I bought the plant stamp set last year (Catherine Pooler) so pulled it out again to use for the card. After I fussy cut the images, I was putting the stamps in their package and realized that I had also purchased the die set. I didn't even check to see if I had them - I have no idea why - and ended up fussy cutting the plants. Grumbling the whole time. Ha.

Plant Themed Half Shutter Card
Welcome to Fun Fold Friday here on my blog!
I hadn't used the Half Shutter Card die set in awhile, so I pulled it out for today's card. It is from Divinity Designs and comes with all the layering pieces. I love that with just a couple of passes through your machine, all the cutting and scoring is done for you - and all the layers are a perfect size.
The patterned paper & journal card inside is from an older package that I am going to work on using up. There are some sheets that I absolutely LOVE (and what tempted me to buy the package in the first place) but there are a lot of 'meh' sheets too. I decided this wood panel print would make a good background for plants and I'm happy with how it turned out.
The sentiment panel is actually a cut-apart from one of the sheets. It fit perfectly, which was a happy surprise. The sentiments themselves are from Ellen Hutson - so fun! This card was made for a plant loving friend and I think she will like it.
Supplies used:
Patterned paper & Cut Apart - Farmhouse, Craft Smart
Wicker & Weave dies - Catherine Pooler
Green Thumb stamps - Catherine Pooler
Succulent Sentiments - Ellen Hutson
Gold Mirror cardstock
Catherine Pooler inks
Little Etched Butterflies - Paper Rose
Nested Hexagon dies - Pinkfresh Studios
Gold Fever Confetti - Studio Katia

Dog Themed Birthday Cards
As I work on my cards, I keep track of the supplies I'm using for each card in a notebook. That way I know what I've used when I finally take the photos and write up the blog post. When I was finished with this notebook I looked at the dogs on the cover and thought they would make a cute card. Grabbing a circle punch, I punched out the images and these are the cards I came up with ... a Slimline card and an A2 card. Both will be donated to my Mom's old nursing home.
First up is an A2 sized card. The embossing folder is many years old and I thought it would make a good background for the popped up dog elements.
The second card is a Slimline card and I was able to fit 5 of the punched circles on the front!

Faux Shaker Cards for Twins
Our Great Nieces are celebrating their 2nd birthday and here are their cards. I made the cards almost the same since they are twins, but made sure they weren't identical. I also added an A and an E to the front of their cards for their initials.
I created faux shakers by wrapping a transparency around the smaller panel, adhering the edges down on the back after the confetti and acetate ephemera was added. The papers & ephemera are from Doodlebug - I always love the cheerful colours and images.
Below you can see the inside of one of the cards - the other one has a different sentiment from the same set.
Supplies used:
Patterned paper - Lets Party, Doodlebug
Ephemera - Hey Cupcake, Odds & Ends - Doodlebug
Transparency
Mirrored heart confetti - Kat Scrappiness
Rainbow holographic cardstock - Recollections
Small Happy Birthday - LJD Birthday Greetings, MFT Stamps
Cloud punch - Stampin' Up
Pops of Color - Icicle

Deer In Forest Birthday Card
The Grassy Grove bundle (Stampin' Up) is a set that I added to my Wish List as soon as it came out. Every time a new catalogue arrived I would look at it and second guess myself before adding it to my order. Finally, in October, I wondered what the problem was. Did I want it because I would get a lot of use out of it or did I just like to look at cards that others made with it?
Once I figured out it was the former, I ordered it and I am SO happy I did! This was my first play with it and I have a page of other ideas in my notebook. It's going to be great for masculine cards for sure, and this one is going to our Brother In Law for his January birthday.

Bright Birthday Cards
Welcome to Masculine Card Monday here on my blog!
Today I'm sharing the final birthday cards made with this patterned paper pack. I've had it for years and there were a bunch of partial sheets left so I decided to use it up! You can find the other cards HERE and HERE.
On these cards I added a die cut Happy Birthday circle backed with more of the patterned paper as well as matted scrap paper strips and the card fronts were finished.
Inside I used the same stamp as last weeks and these cards will also be donated to my Mom's old nursing home.
Supplies used:
Patterned paper - unknown, old from my stash
Pops of Color
Happy Birthday - Stylish Sentiments Birthday, Papertrey Ink
Sentiment inside - In & Out Birthday, Taylored Expressions
Catherine Pooler coloured inks
Happy Birthday circle die - the Stamps of Life

Daisy Birthday Cards
There are not many sheets left in a package I've had for years, so I pulled out a few of the sheets and used the August Sheetload for the layout. The daisy's are made with two different sized daisy punches that I've also had for years.
I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock then used another older punch to punch them out.
I punched the daisy's from white card stock then lightly sponged light blue ink in the centre's. Once they were layered with thin foam tape (two large daisies and two medium for each card) I added Pops of Color in the centres for some shine. The sentiment piece was then popped up with regular height foam tape.
I stamped a sentiment on a white panel, added a couple of fishtail banners cut from the scrap papers then added the panels inside the cards. I was happy to use up some more of that paper (there are only two sheets left!) and I have four more cards ready to donate to my Mom's old nursing home!
Supplies used:
Patterned paper - Hello Happiness, Taylored Expressions
Daisy punches - Stampin' Up
Pops of Color, Icicle - Scrapbook .com
Small blending brushes
Hexagon punch - Stampin' Up
Sentiments - Large Birthday, Technique Tuesday

Butterfly Pop Up Card
Today I'm sharing a thinking of you card I made for my stash. I like having these on hand, as I can send it out for several different reasons or occasions. I'm working on using up this paper as well. This one was the 8x8" package but I also have a 12x12" package and I find the prints are just too big for cardmaking. I'm trying to make the best use out of it but have accepted that there are a lot of sheets that will not work and I'm going to give those to the grandkids for their craft box.
I used Hero Arts nesting butterfly shapes for the additional butterflies then the Thinking of You which is from the Stamps of Life. I like it when word dies come with a shadow!
Inside is the Butterfly Pop Up die set by Spellbinders, which I haven't used for awhile. Before adhering it down though, I cut a Crosshatch Oval from floral paper then cut it down the center. It was glued on either side of the center fold to relieve any bulk from the 'fold in a fold'.
Supplies used:
Patterned paper - Circle of Love 8 x 8" Stamperia
Thinking of You - the Stamps of Life
Glitter Dots
Stickles
Ovals Crosshatch, Karen Burniston
Pop Up Butterfly - Spellbinders
Nested Butterfly shapes - Hero Arts
Shimmer Spray
Lacy Layers dies - Waffle Flower
5 x 7 card blank and envelope

Honey Bee Card for Happy Mail
Today I'm sharing the eighth card using Paper Roses "Bee Happy" cardmaking kit. I know I have been posting a lot of cards with this kit lately, but I wanted to USE the kit and not just make a couple of cards and then put it away. I've done that before, and you know the saying "out of sight, out of mind?" Yeah. I don't want to pull out a half used kit in 3 years and wonder why I didn't just use it up at the time. Ha.
The foiled bee sticker is from my stash, and was attached to white card stock then fussy cut. That way I could pop it up with foam tape. I also added a little colour with alcohol markers and was happy with how it turned out.
The main panel actually uses a paper from Basic Grey that I've had for years. It worked so well with the kit I pulled it out to use with the cards. After embossing with the honeycomb embossing folder I rubbed gold Lunar Paste over the panel with my finger. It's hard to capture the shimmer in photos.
One more look ...
Supplies used:
Honeycomb Frenzy embossing folder - Sizzix
Stickles glitter glue
Narrow gold foil tape - Amazon .ca
Gold Lunar Paste
Gold foiled bee sticker - Amazon .ca
Alcohol markers

January 2024 Sheetload of Cards
Today I'm sharing my cards using the January 2024 Sheetload of Cards. This was another fun one and one I'll likely use again. I have a walkthrough of my cards on YouTube:
I didn't use any full sheets, but instead several different partial ones the package and it was good to use them up. The papers and elements are from Doodlebug and I've had them for a couple of years. I love the bright cheery colours!
Here is a look at the inside of one card but they were all done the same using a Catherine Pooler stamp set. I'll be donating these birthday cards to my Mom's old nursing home.
Supplies used:
Patterned paper - Love Notes, Doodlebug
Red dot paper - unknown
Ephemera - Love Notes, Doodlebug
Eat Cake - Simple Strips Birthday Stamp & Die, Taylored Expressions
White embossing powder
Mini Strips Birthday, stamp & die - Taylored Expressions
Other words from my envelope (shown in the video)
Black pen

'Bee Happy' Kit Card
There were so many punch outs in the kit and I loved that I could use multiples on a card without feeling like I would run out of them before I ran out of the paper. This card has a cluster of honeycomb, cream & sugar pots, a honey stick and of course ... bees!
Supplies used:
Narrow gold foil tape - Amazon .ca
Stickles
Glitter Dots - Ecstasy Crafts
Gold foiled bee stickers - Amazon .ca
Front sentiment - More Essential Sentiments, MFT Stamps
Inside sentiment - Pursuit of Happiness, Stampin' Up (old)
