Hello my crafty friends
I have been waiting for WEEKS to share this card with you! Karen Burniston's new release has an amazing die set called the Photo Collage Pop Up. Since the Designer Challenge was this week, you have probably seen all the really cool cards made with the Photo Collage set using photos. It's going to be a hugely popular die set. But of course I had to do something different with it so chose these lovely succulent papers and printed embellishments and got to work. I am thrilled with how it turned out.
Here is the front, using the 'Enjoy' from the new Enjoy the Ride die set. I added some of the letter stickers that were included in the paper pack but did add glue to get them to adhere permanently.
I added Stickles to the succulents - lots of lots of glitter glue went into the making of this card. Ha!
Here is the card fully open. There is just an explosion of elements!
Even with all this dimension, the card folds completely flat for mailing. Completely flat - it's amazing how flat it folds!
Karen Burniston puts a lot of thought into her dies and if you make this one as shown there are no catch points. But when you branch out as I did, there is the potential for catch points. Everywhere. So I used wet glue and folded the card with every single addition. The wet glue gave me a little wiggle room to adjust the embellishments as needed to keep the mechanism moving smoothly. This did take a little time but oh, it's so worth it when you open the card and see the dimension.
The terrarium and leaf elements were fussy cut from different papers in the stack and adhered flat inside the card. Then I added more Stickles!

Since it's hard to show this pop up in still shots, I am including a short YouTube video so you can see this card in action.
