Two Mini Slimline for Divinity Designs

Hello!  Today I'm sharing two Mini Slimline cards made with stamps, dies and patterned papers by Divinity Designs. I am really enjoying creating Mini Slimline cards these days, so of course I was excited when DD came out with a Mini Slimline die release!

My first Mini Slimline card is a Birthday Card, and all the Divinity Designs Supplies I used are linked in the Supply list below.

I have become a huge fan of the beautiful patterned papers by Divinity Designs - they have a semi gloss finish to them and some of the pads come with coordinating solid papers.

More of the patterned paper inside, as well as a DD sentiment.

I was really happy with how this next card turned out, with the soft colours and all the layers.

The Mini Slimline Leaf Background Die is soooo pretty and have several ideas for it already.

Mini Slimline Hugs Pop Up Card

Hello!  Yesterday the Crafty Meraki Design Team had an Instagram Hop to celebrate their new release called Meraki Cheer. Today I'm sharing another card using one of the sets from the new release ... Love You Mom. Since I made this Mini Slimline a Pop Up card, I have a walkthrough on YouTube as well: 

This is one of those cards that has LOTS of shimmer and shine, but it's very hard to capture in photos. The main stamp (MOM) was heat embossed with a burgundy embossing powder that is mixed with gold. I went over all the flowers with a Wink of Stella pen, and the flower centres are raised and shiny from Glossy Accents. The popped up butterfly got both the shimmer AND Glossy Accents. Finally, I added the stamped rectangle to pink glittered card stock!

Inside I made a simple box pop up, and added the new Hugs With Shadow Word die to the pop up part along with a sentiment from the Here's To Mom set.

To add some interest to the background I used the Crazy Kaleidoscope stencil by Heffy Doodle (also available in the Crafty Meraki shop). 

The pretty floral spray from the Love You Mom set is one I am going to get a lot of use out of! Here I added one to the inside back and in the photo below you get a good idea of the shimmer from the Wink of Stella pen.

Meraki Cheer - a New Release!

Hello!  Crafty Meraki is having a 'Mini Release' and it is wonderful! I am sharing a Slimline card using two of the new items being released ... Wings of Hope and the Hello Shadow Word Die. We are celebrating the release with an Instagram Hop and I have all of those details near the end of my post. 

The card background was cut with the Craft A Round Slimline die, and I inked it with dye inks and blending brushes before adhering it to my white card base. Matting a white panel with gold foil card stock, that was added to the card front for a place to add my elements. Then, I gold embossed the largest butterfly from the Wings of Hope set and inked that as well. After fussy cutting it out, I added foam tape to the back before adhering it to the white panel.

After cutting the pierced shadow layer for the Hello, I brushed on the same colours as the background and the butterfly, then used Heffy Doodle's Fancy Foliage stencil to add the pattern. You can also find that stencil in the Crafty Meraki shop, and it's a fun way to dress up your die cuts. Then I cut the Hello portion twice ... once from white confetti card stock and once from gold foil. Alternating the colours gave me a second one to use on another project - in opposite colours! NOTE - remember to keep the fallaway pieces from the centre of the letters (like the loop of the h) so you can add them back in for a cohesive look.

Here is a peek at the inside, where I added another stamped butterfly from the Wings of Hope. This one was coloured with water based markers before I stamped it, and I stamped a  sentiment from the set.

Flower Pivot Panels Sympathy Mini Slimline Card

Hello!  Today I'm sharing another card featuring Karen Burniston's NEW RELEASE! Once again I made a Mini Slimline card and used the new Flower Pivot Panels inside. I have a walkthrough of my card on YouTube:  

While I thought about doing a completely white on white card, it just felt really flat so I brought ini some matte silver card stock from my stash. The With Sympathy is from a previous KB release and I really like the size of it. I added it to a panel of white pearl card stock and then some crystal Nuvo Drops.

Inside is the new Flower Pivot panels. In addition to the white card stock and the white pearl card stock I also added white glitter card stock! 

The 'Thinking of You' cuts as a single piece, which makes it nice and easy to adhere. It's from the Word Set 10.

The pierced rectangle for the signing block is from the new Waterfall Card die set.

Coffee Themed Napkin Fold Card

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a second Napkin Fold Card. The Napkin Fold Card With Layers** was part of the April Release at Divinity Designs. You can find lots of inspiration on the Divinity Designs Blog HERE, and I have a walkthrough of my card on YouTube: 

I really like the script on these But First Coffee stamps and I added one to the Belly Band and another one inside. The Oval Stitched Rows dies are new-to-me and I quite like the detail they give! The little spoon was cut from matte silver card stock and comes from the Bitty Cups & Mugs, which is what I used to decorate the inside as well.

Here is a peek at the inside, with all the folds opened up. I added the second layer of triangles only on the larger ones that surround the inside as well as the four outside corners. The Mini Cups & Mugs dies were perfect for decorating around the coffee themed words.

The card is held closed by a Belly Band, which is also a die set by Divinity Designs. It works great for holding closed those cards that have lots of folds and want to spring open when they come out of the envelope.

Coffee Themed Mini Slimline Card

Hello! I'm back with another Mini Slimline Card made with products from Divinity Designs You can always find lots of inspiration by Divinity Designs on their BLOG, and everything is available at Divinity Designs.  I was excited to see this Mini Slimline Leaf Background die in the Mini Slimline release so pulled out the Geometric Paper Pad (Slimline Sized) and die cut a panel from one of the sheets in that. 

The card base was cut with the new Mini Slimline Card Base** and after backing the leaf background with a confetti panel (cut with the Mini Slimline Rectangles), I adhered it to the card front. I used both the Double Stitched Circles and the Scalloped Circles for my focal element and stamped an image from the But First Coffee onto the top circle. I added just a touch of colour with dye ink and a water brush, then a layered flower and two sprigs from the Bitty Blossoms dies.

I wanted 'something'  at the lower edge of the card front, so used the smallest die from the Mini Slimline Layering Rectangles to cut & emboss a 'strip' which then gave me something to anchor this cute cup from the Mini Cups & Mugs dies. I added some sequins to the card front as well as Stickles for a little sparkle. You know I love a little sparkle and shine on my cards!

Finally, here is a peek at the inside, where I used the Mini Slimline Rectangles for the layers and stamped the confetti panel with another one of the images from But First Coffee. A little green spattering to break up the white space and a single flower & leaf from the Bitty Blossoms and my card was finished.

Retro TV Slimline Card

Hello! It's time for another Fun Friday Challenge at Your Next stamp, and #162 is a sketch challenge! 

As usual for me, I changed things up to make the sketch work for me. I flipped it upside down as I wanted to make a Slimline Card instead of an A2 size.

The Totally Retro set from your Next Stamp is too much fun and I added it here to layered ovals that have some ink blending in behind. Once I was finished with the card I added Glossy Accents to the TV screen and let it dry overnight.

Here is a peek at the inside. To keep the bulk down, I die cut the white Slim Stitched Panel and did the stamping on it. Then I cut a larger Slim Stitched Panel with the one I used for the white panel nested inside. This gave me a perfectly sized patterned frame that the white stamped panel could nestle into. I saved the fallaway patterned paper rectangle for another project.

Mini Slimline Card Duo

Hello!  If you follow me, you know that I have become enamoured with Mini Slimline Cards. I was happy to see that Divinity Designs has a new release that includes dies for creating Mini Slimlines!!  You can see the whole release on the Divinity Designs Blog HERE!  

I used the new dies to create two Birthday Mini Slimline cards. The first card is a top folding landscape card and features the Mini Slimline Card Base**, Mini Slimline Rectangles, the 6 x 6" Water Color Paper Pad and the new Slimline Happy Birthday And Layers.

Inside the card I added a white panel stamped with a sentiment from the Big Birthday Bolds stamp set.

The Second Mini Slimline is a side folding portrait card and once again I used the 6 x 6" Water Color Paper Pad. The purple mat is also from the paper pad, as there are some solid colours included in the pad.

I added one of the butterflies from the Butterfly Trio, cut from the same purple that comes in the Water Color Paper Pad. The shadow layer for the Happy Birthday And Layers was also cut from the same purple. The detail Happy Birthday layer was cut from white card stock that had double sided adhesive on it to make the adhering to the shadow easier.
