Good morning friends
I kept the front fairly simple, as all the fun is on the inside! I used Karen Burniston's Explosion Pop-Up to create all the fun folds, and included a cupcake from the Cupcake Pop-Up as well as personalizing the card inside with the Alphabet dies.
Note, the cupcake does stick out of the card a little in the closed position. I'm fine with that - it will be displayed open and I like that it's a bit of a teaser that there is something cool inside the card. But you could move the icing down a little inside the cupcake liner if you wanted to.
There IS lots of bulk on this card, but it will be hand-delivered with her gift so that meant I could go to town with ribbons, bows and foam tape. This is probably the last time I will be able to get way with pink for Alma ... if you handed her a doll or a truck to play with she will choose the truck every single time. Show her a dress and she says NOOOOOOOOOOO. Ahahaha - she cracks us up, that one.
I know she will love her card because of the Pop-Up, the balloons and she recognizes her name when it's spelled out.
Today's share is the card I made for our Granddaughter's second birthday. It's hard to believe she is only two - seems like she is more like ten! She is a character, that one - full of spitfire & joy and is smart as a whip. I call her Sunshine and she truly does light up a room.
