Good morning friends
Tips & Tricks:
I have a fun project to share with you today. Last year my friend Kelly gave me a sweet little glass ball with succulents, which I loved. Unfortunately they didn't make it through the summer, but I kept the pretty glass ball intending to add some more succulents to it.
When I got the 2-D and 3-D Succulent dies by Lynda Kanase (Sizzix), I got right to work and made some succulents using her printed paper pad. They fit perfectly in the glass planter, and I don't need to worry about over or under watering them!

Tips & Tricks:
- Barrel Cactus - Cut 10 times from the Succulent Serenity paper pad and assembled as per directions on the die packaging.
- Succulents - Edges inked with Distress Oxide inks then curled around a pencil before adhering the petals together.
- Medium succulent - Cut 6 petals from the Succulent Serenity paper pad and assembled as per directions on the die packaging
- Small succulent - Cut 2 medium and six small petals from the Succulent Serenity paper pad and assembled as per directions on the die packaging
- I found it helpful to use a strong glue. I used the Lineco PH Neutral adhesive, which I've been using for the last year and I love it.
- The 3-d pieces were then placed inside the container, which already had the soil, moss and gravel inside it. I did not secure them, as they are just nestled right down into the soil & moss.
I'm so happy with how this project turned out! I moved the glass bowl from my kitchen counter to a shelf in the family room that needed a little greenery but would be difficult to add water to real plants.
Supplies:
