Hello crafty friends ... The mother of one of our friends remains locked down in a nursing home in Arizona, so I asked if she might like another Happy Mail card. They said YES and since this is a dog loving family, I went with a dog theme today. The background was cut with the Scalloped Heart Cover Die from Studio Katia, which not only cuts out the little pierced hearts but also the outline/frame for each heart. I cut one of the frames again with red card stock to accent one of the hearts and popped up the sentiment with foam tape.
Since I also like to decorate the insides of my cards, I added another scalloped rectangle along with a sentiment and paw print heart.
I'm sure this card will bring her a smile, knowing someone so far away is thinking about her.
I have never subscribed to a monthly card subscription kit, but I have had my eye on the Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin kit for a few months and finally signed up. The August 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit was my very first and I really enjoyed making these cards! The kit comes with everything (but scissors) you need to create nine cards with three of them being shaker cards. I was able to make thirteen cards with six of them being shaker cards! I did a walk through video for you, since I wanted to show you all thirteen cards and it was faster to talk than to type. You can find my YouTube video below, with still shots below that. Lots and lots of still shots. Ha!
Here are the three additional shaker cards I made, using extra goodies from my craft room in addition to the kit.
All three shaker cards were done the same inside ...
These two were done pretty much like the card samples in the instructions, other than I cut apart the blue argyle print card bases so I would have two card fronts and added them to my own white card bases.
Here is the inside of these two cards.
These two cards were also done pretty much the same as the instructions, with my own white card bases and a cut apart green argyle print A2 note card. I also used blending brushes to add ink to the white vellum sprigs.
Here is the inside, with both cards done the same.
You have to know I made a Slimline card too, using the Birthday Chick stamp set from MFT Stamps.
This is the inside of the Slimline card.
This card has the Pacific Point ribbon wrapped around the yellow panel.
... and the inside of the card.
Another card where I wrapped the ribbon around the panel before adhering to a white card base.
Here are the three shaker cards that came in the kit, but I did them differently than the instructions.
This one will be put away for our Grandson Ethan, who is very good at Karate and I expect I will need this for him once tournaments can start up again. The additional trophy is a die from I-crafter (Best Dad). I cut it from Stampin' Up gold foil card stock.
Inside I added Karate Riley the Moose, and there is still room to write a message to him.
The second shaker has one of the printed trophy elements added inside the shaker, but it is adhered to the base with foam tape.
And the inside of the second shaker card, which I will hang onto for the two other grandkids who take Karate.
My third shaker card has a transparent window, which is kind of fun. You can see the inside through the front of the shaker element. This one is a teacher thank you card!
Below is the card opened.
One more gold trophy was added, as well as the word teacher.
Some of these cards will be going into my stash, others are being set aside as a gift for a friend and also our middle daughter. I am working on a set of birthday cards to give both of them.

Today I'm sharing three different Back To School Shaker cards, and I have a quick YouTube video showing the cards 'in action'.
First up is the Circle Flip-It Card ... for all three cards I used the School Days Shaker kit from Queen & Company.
I wrote our message on the white circle on the flip side :-)
The second card is a Z-fold card and I added the Schoolhouse shaker element. I was able to make a joke inside, since these three grandkids will be homeschooled in the coming year and not actually going to their public school. All in an effort to keep Olivia (well, all of us!) away from potential COVID exposure.
Finally, a Slimline card. Because I am loving the Slimline format (and have made over 60 of them so far!) I knew I wanted to make at least one that was a Slimline. Note - if you want to see any of my other Slimline cards, check the labels on the right side of my blog.
These school themed shakers are SO cute - I really had fun making them for these cards!
Inside is where I added a hand written note.

It's Fun Fold Friday here on my blog and I have a fun Pop Up to share today using the new Pop 'n Swap die by Karen Burniston. I also have a YouTube video with all the details!
The patterned paper has copper foiled bits, and I added copper foil card stock behind the Sip Sip HOORAY die as well as on the wine glasses and wine bottle charms.
I punched a window in the front with a circle punch so you can see the 2020 when the card is closed.
As you open the card, the 2020 disappears behind the Happy New Year rectangle and the 2021 appears!
I used the Happy Celebrations stamp set from Studio Katia and copper heat embossed the Happy New Year.
Into my stash with this one for a few more months.

Hello crafty friends ... Today's card uses the new releases from both Your Next Stamp and Karen Burniston! I have a video for you that goes over some of the details:
I have some sparkly patterned paper on the front, as well as layered Crosshatch Ovals and a stamped Sentiment from YNS's new Quarantini set.
Inside I used more sparkly patterned paper, more images from the Quarantini set and the Pop Up is from the new Flip Frame Pop Up.
How fun is this cute owl & martini glass? I lightly coloured it in by scribbling Crayola markers onto an acrylic stamping block and picking up the colour with a water brush. Then I went over the whole martini glass with Glossy Accents so it's raised and shiny.
As I explained in the video, the circles are inlaid into each other and not layered on top of each other as that would have created a catch point for the frame.
