Trio of Back To School Cards

It's time to get these cards in the mail, as Back To School time is fast approaching for our grandkids! I shared two of the cards back when I did the May Sheetload of Cards, and here are the remaining three. 

I was able to use some smaller strips &  leftover pieces from the paper package for the layouts, and the word dies were die cut 3x and stacked together for a fun chipboard look. Since I didn't have the words I wanted in a stamp set, I used my label maker for the sentiments on the card fronts. The apple stickers were added to white card stock and fussy cut so I could pop them up with foam tape.

When I did the school themed cards using May's Sheetload of Cards (see HERE) I really liked the stack of washi tape with the apple sticker. I did it again on these cards to give a pop of colour inside while still leaving me lots of room to write a personal note to the grandkids.

Monster Birthday Wishes

Good morning friends

It's Masculine Card Monday here on my blog, and I have a Monster themed 'in a box' card that I made for our Grandson Ethan. I used Sandi MacIver's video (click HERE) for the box itself, and added these adorable stamped & die cut monsters.

The Lawn Fawn word bubbles are proving to come in handy and I'm getting lots of use out of them.

Here is the back of the card ...

... and the photo below shows that the card folds down completely flat. It would normally fit in an A2 envelope, but because I went outside the box perimeter with the word balloon I'll likely make one with my Envelope Punch Board. Otherwise a 4-1/2 x 6" envelope works perfectly.

Ethan is going to love this card!

6x 6" Square Birthday card for Olivia

Good morning friends

Today's share is the card I made for my Mom to give Olivia on her birthday. This card started as a CHA Make & Take but it was the end of the day and the people at the booth wanted to pack 'er up. So I said I'd take mine home and finish it so just gathered all the pieces and put them in the envelope.

Once I got home and settled, this is what I ended up doing with those pieces and a few extras. :-)

The little ballerina embellishment is so sweet, and perfect for Olivia. I added some die cut corners (and Glitter Dots) and Wink of Stella. Also added a doily, fishtail banners and some pink seam binding.

Here is the inside ...

The little word stickers were part of the Make & Take, so I added them to pink card stock and fussy cut them so they'd be a little larger. Lovely prints on this card, but there was no information on anything I took home so I can't give proper credit to the designer or company. The HIP HIP Hooray is  one of my new dies.
