Apothecary Jar Mini Slimline Halloween Card

Hello!  When I was packing up the patterned papers from the previous couple of Halloween cards, I decided that the scraps, strips and leftover bits would make a cute background. After pulling out this Mini Slimline die from Taylored Expressions, I created this colourful background panel and finished one more card.

The cute skull inside the jar is sporting a pair of enamel dot eyes, to coordinate with the pieces patterned paper with the eyeballs on it.

Here is a peek at the inside. I used stamps from Your Next stamp for the words.

While the Doodlebug Designs patterned paper & elements are no longer available, I have linked similar ones by Doodlebug. I also have these - such a Doodlebug fan here! 😊

Halloween Half Shutter With Pop Up

Hello!   I'm back today with another Half Shutter card for Halloween and this time I did things a little differently. I didn't use the layering dies and created an additional pop up inside ... all the details are on YouTube!

Halloween cards are among my favourite cards to make, and of course Doodlebug Designs has such cute Halloween products I can never resist using them.

I am really having fun with this Half Shutter die set, and I have linked everything that is available below.

I used the new Giant Happy Halloween die from Lawn Fawn to create the additional Pop Up. So fun - I have other word dies that I want to try this with!

Since there wasn't room on the front to write a personal message, I added one to the back.

While the Doodlebug Designs patterned paper & elements are no longer available, I have linked similar ones by Doodlebug.

Vintage Thanksgiving Tower Pinwheel Card

Hello! I have one more autumn themed Tower Pinwheel card to share with a walkthrough with all the details on YouTube:

Below is a collage showing each of the panels. I used cut apart from the paper pad, gold foil card stock and Karen Burniston's Autumn Elements to cut the pumpkins and acorns.

I love how flat these cards fold down yet stand for display. I know I will be making more of this type of card, probably a Christmas one next!

If you are interested in making a Pinwheel Tower Card,
the video tutorial that I used is HERE

It looks like even the single sheets in the Amber Moon range are unavailable to link for you, but I have found some different gold foil card stock that I can link!

Three Sketch Birthday Cards

Hello!  I made some Birthday Cards last week that used 6 x 6" patterned papers from my stash. I was left with these 6 x 2" strips so decided to make three more Birthday Cards to donate to my Mom's old nursing home. To see the original three cards, click HERE.

I used a sketch for my card today ... MoJo Monday 420, and a tag die from Your Next Stamp.

Here is a peek at the inside - all three were done the same.

Favourite Creeper Slimline Halloween Card

Hello!  I pulled out the 'View From My Window' Slimline die from Crafty Meraki and cut it from this plaid patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs. Since the paper is double sided, I was going to flip the fallaway pieces around and inlay them back into the openings for a coordinating print. It turns out I didn't pay attention to the back side of the patterned paper, which is directional and those pieces were upside down. So I cut it again from white and used just the white portions for my card saving the base for another time.

After inking the edges of the white pieces, they were popped up in the openings with thin foam tape. Then I just had fun decorating them with printed embellishments from Doodlebug!

Here is a peek at the inside, where I also added Karen Burniston's new Happy Halloween. I love that it comes with a shadow die! The plaid seemed pretty overpowering though, so I cut the shadow from vellum and adhered that over the plaid shadow before attaching the Happy Halloween script part. Much better. I also added some Peel Off Border Stickers.

That cute little frog has resin eyes ... I'm unable to find those ones to link for you but Doodlebug does have some different ones that I will link instead. The Boos & Brews papers, stickers and ephemera also seems to be unavailable but I will link a different Doodlebug paper set. I love Doodlebug so also have this set, ha ha.

October Paper Pumpkin Unboxing

Hello!  I
received my October Paper Pumpkin Kit yesterday afternoon ... it's called Peaceful Christmas and I did an Unboxing on YouTube if you are curious as to what the kit contains.

I had put my subscription on hold but when I saw this kit coordinated with the Peaceful Cabin set, I went ahead and ordered it. I LOVE the Peaceful Cabin bundle (also from Stampin' Up). I have used it a fair bit already, but am holding off sharing those cards until December as they are mostly holiday cards.

I will likely put my subscription on hold for November, as the 'hint' for that month is that they are Treat Holders and I just have no need for more of those. I'm sure it's adorable though!

Slimline Thanksgiving Card

Hello!  I know that the Canadian Thanksgiving has past, but I still need some for my US friends for their November Thanksgiving and I like to have some made ahead for next year. So I pulled out some textured and flocked patterned leaf paper from my stash and this is the card I came up with.

There is lots of shine on this card, with the gold flecked ribbon, the gold gel pen highlights and the metallic Happy Thanksgiving die cut. The pumpkin and leaf die cuts were also cut from foil card stock.

Here is a peek at the inside ...

Fun Friday Challenge - Soaring

Hello! The new Fun Friday Challenge at Your Next Stamp is:  Soaring - Anything flying in the sky.   I chose the Grand Slam stamp & die set and have that home run ball soaring through the  evening sky. 😊

My Mini Slimline card features the Mini Slim Star Panel Die and everything that is available is linked below for you. I used a new-to-me product as well - the Cosmic Shimmer powder. I am a HUGE fan of water colour sprinkles so I thought I would try a bottle of this one - and it is SO sparkly! I sprinkled it lightly from the top left down to the bottom right corners of the card and you can see it a little in the photo below. (I followed the directions, spraying the panel with water first, then sprinkling, then adding more water). Shimmer is always so hard to capture in photos. I added the movement lines with a white gel pen.

Finally, here is a peek at the inside!

Halloween Half Shutter Card

Hello!  Today I'm sharing my second card made with the Half Shutter Card With Layers die set from Divinity Designs. I have SO many ideas for this fun fold card die and will share another one soon. I did a walkthrough of this card on YouTube:

I added 'enamel dot eyes' to the cat so mimic the eyes in the patterned paper. So fun! While I couldn't find the Eerie Eyes Shape Sprinkles I used, I did find some slightly different ones that I will link below. Both are from Doodlebug Designs, which of course, is where the patterned paper and cut apart come from.

These spider web 'doily's' are perfect for Halloween. I've been using them for several past Halloween cards and I still have scads of them. I'll be adding them to my Halloween cards for the next 10 years, ha ha.

While the Doodlebug Designs patterned paper & elements are no longer available, I have linked similar ones by Doodlebug.

Three Halloween Cards for Grandkids

Hello!  Today I'm sharing three more Halloween cards for the grandkids. There is an A2 sized card, a 4-1/4" square card and a Mini Slimline. I was able to use up more stickers and embellishments that I've had for years and that always makes me happy.

Since I was using more of these spider web 'doily's, I pulled out Karen Burniston's Halloween Scene and die cut the spider from a scrap of green pearl card stock. I hung onto the negative piece and used it as a stencil inside the cards.

Here is a peek at the inside. I had the worst time trying to capture the light orange card stock - it would only show up as yellow in the photos. The sentiments are all from the same stamp set by MFT and everything that is available is linked below.
