Hello my crafty friends
Usually I put a dog on any card that has a pet theme, but I'm having so much fun playing with this stamp set by Your Next Stamp that I decided to use it instead. Since two of our grandkids have fish as pets, it counts! This will be our grandson Zachary's birthday card.
I stuck with 'boy' colours but did add a touch of shimmer to the fish and turtle shell. These fish would be super cute with tiny wiggly eyes added, but I figured Zachary would try to pop them off right away so these ones got their shine from a black glaze pen.
I think this card would be fun to make again for the grandkids to take to birthday parties, so that is also on my list of things to do. I also want to make a different variation for our grandson Ilai as they have a large aquarium at home and he has his own little one in his bedroom.
It's Saturday and that means a new challenge at the Crazy4Challenges Blog. Our February hostess is Kathleen Adams. Kristine Reynolds joins us as our Guest Designer this month and you can find her blog at: Stamping and Scrapping in California.
This is Kathleen's challenge: "Today is National Dog Biscuit Day so put a pet on your card. It doesn’t have to be a dog."
