Cloud Stencil - Echo Park

Sakura black glaze pen
Black marker
222016 Alphabet, Haley - i-crafter
Rectangle Dies - Hero Arts
Arteza Glitter Pen

Monster Penny Slider Card

Good morning friends

I have a fun Penny Slider card to share today. I actually made it in the Spring, and since I haven't posted it yet I'm doing it now. It's Masculine Card Monday here on my blog and this is a perfect card for boys!

The monster in the centre turns and slides along the track when you tilt the card. I used two pennies - one on either side of the track with a double layer of foam dots in between them, which gives the stamped monster the weight it needs to roll smoothly.

This card went to Sri Lanka, where we sponsor a young fellow through World Vision. I wrote him a note inside.

For some reason I don't have a record of the supplies I used for this card. Hmmmm.  I know the monster stamps & dies are by MFT as are the Wonky Stitched Rectangles. Pretty sure the slider die is by Elizabeth Craft Design.

Monster Slider Birthday Card

Good morning friends

I have rather a goofy Birthday card to share today - a Penny Slider card. I used the slider/spinner die from Elizabeth Craft Designs and one of those owl punch monsters I created awhile back.

The orange matches the papers way better in real life. I couldn't resist adding the wiggly eyes and a couple of arrows.

The monster slides and spins along the track as you tilt the card.

A peek at the inside ...

Deer Slider Father's Day Card

Good morning friends

It's Masculine Card Monday here on my blog, and I have a fun Slider Card to share today that uses a bunch of different supplies.

The bird dies came with Lawn Fawn's Scripty Words ... but I didn't buy the coordinating stamps. So I just drew the birds inside the die cut shape with a fine point black marker, then coloured them with Copic markers.

The moose is a sticker that was adhered to white card stock and fussy cut, and he slides along the track with the aid of a penny in behind. These are also called Penny Slider Cards if you are doing a search for them online.

Here is a peek at the inside ...

Supplies:
Green, blue, white and kraft card stocks

Love and Hugs Slider Card

Good morning friends

This was another fun card to make. I love Doodlebug Designs, and Joset's new Sliders, and the dog from Taylored Expressions. Put all three together and you have a cute interactive card!

The dog is a die that cuts the outer shape and the inner heart. I backed the open heart with red card stock, then stamped the dogs face. The set also has a pig, cow and an owl. For this card, the  dog spins and slides along the track.

I gave the sun glossy eyes and smile with a glaze pen.

Here is a peek at the inside ...

Patterned paper and flower embellishment - Doodlebug
Sliders and Spinners - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Good morning riends

I enjoy making slider cards - and I don't make nearly enough of them. Today I have an Easter Slider card using Lucky the Bunny, the new Slider dies from Joset at ECD and Lawn Fawn stamps.

I added a penny behind Lucky, so the weight of the penny allows for easy sliding ... Lucky slides along the track to reach the Easter Basket.
