Family Room Pop Up Anniversary Card

It's Fun Fold Friday here on my blog! Last week I shared a Family Room Pop Up birthday card, and since I had the dies out anyhow I decided to make another one. This time I made an Anniversary Card for my hubby. 😊 Once again, those stamps (linked below) are just perfect to use with this die set! I added a TV from the Memory Charms onto the card front with a rainbow holographic tv screen. That black heart was sitting on my stamping table, a fallaway piece from a dog card I'd made earlier so I added that as well as the Happy Anniversary.

Here is a peek at the inside ...

I used some older patterned paper from my stash (Basic Grey) and some of those mirrored hearts I love so much.

Such perfect sentiments for hubby's Anniversary card!

Even though there is a lot of dimension with this die set, it folds down completely flat for mailing! Not that I was mailing it to my hubby, ha ha.

Having been asked how many cards I make I thought it would be fun to keep track this year. Many of my posts include more than a single card or project and below is my tally.

Card Tally for 2023
January - 53 cards
February - 56 cards
March - 55 Cards
April so far - 32 Cards

Additional Supplies:
Patterned paper - Ambrosia, Basic Grey (stash)
Rainbow Holographic cardstock - Recollections
Blue cardstock
White cardstock

'Greetings from the Couch' Pop Up Card

Today I'm sharing a Pop Up Birthday card I made for a friend, using older papers from my stash and Karen Burniston's Family Room Pop Up die set. This card folds completely flat for mailing and will mail for a single stamp!

I love the gold foiled bits on the cut aparts and some of the patterned paper sheets. The one with the house icons was just calling to be used with the Family Room Pop Up.

I had some scraps of this Mirri metallic cardstock sitting on my stamping table from when I made my Hummingbird Shaped Card last week, and they were perfect for cutting the lampshade and throw pillows from!

Ever since KB released the Bookworm set, I've been itching to add books to the Family Room Pop up - so this was the time. The rug is actually a border strip from one of the papers in the paper pad, and it worked perfectly!

Double Pop Up Gatefold Card for Karen Burniston's Designer Challenge

Hello crafty friends ...

Welcome to Karen Burniston's July Designer Challenge:  Theme: "TWO FOLDS" - make a card that incorporates two folds. This could be a side gatefold, a top gatefold, a side fold with an extra card inside, a z-fold, a double easel, etc. Any theme!

I talk about the details in my YouTube video below.

I wanted to make a special card for a friend's special birthday and this was the perfect opportunity!. The front of my Gatefold Card (two folds) has the Crosshatch Circles and also uses the Word Set 2 - Birthday, and the Numbers. Magnets hold the card closed.

In August 2018 I made a Gatefold Card with the Palm Tree Pop Up, which you can see HERE if you are interested. The following year, teammate Frances Byrne created a Gatefold with the Christmas Tree Pop Up instead of the Palm Tree. By then Karen B had released the Family Room Pop Up, so Frances added that as well. So my card today is a mashup of those two ideas! When you open the card, it lays nice and flat to display the pop up Palm Tree and Family Room too.

I LOVE the Palm Tree Pop Up - it's so easy to make and folds down completely flat for mailing.

The Family Room Pop Up is another fun one, and is perfect for these times when people are staying home more to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Note:  I cut the patterned paper card base to 12 x 5" then scored it scored at 3" and 9". Patterned Paper is not sturdy enough for a card base, but I knew I'd need to hide the two holes that die cut into the base for the Palm Tree Pop Up and would be adding card stock & more patterned paper to the front flaps and the back as well.

Check out the rest of the Design Team - their blogs are linked to the right. Karen Burniston will have her project on HER BLOG tomorrow, Wednesday July 8th.

Southwest Themed Family Room Pop Up Card

Hello crafty friends ..

Remember you can always see my interactive cards in action, HERE on my YouTube Channel!

After I was finished making the Family Room Pop Up card for our Anniversary, I thought it would be fun to make another one to send out to a friend. Always a fan of desert imagery, I chose this paper pad from my stash and this is what I came up with!

I carefully positioned the pillow dies onto one of the patterned papers to isolate little cacti for their decorations, and the pink cactus print is pearlized and catches the light.

I did the same thing with the picture frames from the Memory Charms. I have been itching to use the TV set from the Memory Charms, so this was the perfect opportunity.

Such a fun die set for the times we are in right now, right?

1108 Memory Charms - Karen Burniston

Family Room Pop Up Anniversary Card

Hello my crafty friends ...

Today I'm sharing the Anniversary Card I made for my husband (of 38 years!). He laughed when he opened it - he never knows what to expect when I give him a card, other than it will likely be a pop up of some sort. He thought it was great, and was impressed with the Family Room Pop Up.

I used the Home Sweet Home die set from Karen Burniston, adding a sentiment below it with my Brother Labeller.

Remember you can always see my interactive cards in action, here on my YouTube channel
