C4C433 Super Dad Pop-Up Card

Good morning friends

It's Saturday and a new month, so not only is there a new challenge on the Crazy4Challenges Blog, we have a new hostess as well. Amy Ottmers is our hostess for May, and our Guest Designer is Janis Lewis - Pause Dream Enjoy

Amy's challenge this week is:  Today is Free comic book day, make a "Super Hero" project/card. I would have been stumped for this one, except that I had picked up this fun stamp set from the Pink & Main booth at the Mesa Rubber Stamp Show in March. I chose it more for the images than the words, as having three Grandson's I figured the superhero images would come in handy for birthday cards etc. So it was a no brainer to use that set for my card this month!

I used Karen Burniston's Spinner Square Pop-Up to animate the inside - below you can see the card as it is opening. The window on the front has a transparency over the opening.

As the card opens, the flying superhero spins out from behind the centre square.

This card is actually a simple one with not a lot of layers. I used a single sheet of white card stock and some scraps for the frames. You could simplify it even more by not adding a window, frame and transparency. Or you could step it up by adding coloured card stock, patterned paper, trees & ground edge dies and labels, twine etc etc. The Spinner Square Pop-Up is very popular because of it's versatility.

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd  love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C433.
