Hello Pretty Poppies

Good morning friends

I wanted some playtime with the new Poppy dies at Elizabeth Craft Designs and made a few Poppy cards. The die cuts are so pretty! Here I cut them from white card stock and added colour with Pan Pastels.

The centre of the open poppy has black Prills (like little plastic beads) in the centre, and I added the hello from the Rectangle Accordion to Stitched Fishtail banners. Everything was mounted to a white panel that had been embossed with the Sea Glass embossing folder.

Here is a peek at the inside, I left it blank so I can write a note inside.

I'll be back tomorrow with another card made with the same ECD Poppy dies.

Christmas Pop-Up Cards for the Grandkids

Good morning friends

I'm back today with a pair of 'stash buster' cards that didn't get shared last December. I used my pre-cut Pop 'n Cut bases from my stash with the larger Sizzix scalloped card die for the outer cards. The embellishments were in my stash.

Here is the first card ...

This one uses the A2 Pop 'n Cut base by Karen Burniston, with the Wavy Label Insert. That insert was a favourite of mine.

And the second card ...

... with the same Pop 'n Cut Wavy Label Insert. The green patterned paper is embossed and glittery, and the ornament stickers are also glittered.

I had so much fun making this card. Last year I spied the Lawn Fawn BBQ set and for some reason I HAD to have it. It was perfect to use on this card, and I got to play with my new Zig Clean Colour Markers too. (They were a birthday gift from my parents).

I added a little 'Wink of Stella' in places for a LITTLE shimmer.

Baby Boy Pull Card

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have a baby pull card to share.  Joset at Elizabeth Craft Designs had a baby boy in January, and this is the card I sent to her & her family. I used the Spiral Circle Pull Card by Karen Burniston for the card base and some new stamps to decorate the circles.

The banner set on the front was free with Stampin' Up's Sale A Bration, and the sweet little bunny and bird are new Krista Schneider stamps available at Elizabeth Craft Designs. The corner dies are also ECD.

Inside I added a stamped and die cut banner, as well as another little stamped bird.

Olivia, Ethan and Zachary's Easter Cards

Good morning friends

Today I wanted to share the Easter cards I made for 3 of our Grandkids. The other two will be celebrating Passover and not Easter, so I had Welcome Spring cards for them which I shared earlier this month. 

I had so much fun with the Doodlebug printed panels at Halloween, I bought a sheet to make Easter cards with. I adore the sweet images on them - they make such quick and easy cards!  This one is for Olivia ...

I used a clear glaze pen so there are shiny bits on the printed piece.

This one is for Ethan - the bunny has a blue tee shirt and Ethan loves BLUE!

The bunny has a shiny nose and eyes.

Looks like I didn't take a photo of the inside, but it is similar to Zachary's below.

I found the Pillow Box Punch Board on clearance, so I am going to make a couple of cute Pillow Boxes to put some Easter goodies for the kiddo's.

Happy Easter Day Cards

Good morning friends

I am determined to finish some of the 'in progress' cards I have going on. For today's card share, I actually made 4 identical cards.

The stamped and layered panels I had done about 4 years ago and never got them mounted to a folded  card. I believe I had just purchased my first couple of Copic markers when I coloured the images. After adhering these panels to the folded cards, I decided to made the inside a pop-up.

I used one of the tiny tags from the Blueprints #1 to stamp the word EASTER, and adhered it over the ombre coloured words. This is one of my new Pop-Ups and it's going to be lots of fun.

Into my Easter Card stash with these ones.

Pop-Up Mother's Day Challenge Card

TaDa - Karen Burniston's Flower Pot Pop-Stand makes an amazing card. It's hard to believe it folds up completely flat to easily slide into an envelope.

Father's Day Box Card

Good morning friends

It's Masculine Card Monday here on my blog and I have a Father's Day Box card to share today. Once again I followed Sandi MacIver's video which you can find HERE to create this cute rectangle Box card that folds up flat and fits in an A2 envelope.

I used Karen Burniston's Western Edges & Beach edges as well as cactus dies from the Stamps of Life. The sunset was done with Pan Pastels - most of decorative elements were cut from white Soft Finish card stock and coloured with inks.

This is what the card looks like folded up and ready to be put in the envelope.

I left the panel on the back blank for now, but this is where we will write our message on the card.

Christmas Hedgehogs Pivot Card

Good morning friends

Today I'd like to share another Christmas card that didn't get posted last year. I used Karen Burniston's Katie Label Pivot Card for the card base, and those adorable MFT Hedgehogs.

I added a gold embossed sentiment and Peel-Off snowflakes for some holiday sparkle.

Love these Pivot cards ... the images pivot from the front & back to the inside when the card is opened.

This was a fun one to make, that's for sure.

C4C-380 Zoo Gift Card Trio

Good morning friends

It's Saturday so that means a new challenge at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog. Our April 2017 Hostess is Frances Byrne and our Guest Designer is Kristine Reynolds. You can see Kristine's blog HERE.  

Here is Frances' challenge:  "Apparently today is Zoo Lovers Day ... so feature animals on your card wild or not."

The Great-Grandparents wanted to give our kids/grandkids Zoo Gift Cards last year for Christmas, so I got the gift cards ordered and made these cute Zoo themed Gift Card Holders to put the gift cards in.

They are fairly basic but they did look cute with the gift cards in them and the kids/grandkids liked them. I used Zoo print patterned paper and fussy cut designs for the card fronts from a sheet in the same stack. Those designs were then adhered to the cards with an Action Wobble so they bob and wobble around.

Inside each of the cards I used the Sleigh Gift Card Holder, a Pop it Ups die by Karen Burniston.  Instead of mounting the sleigh though, I added fussy cut embellishments to the Pop-Up portion. This is such a versatile die!

Below you can see how nicely a gift card fits into the slots that cut with the die.

Card #2 ...

Card #3 ... those panels bobbing around on the fronts really looked cute and the Great Grand kids loved them.
