Bright Cutaway Birthday Card

Good morning friends

My card share today uses another new-to-me die. You may have noticed I've been shopping for some new paper crafting supplies - I got money for Christmas and am putting it to good use. :-) I chose this die for a couple of reasons.

1 - It's large - so easily fills a card front with one pass.

2 - It cuts the design out of the card front, and I can see several different variations for this design.

3 - It will work great for masculine cards, in fact it will work for birthdays for just about everyone!

I'm also a fan of the Soft Finish Card Stock at Elizabeth Craft Designs so that is what I used for my card today.

After die cutting the white panel, I backed each of the openings with horizontal strips of different colours of card stock, matted it with the bright green then adhered it to the front of a folded pink card.  I'm loving this colour of pink - it's another new-to-me supply, the Guava card stock from The Stamps Of Life. I am very happy with the quality of the card stock and this colour is just what I was looking for. The pale pink, orange, yellow and bright green are the Soft Finish Card Stock.

I added glitter glue in some of the openings for some birthday sparkle.

Finally, here is a peek at the inside using an older stamp.
