G-G-G-Ghost Designer Challenge Card

Good morning friends

Today is Karen Burniston's Designer Challenge for October 2017!!  Theme: "G-G-G-GHOST!" - Halloween cards. Make 'em cute or make 'em creepy. Can't decide? Go for an "Awww . . . Eww!" combination (cute front, creepy inside).

I really enjoyed making this card - the Halloween Elements are SO fun! The Katherine Label Pop-Up is proving to be very popular and versatile. Dare I say I may have a new favourite die set?

First I cut a circle out of the front cover. The black wreath was created using the vine die from the Flower Pot Pop-Up and black card stock, decorated with Ghosts from the Halloween Elements. I backed each ghost with a little piece of black card stock and added a white gel pen highlight to their eyes.

The little orange 'berries' come from the Winter Animals set - the little pom-pom for the hat cut from orange card stock and stamped with a spider web stamp. I also added little holograph circle stickers for some shine and some bright green spiders.

The creepy hands are perfect for Halloween - they don't cut at the 'wrist', so you can make the arms as long as you need to. Here I have one hand holding a fussy cut word from the patterned paper.

As you open the card, you get the first glimpse that the BOO might not be adhered to the back of the card, but in fact might pop-up!

Ta Da - here is the card fully open.

I decorated around  the inside circle to mimic the front ...

... and added another ghost to the pop-up arm.
