Your Creative Studio *UNBOXING*

The lovely people at Your Creative Studio reached out and asked if I would like to try one of their subscription boxes. I loved the vintage look of what they offer, and since I like to support Canadian companies I said sure! I did an unboxing video on YouTube, which you can find HERE

As you can see I created a Mini Slimline card using several of the items in the kit. The pretty patterned paper was stamped with one of the vintage stamps included and I inked the edges with a blending brush. Attaching a bit of the coordinating Washi Tape to a strip of white card stock made a border strip that has a little lift from foam tape. I stamped a stitched circle with a hello stamp from my stash and tucked it under that border strip.

Then I added a die cut butterfly, also added with foam tape and a few sequins.

Inside the card, I used two of the vintage Sticky Notes, one right side up and one upside down, overlapping them in the centre. A stamped, stitched die cut circle covers most of the seam and I added another one of the die cut butterflies (Divinity Designs).

Subscription boxes are a lot of fun - you don't know what you will receive, but everything is curated to work together and give you SO many options for creating! I can't wait to play some more with the lovely products that were included in this box, which is their November 2022 Subscription box. As I'm writing this post, it is still available on the Your Creative Studio website. There are also some lovely vintage stamps, stickers and other items available for sale!

Thank you again to Your Creative Studio for sending along this lovely box of planner, journal, card making and paper crafting supplies! Be sure to check them out at Your Creative Studio

Having been asked how many cards I make I thought it would be fun to keep track this year. Many of my posts include more than a single card or project and below is my tally.

Card Tally for 2023
January - 53 cards
February - 56 cards
March so far - 23 Cards

Additional Supplies:

Beautiful Day Card

Hello! Today I'm sharing the 10th card created using the April 2021 Blessings Box. I still have a lot of the printed flowers left and could easily make another dozen cards so you will continue to see them on my card shares.

Today's card also uses stamps, pretty papers and dies from Divinity Designs and everything is linked below. The flowers for this card are in the Beautiful Blossoms Set 1, and the stamps are in the Magnolia stamp set - also included in the April Blessings Box!

Four Panel Fold Floral Birthday Card

Hello! This is the ninth card I've created using the April Blessings Box at Divinity Designs, and I have linked everything  below. The card base uses the 4 Panel Fold Card with Layers, which is a Divinity Designs die set I purchased a couple of months ago. I love how versatile it is and if you follow me you know how much I like card dies that include the layering pieces!

The papers in the Floral Favourites Paper Pad are just SO pretty, and I also added the Happy Birthday and Layers to the second panel. It's hard to see in the photos but I added orange gems from Studio Katia and they have lots of shine in real life. The flowers are from the Paper/Die Duo Set 3 (April Blessings Box) and the stamped sentiments are from both the Magnolia and the Sweet Friend stamp sets - also included in the Blessings Box.

Below is what the card looks like when it is fully open and the white label on the final panel is where we can sign our name when I go to send the card.

Mini Slimline Floral Birthday Card

Hello!  Today I'm sharing the eighth card I've made using the April Blessings Box from Divinity Designs. I am really enjoying these pre-printed Paper/Die Duo's and hope they come out with more!

These ones are from the Beautiful Blossoms Set 2. I went with a white on white background for my Mini Slimline, using the lovely Mini Slimline Flourished Background over the Mini Slimline card base and everything is linked below.

The Birthday sentiments on the front and inside the card are in the Sweet Friend stamp set that is also included in the Blessings Box.

Note, the Mini Slimline Card Base die requires a larger die cutting machine.

Today's card is a Mini Slimline birthday card and I used several of the Mini Slimline dies from Divinity Designs which are linked below. I like the texture you get when you layer the Mini Slimline Leaf Background over a Mini Slimline Rectangle in the same colours.

Inside I used one of the sentiment stamps from the Sweet Friend stamp set that is included in the Blessings Box. I also added another poppy and leaf!

Note - the Mini Slimline Card Base requires a larger die cutting machine.

Lovely Day Accordion Card

Hello!
Today I'm sharing my sixth card using the April 2021 Blessings Box from Divinity Designs. All of the stamps, dies and patterned paper used today are from Divinity Designs and are linked below. I also have a walkthrough of my card on YouTube:

I purchased the Accordion Card with Layers die set back in April and I am really enjoying it! I know you can use a Belly Band to hold the card closed, so maybe the next time I use it I'll try that. Love how easy it is to change up the look of this die set.

The photo above shows what the card looks like coming out of the envelope, and I used the pretty blooms from
Beautiful Blossoms Paper/Die Duo Set 3. The sentiments were white heat embossed onto Double Pierced Vintage Labels and come from the Sweet Friend stamp set from the Blessings Box.

The beautiful papers in the Floral Favorites 6 x 9" paper pad are just stunning, and I love using fun fold card die sets like this that showcase all those pretty florals.

'A2' and Slimline Cards for Divinity Designs

Hello!  Today I am sharing two more cards featuring the June release at Divinity Designs and the supplies are linked below. You can also see them on the Divinity Designs Blog.

My first card is a top folding A2 card and started with the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer. Using the Double Stitched Rounded Rectangles, I die cut 3 nested pieces from a sheet in the Landscapes 6 x 6" paper pad.

The rectangles were adhered to the card base using different thicknesses of foam tape for added dimension. The sentiment from Scripture Collection 14 was stamped on white card stock that was die cut using the Slimline Pierced Rectangles and matted with the Slimline Pierced Layering Rectangles cut from blue card stock.

I added the Fancy Flourish and a butterfly from the Butterfly Trio, and finally some leaves and a flower from Bitty Blossoms.

Here is a peek at the inside:

My second card is a Slimline card featuring the Flower Layering Combo 1 and the Slimline Circle Windows.
The fallaway circles were added back into the openings, each with different heights of foam tape and I like the shadows they cast. I also used the Slimline Pierced Rectangles and Slimline Pierced Layering Rectangles on this card.

The stamped sentiment from Three Strands was added to a Double Stitched Circle that was then matted with a white Scalloped Circle. I used the same circle die sets for the white accent around the centre circle, cutting a Double Stitched Circle out of the centre of a Scalloped Circle to create a scalloped frame.

Look at all the dimension you get from the Flower Layering Combo 1.  I added Stickles inside each of the openings in the flower centre.

Finally, here is a peek at the inside where I used stamps from the new Three Strands stamp set.

**The Slimline Card Base requires a larger die cutting machine

Floral Lever Card

Hello!  Today I'm sharing my fifth card using the April 2021 Blessings Box from Divinity Designs. In fact, all of the stamps, dies and pretty patterned papers are by Divinity Designs and they are linked below. I chose their Lever Card With Layers for the fun fold card base - this is a die set I have used a LOT over the years. On the right side of my blog I have labels, and under the label Lever Cards you can see twenty plus cards made using this die set!

Below is what the card looks like when it comes out of the envelope. I added the beautiful roses from Paper/Die Duo Set 2, and a sentiment from Sweet Friend ... both were in the Blessings Box.

All the times I have made a Lever Card, and I rarely make them 'two toned' by using a different coloured card stocks for the outside and inside. But I really like the look, so you will see me doing that again for sure.

The die cut sentiment comes from the Celebration Words die set ... lots of single words you can combine to customize your card.

Card Duo with New Release from Divinity Designs

Hello!  Today I'm sharing two cards with the June release at Divinity Designs.

Here is the first card, and I went with a vintage feel with copper metallic accents. The sentiment is from the new Scripture Collection 14 added to the Oval Stitched Rows.  Also in the new release are two  Flower Layering Combo's and this first card uses the Flower Layering Combo 2 along with the new Fancy Flourish Die. The patterned paper is from the Rustic Beauty Collection and I used the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer as well. Everything is linked below!

The photo below gives you a better idea of the pretty layers in the Flower Layering combo and the shine from the copper foil.

Here is a peek at the inside, where I also used the Double Stitched Rectangles and added another sentiment from the Scripture Collection 14. I also added the little sprig from Bitty Blossoms.

This second card uses the Vintage Label Flip Fold With Layers die set, the new Three Strands stamps, the Butterfly Trio and the Flowering Layering Combo 1 dies.

See all the layers on this pretty Flower Layering Combo 1? So many possibilities with different colours, using fewer or more layers, cutting from patterned papers etc.

Below is the card opened, with one of the sentiments from the Three Strands set on a Double Stitched Circle and Scallop Circle. I really like the butterflies from the Butterfly Trio, so added two of them here and you can see that I added some light shading in and around the white heat embossed rope strand image.

Magnolia Card

Hello! Today I'm sharing my fourth card made using the April 2021 Blessings Box by Divinity Designs. This time, instead of using the Paper/Die duo's I used the beautiful Magnolia Stamp & Die Duo from the Blessings Box. It was gold heat embossed then coloured with water colour markers and a water brush.

The beautiful Leaf Outline Background die is also from the Blessings Box and for this card I die cut it from a dark teal pearlized card stock. The sentiment was gold heat embossed on one of the Oval Stitched Rows and I added a second one behind cut from the same green card stock as the card base. The card base uses the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer die set.

Here is a peek at the inside, where I added panels that were die cut with the Double Stitched Rectangles. The Magnolia stamp was stamped off the bottom right edge and then I added some light watercoloring with a blue water colour marker and a water brush.
