Favourite Creeper Slimline Halloween Card

Hello!  I pulled out the 'View From My Window' Slimline die from Crafty Meraki and cut it from this plaid patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs. Since the paper is double sided, I was going to flip the fallaway pieces around and inlay them back into the openings for a coordinating print. It turns out I didn't pay attention to the back side of the patterned paper, which is directional and those pieces were upside down. So I cut it again from white and used just the white portions for my card saving the base for another time.

After inking the edges of the white pieces, they were popped up in the openings with thin foam tape. Then I just had fun decorating them with printed embellishments from Doodlebug!

Here is a peek at the inside, where I also added Karen Burniston's new Happy Halloween. I love that it comes with a shadow die! The plaid seemed pretty overpowering though, so I cut the shadow from vellum and adhered that over the plaid shadow before attaching the Happy Halloween script part. Much better. I also added some Peel Off Border Stickers.

That cute little frog has resin eyes ... I'm unable to find those ones to link for you but Doodlebug does have some different ones that I will link instead. The Boos & Brews papers, stickers and ephemera also seems to be unavailable but I will link a different Doodlebug paper set. I love Doodlebug so also have this set, ha ha.
