Pop Up Card for Passover

If you follow me you know I rarely post things in the same order I make them. This card was probably the 2nd card I made with Karen Burniston's Twist Flower Pop Up, but I didn't want to share it in the winter and saved it for closer to Easter/Passover.

I used the Tree Pop Up on the front of the card. After die cutting the tree foliage from a floral patterned paper then outlined each of the leaves with a fine tipped marker. The clouds are from the cloud punch by Stampin' UP and I added some penned dash/dot lines with a fine tipped marker for definition.

This is the inside - with a stamped sentiment on layered stitched circles mounted on the Twist Flower Pop Up. I used a couple of other dies by Karen Burniston and they are listed below.

I love all the lift you get with the Twist Flower Pop Up and how versatile that die set is!

Happy/Hoppy Spring Mini Slimline Card

Hello my crafty friends! It's Masculine Card Monday here on my blog and today I'm sharing a Mini Slimline for our Grandson for Passover.  The Giant Happy Spring die cut was inked with daubers and Catherine Pooler inks, added to a white off-set layer for a shadow, and then white gel pen highlights were drawn on. The cute frog is from Karen Burniston's Bayou Animals and I coloured inside the fly wings with a white gel pen.

Inside the card, I added another frog and pair of flies - I know he is going to get a bigger kick out of the fly's than the rest of the card, ha ha. I hand lettered Happy Passover and a simple message inside as well.

Pop Up Card for Passover

Hello my crafty friends. Today I'm sharing the card I made for our middle daughter and her family, who will be celebrating Passover. I have a walkthrough of this card on YouTube:

Inside I used the Paper Frames Pop Up and Border Blends Trims. The stickers are 3-d, but I did pull them apart and replaced the foam tape with thin foam tape to cut down on the bulk. Even though I'm hand delivering the card, It was pretty chunky with all the foam tape.

This die creates such a dynamic looking card. It does take a little patience to do the folding, but remember that Karen Burniston has assembly videos for all of her pop up dies and you can always refer to those for help. The die gives you impressions for the fold lines and the packaging photo is a great reference as well.

This card is an A2 sized, but a wide A2 - which I enjoy. Just a different look from the 'same old same old'.  Folded, the card is 5.5 x 4.25" and fits in a standard A2 envelope!.

NOTE:  I am linking a couple of different green mirror card stocks below for you. I keep most scraps and small pieces of specialty papers and just grabbed one of those for my card.

Shutter Card for Passover

Hello! I had another play with this die set and made a pretty card for our middle daughter & family for Passover. You can check out the walkthrough of this card on YouTube:

I used some 6x6" patterned papers from my stash and their coordinating printed elements. I wasn't confident that the patterned paper used on the shutter arms would hold up though.  To prevent it cracking and breaking away from the card sides. I reinforced the folds on the shutter arms on the back side with Scotch Tape.

In the photo below, you can see how much shine you get when you add a transparency behind the circle opening.

I actually started on another one of these shutter cards, which I will be sharing in a day or two. It's a fun die set for sure!

Supplies:
Card stocks - stash
Gatefold Reveal 2 - Taylored Expressions
Patterned paper & elements - Recollections
Tasteful Labels - Stampin' Up
Transparency
Chameleon Fineliner Markers
Stickles
Glitter Brush Pen
Card size - Standard A2 (4.25 x 5.5")

Slimline Card for Passover

Hello crafty friends ...

Today I'm sharing another Slimline card, this time a card for Passover. I have been re-organizing in my craft room, and came across this lovely patterned file folder that I didn't need anymore. As I was putting it in the recycle bin, I realized I could probably use it for a card.

I used a Slimline die set from Trinity Stamps that cuts the three stitched windows, then popped each of the windows back in their spot with foam tape. I like the subtle dimension this gives the card.  It's hard to see in the photo, but the centre square has a Star of David on it.

Finally, here is a peek at the inside ...

Supplies:
Pink and white card stocks
Patterned card stock is from an old file folder
Star of David die - MFT Stamps
Slimline - Stitched, Trinity Stamps
Fishtail Banner - MFT Stamps
Pesach stamp - Papertrey Ink
Joys of Passover - CAS-ual Fridays
Butterfly Punch - Stampin' Up

Card size - 3.5 x 8.5", fits in a #10 Business Envelope

Two Interactive Spring Cards

Hello crafty friends ...

Today I'm sharing TWO interactive cards with TWO videos! The first one is a 'swing' card, and the second is a 'pull tab' - both are for the two grandkids who celebrate Passover.

Remember you can always see my interactive card videos HERE on YouTube. The second video today is grouped with the card below this one.

Using the i-crafter Haley Alphabet die set, I personalized the card front with his name, and used a puffy cloud die for the greenery at the top. The inside is fairly simple, with some inked clouds and lettering that he will likely be able to read himself this year.

I think he will enjoy moving the swinging boy to the right ...

... and to the left by tilting the card.  I don't have a stamp with this phrase and my printer is out of ink, so I used a label maker to create the 'swinging by to wish you' greeting.

Now for Miss Alma's card. Once again I personalized it with an i-crafter alphabet die set - this one is the new Carly Alpha. I like that it comes with both capital AND small letters, as well as symbols and numbers. Plus, the font is pretty cute.

Remember you can always see my interactive card videos HERE on YouTube

I am SUCH a huge fan of Doodlebug Designs. I picked a couple of their 'odds and sods' printed elements for both cards, and on Alma's card the frog moves out from behind the daffodils when you slide the tab.

As usual,, the eyes all got a shiny treatment with a black glaze pen. And I added white details with a gel pen too.

Finally, here is the inside of Alma's card.

Spring Shaker Cards

Hello my crafty friends

Today I'm sharing a trio of cards I made using the Queen and Company "Bring on Spring" Shaker card kit. I love this kit so much!

The shaker cards are actually for the two of our Grands who are celebrating Passover. I didn't have any appropriate Passover images for them so thought Spring would work. They love shaker cards, so it's a win win. This first one is for two year old Alma, and I made hers with the tulip shaker.  The 'hello sunshine' was trimmed from a piece of Doodlebug patterned paper, and I added it because I call her my Sunshine. Whenever I see her, I say "Hello Sunshine" :-)

Ilai (age 4) is getting the carrot shaker card and I know he will get a big kick out of it.

Since I had everything out anyhow, and a scrap of the rainbow striped paper sitting on my stamping area I decided to see what the basket looked like cut from the rainbow paper. I didn't want to make a shaker and I was happy with it so cut a couple more carrots and some eggs and made a third card. This one is for Easter, rather than Passover.

I like the stamps that come with the Bring On Spring Shaker card kit, so used the words on the inside and added a stamped Peep too.

By the time I got the Shaker Card kit, my Easter cards for 2019 were already done. I will probably make a few more of these cute Easter Shaker cards and put them away for next year because I still want to play with the kit!

Hello my crafty friends

Today I'd sharing the card I made for our daughter and hubby to celebrate Passover. I adore the bright happy colours on the Doodlebug Designs patterned paper and cut-aparts.

Inside, I used Karen Burniston's Tree Pop-Up, and a few more dies from the Spring Things set.

I like using the 'cloud' die from the Nature Edges to create a stitched scalloped border on my cards.

Card for Passover

Good morning friends

Today I'd like to share the card I made for our daughter and family for Passover. I had used a sheet of images meant for pocket scrapbooking, and made my Mom some sweet & simple Spring cards for the Great Grandkids. They were posted yesterday and this 4 x 6" panel was on the sheet.  I knew I wanted to save it for a Passover card! I cut it down to 3 x 4" with a stitched journal card die and matted it with yellow card stock. The sweet flower border die is included in the die set for the scalloped card and it was water coloured before adhering it to the card base.

Inside is some hand lettering and doodling around the water coloured single flower.

Loving the scalloped card base these days.

Supplies:
Cut Apart - Photo Play
Stickles
Black fine point marker
Stickers - Mambi
White, yellow and teal card stocks
Stitched Journal Card Die - Lawn Fawn
Card, Scallop with Flowers & Sentiments Drop Ins - Stephanie Barnard (Sizzix and The Stamps of Life)
Marvy LePlumeII Markers
Water Brush
Dot stamp - Stamps by Judith
Nuvo Crystal Drops
