Hello my crafty friends. It's time for Karen Burniston's April Designer Challenge, where she challenged her Design Team to create a project with 'Flowers'. This time of year I'm craving 'green growing things' so I enjoyed creating a Pop Up card for our eldest daughter for Mother's Day. The front is nice and simple (but still sparkly!) because all the fun is on the inside ...
I did a walkthrough of my card on YouTube with all the details:
The little fairy from the Garden Charms shows up better in real life than in the pictures so I added a close up shot below.
The Garden Bench Pop Up comes with little pop up dies that can be used to add pillows (the pillow die is included in the set) but I used one of them to pop up the little flower pot on the bench. I used mostly the Garden Charms and the Backyard Charms and you can see the stacked flower pots behind the bench. NOTE: A few of the flower pots were die cut from recycled stamp packaging that I'd been saving.
This card is larger than A2, it measures 6 x 4.5" but the Garden Bench can fit in a wide A2 card (5.5 x 4.25"). I just prefer to make something other than A2 sized cards after so many years of making them.

I have the rest of the Design Team linked on the right side of my blog, and I hope you will check out what they came up with for the challenge. Karen Burniston will have her post tomorrow (Wednesday) on her BLOG.

Hello! Today I'm sharing a fun card using new release items as well as previously released sets from Karen Burniston. The new release will be available to order on Monday November 22, and we will be celebrating with a blog hop. You can contact your local store now to order though, as wholesale orders are already going out. I have a walkthrough of my card with all the details on YouTube:
The new Bayou Animals are too much fun - check out the teeth on the crocodile! I added Glossy Accents to each of their eyes for an additional detail.
Inside I added two more crocodiles along with the Garden Bench Pop Up. I have one of the crocodiles perching on the bench back and holding a flower in his teeth.
The clouds are from the Landscape Scene.

Hello! I wanted to have another play with Karen Burniston's new Garden Bench Pop Up, so I made a Halloween Card. I have a walkthrough of my card, including how I made the cute Pumpkin Pillows, on YouTube:
The Happy Halloween and the bats (from the new Haunted Tiny House Add On) were cut from black card stock and given some sparkle with shimmer spray. I also used the Crosshatch Circles and everything that is available is linked below.
Here is a peek at the inside ...
This new Garden Bench Pop Up is a revamped set that was discontinued years ago, and I am really liking it. It's so versatile!
The signing block was created with two of the rectangle dies from the Slim Flaps and Frames, and the sentiment is from MFT.

Hello! It's Fun Fold Friday here on my blog and today's I'm sharing several items from Karen Burniston's new release for a fairly quick and easy pop up card.
I used some pretty patterned paper I snagged off of the Stampin' Up Clearance Rack, KB's Crosshatch Rectangles and the new Word Set 13 Snow. I am so happy that some of her word dies now also have shadows 😊. The single snowflakes are from the new Snowman Pop Up and all of the new dies will be available on the 9th. Not long now! You can see the entireNew Release HERE.
Inside is the new Garden Bench Pop Up! I added the pretty winter scene behind the bench - what a lovely place this would be to sit and enjoy a winter view. If one was wanting to think about winter that is. Ha.
I didn't do a YouTube video to give my arm a break from video editing, but here is a short clip so you can see how nice and flat the Garden Bench Pop Up folds down.
The Snowflake Border is from the new Long Nature Edges 2, and the sweet wreath/bow are from the new Street Lantern Pop Up. All of the dies by Karen Burniston work together seamlessly, previous releases and new.
I love this new/revised Garden Bench Pop up, and wanted to share that you can create a fairly quick card that still packs a lot of wow.
