Princess Pop-Up Birthday Card

Welcome to Fun Fold Friday here on my blog! Today I'm sharing the pop-up card I made for our granddaughter's birthday. I haven't purchased any new stamps, dies, paper etc in the last year, instead going through and trying to use up some of my huge stash. This Disney themed paper I've had for several years so I pulled it out for her card. 

I added some Stickles glitter glue on the flowers etc, and added a little die cut cupcake and stamped sentiment banner on the front.

Inside, I used Karen Burniston's Raising Platform Pop-Up as well as her cupcake dies from the Cupcake Add-On set. Since I love sparkle on a birthday card, several of the pieces were die cut from rainbow holographic cardstock which really catches the light.

Pop Up Anniversary Card

This is one of those cards that are just better in real life. The gold just POPS! Since hubby and I both like to visit Arizona, I used Southwest papers, stamps and dies, and the pop up inside is Karen Burniston's Raising Platform Pop Up.  I have a walkthrough of my card on YouTube:  

I was happily surprised at how well I liked the cactus pieces cut from gold!

I added an extra fold inside the pop up heart, for even more hearts. 

The sentiment is just perfect for our Anniversary. 🥰

Party Dog Pop Up Card

I made this card for a dog-loving friend and I think she is going to get a kick out of it. I used one of the rainbow dog note cards that I have been having fun with - (I have a YouTube video sharing about those note cards HERE.)  For this card, the note card front was matted onto black card stock and I added a plaid washi tape strip down the left side. First the washi tape was applied to a strip of white card stock the length I wanted it and the ends tucked under. That way they don't peel or lift from the card base.

Just for some sparkle and fun, I also added a party hat and cupcake to the dog then the word celebrate (all dies by Karen Burniston) using both the same plaid washi tape and rainbow holographic card stock. 

Inside I used the Raising Platform along with the Happy Birthday (and Happy Birthday Shadow) & balloons from the Big Birthday Charms. In my head I wanted to do something with strips of acetate on the arms, but it didn't work out when I was making the card so I will have to think on that some more. But I am happy with how the card turned out - it's so happy & cheerful!

The sentiment was stamped onto layered Crosshatch Circles - I was careful to check for catch points before I adhered everything down. The dots are from my all time favourite stamp - a peg stamp by Stamps by Judith.

Sending Good Vibes Pop Up Card

Today I'm sharing a pop up card I sent to a friend.  As usual, my card started with the patterned paper which was in a 12x12" package. Going through the remaining sheets, I saw one with a large rainbow across the bottom half. It was too big to use on an A2 card, or a Slimline but I thought it might work on a 5x7" card. I cut the rainbow panel down to 6.75" keeping just the rainbow. So now my sheet was 12 x 6.75" and had a large rainbow across the centre.

I cut that sheet in half at 6", giving me two pieces with a half rainbow on each ... and I trimmed the outside down so each panel measured 4.75 x 6.75. Since there was a second sheet of this large rainbow print in the package I repeated the cutting above and had four half-rainbow panels ready to add to card fronts! In the photo below you can see how they would have fit together if I hadn't cut the sheet in half. (I will be sharing those cards another day),

I love that the rainbow arcs are glittery!

Inside I used Karen Burniston's Raising Platform Pop Up and a long rectangle cut-apart from the paper package. I added a fussy cut rainbow/cloud image from a different cut-apart and several punched clouds.

There are glittery bits on the cut-apart as well.

Birthday Rainbow Pop Up Card

Today I'm sharing a pop up birthday card made for a friend. As usual, my card started with the patterned paper which was in a 12x12" package. The rainbow arcs are glittery so I simply matted the panel onto coral card stock then to the card front. I added the Happy Birthday & Happy Birthday Shadow (both by Karen Burniston) with foam tape, then added a couple of punched out clouds. Finally, a few drops of Pops of Color for some sparkly enamel dots and my card front was finished.

Inside I used Karen Burniston's Raising Platform Pop Up to animate one of the cut-aparts from the package, and added a few paper strips that were leftover from other projects. I have been using this paper pad for a couple of years so there are lots of partial sheets etc in the package. I added a few more punched clouds then stamped the sentiment on the blue 'sky' part of the original sheet that was above the rainbow. That was punched out and adhered inside the card - watching for catch points.

German Shepherd Pop-Up Card

Today I'm sharing my first play with the Raising Platform Pop Up die set (Karen Burniston) and I made a card for our son-in-law. They used to have two German Shepherds and I know he will love this card.  I started with one of the rainbow dog note cards - I have a YouTube video about those** HERE **- then pulled out the rainbow stripe Washi Tape. I love how bright and happy the card front is!

Inside I used the nice big HAPPY die (Riley & Company) cut from a rainbow striped paper to mount on the Raising Platform and it worked out perfectly.

Below is a picture of the sentiment/signing block. I couldn't resist adding one of the peeking dog stamps (Catherine Pooler) along the bottom edge.

As I said in the video, I will move the Raising Platform mechanism up a little bit for my next card so it stands above the card when it's open. But I do like it like this look too.
