Hello Friend Charm Accordion Card

Good morning friends

Today I have a cute little Accordion card to share, using the new Charm Accordion die by Karen Burniston. It makes a smaller than A2 card, but actually feels like a nice substantial card in your hand. When it's opened it is over 6" wide so don't be fooled by it's small size!

For the front I used the flower from the Flower Pop-Up, and the Hello is from the new Word Set 1 -  Greetings. The phrases are so useful - they are going to get a ton of use. I used my Xyron to apply adhesive to black card stock before die cutting and then the word was essentially a sticker. There is a square die included with the Charm Accordion, so I cut it out of blue and yellow card stocks, turning the yellow one into a diamond shape before adhering it.

Look at how cute this is when it's opened! In true Karen Burniston Accordion card style, the centre squares pivot to the inside as the card is opened - but with this die set they are joined together with a small frame. The Charm Accordion Die Set comes with several different charm shapes ... a butterfly (which I used on this card), a heart, an apple, a star and a flower. So really, a charm for any occasion. AND there is an additional charm set for Birthday's! Be sure to check all the new Karen Burniston Riley dies HERE.

As cool as the Charm Accordion Die Set is, there is one die included that is completely awesome - a JUMP RING die. Yes!! So you don't have to fiddle with real jump rings, unless you want to. It cuts 4 at a time; here I cut it out of black card stock but I have also cut it out of silver pearl card stock for a more realistic look on a different card.

Inside is another word die, and I included a pop-up heart from the Twist Panel Pop-Up. It is hidden when the card is closed, but pops up as it is opened.

The bee is from the Flower Pot Pop-Up, I cut it from yellow and used Karen B's suggestion to add the black using a marker. I did cut a second bee from white card stock, trimmed off the wings and adhered the white wings over the yellow ones. Then the body got a coating of Glossy Accents and the wings got glitter glue.

Remember that Karen Burniston has full instructions and how-to video's right on the website! There are twelve dies in this newest collection, and as you can see - they all work together. So fun!
