Good morning friends
It's Saturday and that means a new challenge at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog. I am the hostess this month, with my Design Team Sister Kelly Booth as our Guest Designer. Kelly's blog can be found HERE.
I knew I wanted to do something for Remembrance Day, and Frances Byrne helped me come up with the wording for the challenge:
Inside the card I used the rest of this lovely water coloured poppy print paper. The other half was on THIS Crazy 4 Challenges card, posted last month.
Black gems were added to the inside butterflies as well.
I hope you all take time out of your day today at 11am to remember the fallen, the ones who gave their lives so we could have our freedom.
Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C 411.

I knew I wanted to do something for Remembrance Day, and Frances Byrne helped me come up with the wording for the challenge:
“Lest We Forget” In Canada and Australia, today is Remembrance Day. From
Wikipedia: Remembrance Day (sometimes known informally as Poppy Day) is a
memorial day observed in Commonwealth of Nations member states since the end
of the First World War to remember the members of their armed forces who have
died in the line of duty. Following a tradition inaugurated by King George V in 1919,[1]
the day is also marked by war remembrances in many non-Commonwealth
countries. Remembrance Day is observed on 11 November in most countries to
recall the end of hostilities of World War I on that date in 1918. Hostilities formally
ended "at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month", in accordance with the
armistice signed by representatives of Germany and the Entente between 5:12 and
5:20 that morning. Include Poppies on your card today, or make a card of gratitude
and/or respect.
I love these lacy poppy dies so used them as the starting point of my card front. Then I decided to use these lovely script words and make it into a sympathy card. Unfortunately I am needing yet another sympathy card this week.
The large poppy centre was done with gold and black Nuvo Crystal Drops, letting them meld together into one solid raised area. I also added a black gem to the front butterfly and sprinkled some black Nuvo Crystal Drops around the words.
