C4C471 Sketch Birthday Card for Boys

Hello my crafty friends

It's Saturday and that means a new challenge at the Crazy4Challenges Blog. Our February hostess is Kathleen Adams. Kristine Reynolds joins us as our Guest Designer this month and you can find her blog at:  Stamping and Scrapping in California.

Since this is the third Saturday of the month, Kathleen has a sketch for us:

For my card today, I turned the sketch on its side. I love that sketches are guidelines and can be changed up to suit your needs. They are such a great jumping off point!

I wanted to use a couple of new-to-me items from Your Next Stamp - the Porthole and Anchor die set and the fun fish stamps.

I added black glaze pen detailing to the fish eyes. They would be really cute with little wiggly eyes and I can't wait to try that next.

Here is a peek at the inside:

While I was working on the card, I decided to make a second identical card. It never takes twice as long to make a second card and that gives me two more cards to donate to my Mom's nursing home. I typically donate 25 birthday cards each month so I like to keep on top of it.

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd  love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C471.
