Autumn Greetings Slimline Card



Hello crafty friends ...

For my card today, I pulled out a few older techniques. The first one was that I used the pretty flower image from the Autumn Milk Cans stamp set - the same one as the focal image - and stamped the background panel. Stamping off the edges kept the pattern from looking too 'organized'. It's very subtle but I love how it ties in the focal image.

The second technique was to pull out my chalks! After stamping the focal image with Versamark Ink (a clear, sticky ink) I added colour with chalks and a cotton swab. Oh, how I used to LOVE to do this and I will be doing it a lot more in the future. Such a fun and easy way to add colour to an image. In fact, I liked it so much I added another image from the Autumn Milk Cans to the envelope and coloured that the same way!


Inside, I added a stitched Fishtail Banner as a signing block. Those leaves on the patterned paper have embedded glitter and it would be difficult to sign our names over them. The sentiments come from the Happy Hayrides stamp set.


Here is a look at the stamp on the envelope front. This is such a pretty stamp set!
