3-D Cactus Flip-It Card

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have a fun birthday card I sent to a friend in Arizona.

I used the 5 x 7" Circle Flip-Its die set, which makes such a nice big card. It was perfect to showcase the lovely Succulent Serenity papers. I know I've said it before, but I I love this paper pad. I wish I could find another one as I don't want to run out.

Just look at all the dimension of the cactus on the card front! Using the 2D and 3D dies by Lynda Kanase, I cut the Barrel Cactus six times and the spines 5 times. The patterned paper is double sided and you can cut two at a time.

Note, I sent this to a card-making friend who would instinctively know to fluff out the cactus, as I folded it flat down the centre for mailing.

The little succulent is so sweet. Here I just cut it twice and adhered it in the centre with a brad after inking and rolling the petals.

On the flip side of the 3D cactus, I added a die cut Happy Birthday circle which is another of my newer purchases. I cut it from a different patterned paper in the package so it all coordinates.

I save all the pretty scraps of this patterned paper, so added a patterned scrap and white card stock on the card back as an area to write her a note and sign my name.
