Butterfly Sympathy Pop Up Card

Hello crafty friends ...

This card has been done for awhile, but I haven't been able to share it until we knew that Karen Burnsiton's newest release wouldn't be delayed again. With everything going on with the Corona Virus, manufacturing and shipping all over the world has been turned topsy turvy.

I used a subtle patterned paper and some pretty acetate 3-d Butterfly stickers for the main decorations.

Remember you can always see my interactive card videos HERE on YouTube.

The Paper Frames Pop Up is similar to the retired Anita Frames with a few key differences. Rather than cut into the inner card like you did with the Anita Frames which then required a backing card, it cuts as a separate piece that can be mounted right into your card base. The centre frames are also a little larger than the previous version - I'm going to be using the new Paper Frames Pop Up a lot!!

Tip:  Once die cutting the Paper Frames piece, I find it helpful to 're-score' the centre line and the two edges.

I added a stitched scalloped border to either side, and stamped the sympathy words in brown, and there is room on the right for me to sign our name and write a personal message.

Into my stash with this one ...

  2. Mickey - glad you like my card! The new Paper Frames Pop Up die is by Karen Burniston, and it makes this type of card much easier to make than trying to figure out the cuts and folds on your own. She is running a bit behind, but soon she will have an assembly video right on the product page. The website is karen burniston.com Hope that helps!
