Winter Owl Lever Card

Hello my crafty friends. Today I'm sharing another card using the Magic of Winter collection by Echo Park. Scrap 'n Stamp Canada sent it to me for our December 3 Blog Hop and I have been having lots of fun creating with it.  Click HERE to see my video, that includes links to the rest of the hop for inspiration! 

This card uses a die set from Divinity Designs - the Lever Card. I have had this for several years and always enjoy using it. One of the cut aparts was used for the centre front, with that adorable owl on the front. The snowflake on the cut apart was cut twice ... once from a scrap of patterned paper and once from fun foam. Then I adhered them together before attaching them onto the card. These sweet snowflakes were a 'free with purchase' gift a year or so ago and I couldn't find them on the website to link in the supplies.

Usually, you would use one of the dies to cut the inside panel from coordinating card stock then cut the layering dies from the patterned paper. For my card I cut the inside panel from patterned paper and didn't use the layering dies except for the far right edge.

Cutting that panel from white card stock, I was able to add one of the stickers from the collection, some bling and a stamped die cut sentiment. There was lots of room leftover for our personal greeting & signature.

Pop Up Anniversary Card in Purple

Hello my crafty friends and welcome to Fun Fold Friday here on my blog. If you follow me you know I rarely post things in the same order I make them. This card was made back in October and was actually my first play with Karen Burniston's new release. Specifically the new Bam Box and that is what I used to animate all the hearts inside. It is SUCH a fun die - and the spring action comes from a #8 elastic/rubber band. I'm so happy that they are now selling small bags of the elastics on the website.  So people don't have to purchase 1000's of them from Amazon or office supply stores. 😊

The card is held closed with a belly band that slides off to reveal the inside...

I added gold leafing to some of the patterned papers, and also used gold mirror card stock so this card has LOTS of shine. Oh, and Shimmer Spray too. 

I don't make a lot of 6 x 6" cards, because of the additional cost for mailing. But this one was hand delivered so it was fun to make a card in this size.

Dog Themed Humorous Holiday Cards

Hello my crafty friends. Today I'm sharing a pair of dog themed pop up holiday cards. The dog panels came from Hunkydory's 'Little Book Of Muddy Paws', and while they aren't actually Christmas themed I thought with the red background on these prints they would work.

This is the first card, and I added a red seam binding bow along with some bling. The funny sentiment is from Picketfence Studios, but may not be available any longer. I love it though!

Inside I used the Katherine Label Pop Up and the new Hexagons Crosshatch - both dies by Karen Burniston. Since there are three identical panels of each dog print in the pack, I was able to use two on each card and still have one of each left for other cards!

The second card got some gold gel pen detailing...

... and the inside was done the same. The inside sentiments are from the Perfect Sentiment Holidays stamp and die and they are linked below.

Pop Up Snowman Slider Box

Hello my crafty friends! Today I'm sharing my Snowman Slider Box - I had SO much fun making it. And so much fun playing with it afterwards too. 😂  I have a walkthrough of this project, with all the details on YouTube

I added some die cut snowflakes with gems, and two decorated Surprise Cubes and when you slide open the drawer everything springs out. So much fun! The Snowman was adhered to a Bam Box - all the dies are by Karen Burniston and linked below.

As I said in the video, the card was inspired by the patterned paper and the cute Snowman die. I die cut a window into the box sleeve and backed it with acetate. I had been having trouble finding my Snowman die, and wanted to finish the project. So I ended up adding the circular embellishment to the center of the acetate and then, just before I started filming the video I got the Snowman Die! I had wanted him peeking out the window so I will do that another time.

Dog House Pop Up Card

Hello my crafty friends. Every year our dogs seem to need vaccinations or medications in December so I like to bring the veterinary clinic a holiday card and a little gift. This year I am using the Dog House Tiny House Add On (which is an add on set to the Tiny House Pop Up) for their card.

All the dies I used are by Karen Burniston and linked below. I stamped onto lightly patterned paper for the card decorative layers, and adhered small magnets in between the layers to the card would stay closed as it comes out of the envelope. I thought the sentiment was a fun one 😊.

Below is the card fully open. This is a smaller than A2 card, sized at 4 x 5". Initially I was going to have a Bam Box in the upper right corner but my card base was too small and it wasn't working out. So I used the labels that are included with the Bam Box instead!

Both the paw and the roof dies have a cool stamping feature. You simply ink up the die and it stamps and die cuts with a single pass.

The stamping in brown was a little hard to read, so I went over the words with a black fine point pen. The heart, dog collar and dog bone were cut from copper foiled scraps and they have great shine.

I just love the little dog that comes included with the Dog Tiny House Add On!

Pair of Rockin' Rectangle Christmas Cards

Hello my crafty friends! I pulled out an older patterned paper pad for my card share today. In fact, I cut down several of the sheets and ended up with SIX similar card fronts. I made two each with different pop up's by Karen Burniston and these two use the Rockin' Rectangle. 

Next week I will share the card pair that uses the Little Labels Pop Up and if you'd like to see the ones already posted that use the Paper Frames Pop Up ... click HERE.  The card fronts of the first two and these two are very similar, if you are thinking that you've already seen these. 😂

I decorated the tree with peel off Glitter Dots so there is lots of shine but since they are flat stickers there is no extra bulk.

These two cards have the Rockin' Rectangle Pop Up inside. This is another one of my favourite dies by Karen Burniston and it goes together quickly.

The sentiment on the second card was done by 'reverse foiling' and I added gold gel pen highlights to the stocking.

Get Well Slider Box With Pop Up Surprise

Hello my crafty friends and welcome to Fun Fold Friday here on my blog. Today's project is another Sneak Peek of Karen Burniston's upcoming new release; using the Slider Box and Bam Box. I also added the Get Well Charms and I talk about lots of ideas for this fun box in my YouTube video:  

As I said in the video, I made this pretty much as soon as the Design Team received their sample dies -- back in early October! I wanted to send something to my Mother In Law, who wasn't feeling well and my husband was flying to Ontario to visit her. I thought this would bring a smile to her face. (She is much better now!)

Not only is there the fun pop up surprise (thanks to the Bam Boxes) but chocolates too! I stacked two Bam Boxes but you could also use a strip of acetate that is adhered to the bottom of the box instead. I just HAD to try the Bam Box and have been using it a lot since It is SO versatile and I hope you have been enjoying all the sneak peeks that the Design Team has been sharing this week.

Below you can see all the items that are in this new release, which will be shipping on Monday. We will also be celebrating with a Blog Hop on Monday.

One of the ideas I suggested in the video, was to create a sleeve for tissue packages - perfect for cutting into a gift package! I used the rest of the patterned paper from the box above, and a felt sticker that had been sitting on my stamping table. It was leftover from another project and I figured it was a great way to use it!
