Today I'm sharing my last Halloween card for the year - and it's probably my favourite one. I have a walkthrough of my card on YouTube with all the details so I'll keep my comments here to a minimum.
The skeleton had been in my stash for many years, and this year I actually assembled it and got it onto a card! The striped patterned paper has lots of sparkle, and the bats are also shiny. Just for fun, I added the skeleton to a (trimmed) Action Wobble and he bobs and wobbles on the front of the card. So fun!
Inside, I used one of the arms from the Upsy Daisy Pop Up to animate the cat & pumpkin. Those elements are stickers that were adhered to white card stock and fussy cut.

I went literal with the candy theme, and used some YNS products to make Halloween Treat Holders for two of our grandikids. The Way Cool Monsters are so fun to colour up, and I added some googly eyes for additional fun.
When I was writing up this post, I saw that the Treat Topper is out of stock. But you can sign up to be notified when it comes back in! (I get a lot of questions about where people can get this great die, every time I post a project using it.)
When I was poking around in my Halloween embellishment bin, I found these foil circle stickers that have been in there for YEARS. I used them to make three additional Treat Holders for the rest of the Grandkids.

I'm back today with another group of cards that I will be donating to my Mom's old nursing home. This is the second round using Alicia's February 2020 Sheetload of Cards sketch and cutting template, but I really loved it and actually have a third set of cards made that will be shared another day!
For these ones, I actually got the cards layers all made up then went through my embellishment bin pulling out stickers etc that I thought would work with the colours I'd chosen. Then I added the die cut label and chose the sentiments for the card fronts.
I used my Mini MISTI for the stamping inside - probably my most essential stamping tool.
Today I'm sharing the treat holders I gave to our daughters for their Thanksgiving tables this year. The Canadian Thanksgiving was earlier this month, but because of COVID we weren't able to get together and celebrate as a family. Well - lets be clear. We CHOSE not to get together BECAUSE of COVID. Apparently lots of Canadians thought that COVID shouldn't interfere with their Thanksgiving and went ahead with their traditions and family dinners and a big rise in the number of positive cases increased accordingly. As our Health Minister says ... COVID loves a party. Sigh.
We dropped off the treat holders with a porch visit, but (shiver) porch visits aren't going to be nearly as much fun now that the weather is turning colder!
The Treat Holders were part of the September Paper Pumpkin Kit, and it was a kit that was JAM PACKED with embellishments. You could make either Thanksgiving Treat Holders or Halloween ones ... or both!
I filled these ones with Hershey's Kisses, but didn't do too much embellishing because I know that the grandkids would just be ripping them open to get the candy. I wanted them to look nice on the table but also didn't want to put too much time and effort into them for that reason. Thus, I have a TON of elements leftover to use on future treat holders or cards etc etc.
All in all I made 9 of these Thanksgiving Treat Holders, then joined two together to make one larger diameter one for my husband & I to share (we had our own special dinner, just the two of us) but time got away from me and I didn't get that one finished. I guess I'll have it for next year!
Everything came included in the Paper Pumpkin kit but the punched Tailored Label which is also by Stampin' Up.
I'm back today sharing another card with Karen Burniston's upcoming release and another way to use the Holly Pattern Plate die!
I also used the new Crosshatch Long Rectangle dies which are perfect for Slimline cards! After die cutting the largest Crosshatch Rectangle, I cut the Holly Pattern Plate twice from green patterned paper with some sparkly bits in it. Those were layered at the top and bottom of the rectangle snipping off any overhang on the edges. I didn't' worry about how they matched up in the centre, because I covered that area with layers of card stock and more sparkly patterned paper using the same Crosshatch Long Rectangle dies.
Since the berries were cut from blue glittered card stock, I also die cut the Merry Christmas from it and adhered it on the top white layer in the card centre. Then the panel was adhered to my Slimline card base.
Inside I added two more layers cut using the Crosshatch Long Rectangles, adding a stamped sentiment, strips of the sparkly striped paper and a single leftover holly sprig.
I enjoy making Slimline cards, Christmas cards and I like some sparkle on my cards these days ... so this one ticked all my boxes!

The Pattern Plates are sized to fully cover the front of a standard A2 card. Because I wanted to make a shaker card, I needed a frame to hide the foam tape underneath, so I nested two Crosshatch Rectangles together to create my pretty crosshatch frame. Both the Snowflake Pattern Plate and the frame were die cut from white pearlized card stock and I set aside the fallaway rectangle from the frame piece to use on another project. The cut-aparts were in the same paper pad as the patterned paper.
Inside, I used both the new Mini Pops and the new Holiday Charms as well as more patterned paper.

I used my much loved rainbow packing tape again for the background ... I absolutely love it, but it is thin tape so care and patience is required to use it.

I thought this would be a fun and happy card to donate to my Mom's old nursing home.
Yesterday I shared a Slimline Bridge Card and video but when I was finished with the card there were a few stickers leftover on the sheet. I have had these stickers in my stash for too many years for me to put them back in the bin so I decided to use them up and make another Slimline card.
I attached the stickers to scraps of acetate and fussy cut them out, then used thin foam tape to adhere them onto my card.

You can see the shine you get from the stickers, from the acetate they were adhered too and hopefully you can see that all the purple stars on this patterned paper are flocked. I love Doodlebug Designs!!!
The sentiment is from the Mini Strips Halloween from Taylored Expressions.
There was only one tombstone left on the sticker sheet, but I managed to use everything else up. I could have tucked that tombstone behind the fence on the card front, but everything was already adhered and I decided I was OK not using that one sticker.

Today I'm sharing a Bridge Card that is also a Slimline Card. I have had this sticker sheet by Frances Meyer in my stash for many years. It featured a 12" long fence sticker and I just never got around to using it on a scrapbook page or A2 sized card. But since I love making Slimline cards these days, this year when I pulled the sticker sheet out of my bin I knew I could use it to make a Slimline.
Jenifer McGuire had done a video on making Slimline Bridge Cards, and I decided to give it a try.
Since I went over the details in my video, I will keep my comments to a minimum here. This was a fun card to make and I will likely try it again maybe for a Christmas card. I certainly have enough border stickers in my stash to make more! Ha.
I added some stamping on the back and a pair of creepy hands just for fun. This is where I will sign our name before we go to send the card.
Here is a quick recap of the measurements I used:
Cut your card base 11 x 4"
Score 1-1/4" and 2-1/4" from each end (for the sides of your card)
Acetate strip: 8.5 x 2"
Decorate as desired!
There were a few pumpkins and a bit of the fence sticker leftover from this card and no way I was putting that sheet back in the bin. I was determined to use it up so I'll be back tomorrow with another Halloween Card that finished off the sticker sheet.
Today I'm sharing a Pop 'n Swap Halloween Card using dies by Karen Burniston. I also have a video walk through for you on YouTube.
My card today started when I pulled out my Halloween Cards to see what I'd made last year and how many I would need to make for this year. I pulled out a card that had been in the bin for at least 5 years!! I loved the card, but the trouble was it was very bulky from the chipboard elements I had used on the pop up inside and it would cost waaaaaaaaay too much to mail. I figured I would hand deliver it, but never had the opportunity to do that. So this year I decided to pull it apart and use the elements to make a card I COULD mail.
I kept the card front fairly simple because all the fun is on the inside.
As you could see in the video, when the card is opened the moon slides down behind the haunted house and the ghost pair appears. The die used was the Pop 'n Swap - it's so fun!
The owl on the tree even has a real feather on it! I went over the tree with a gold shimmer pen - this was before I had the shimmer spray or I would have used that.
The chipboard haunted house has several layers to it so that added to the bulk on the previous card.
I had fun re-making this card - the Pop 'n Swap is fun to play with and makes for a fun card to receive too!

I received my Octobert 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit from Stampin' Up last week and couldn't wait to get started on it. The kit comes with everything you need (except scissors) to create eight Christmas cards, but I ended up getting ten cards and still have a few items leftover. I have a walkthrough of my cards on YouTube for you as well.
The cards are larger than A2 - they are all A4, or 4 x 6" and come with lovely envelope with a red printed liner. I'm so impressed with the quality of those envelopes. Now I am posting a lot of photos, because Paper Pumpkin subscribers LOVE to see alternative uses for the kit. You won't offend me if you are not a PP subscriber and just want to have a quick look at a couple of cards and move on. Ha.
Right off the bat, I cut one of the pretty card bases in half for my first card. And I made a Z-Fold card that is an A6 size (4.5 x 6"). Other than that, I kept fairly close to one of the two card samples they provide for guidance. The wreath is a punch out piece already printed with a pale green and the red berries. The Paper Pumpkin stamp set has a lovely wreath stamp that you overstamp onto that wreath ... and I used Ohuhu markers to colour in the open leaves.
I have to say that I really like the stamps in this kit and will get a lot of use out if it.
In addition to the wreath and sentiment strip punch outs, there were also some florals. I did use a few of them, but they aren't necessarily Christmas looking so I decided to save those for Birthday Cards and dig into my Christmas Embellishment Bin instead.
These next two cards are also Z-fold cards, and I added glittered chipboard elements to them on top of a Stitched Label. I love red and Kraft together! I also added a panel of lightweight card stock to the backs to make the cards a little more sturdy. I chose lightweight rather than standard or heavy, to keep the cards from being too heavy.
The sentiment comes from the SU Merry Moose stamp set and I used the Banners Pick A Punch for the ends.
Studio Katia's Gold Fever Confetti added the perfect amount of sparkle. All the red glittered embellishments are used up now - only the gold and green ones remain.
Here is another alternative and another Z-Fold card. I like the size and fonts on the Merry Christmas stamp! I cut a 2-1/4" strip from the front of one of the remaining card bases to add to the left front of this one.
I snipped one of the floral punch outs in half and added it in behind the stamped panel.
This is probably my favourite card of the bunch - you know I love to use acetate on my cards! I had cut a 2-1/4" strip from one of the card bases for the Z-fold card above, so used 10ml acetate on this card front to make it a full width.
The sled is a die set from Joset at Elizabeth Craft Designs. When I opened my Christmas Embellishment bin I had a baggie with three already cut and assembled sleds in there. This red one was perfect so I grabbed it and added a few shimmer sprayed punched sprigs along with a twine bow.
Below is the inside of the sled card. I like the different sentiments included in the stamp set and how you can mix and match them.
This card was actually the second one I made and it also follows their suggested layout pretty close.
Inside, I added stamping and a small strip of the foiled card base that was trimmed away on the first card.
This next card also follows the suggested card design .. well sort of. ;-)
I somehow got glue or something on the gold foil PEACE so to hide it I covered the word with Stickles. In addition to more sparkle and shine, you can't see the marks anymore!
Below is the inside ... with a panel of patterned paper to make the card a little more sturdy. I do not like flimsy cards!
For this card I cut the gold foil banner in half so I could extend it out towards the sides of the card more. I also added more sparkly punched sprigs and a burgundy card stock mat behind the cable knit piece.
Finally, you KNOW I had to make at least one Slimline card using the kit! Once I was finished with my Paper Pumpkin card bases, I used two of the leftover wreath punch outs and the cable knit embossed rectangles as my focal points and made a pair of Christmas Slimline Cards.
The patterned paper by Basic Grey is one that I've had in my stash for 6 - 7 years at least. I did use up a number of sheets, stickers and borders from the package on these cards! I used the PP twine to wrap around the wreath before adhering it to the inked cable panel and then both got a blast from my shimmer spray. I also added plenty of gold Glitter Dots for holiday sparkle and shine.

I really enjoyed this months kit and making these pretty holiday cards cards. I just worked on them in the evenings until almost everything was used up, saving the leftover floral punch outs for other cards another day.
