Clear Christmas Card with Holly

Hello!  It's time for Karen Burniston's Designer Challenge where she challenged her Design Team to create a card with a Window. I took a liberty or two with the challenge theme and created a clear card - so my whole card is a window! Ha. I have a walkthrough with all the details on YouTube

After applying double sided adhesive to the back side of the green mirror card stock, I die cut the Holly Pattern Plate. It makes SUCH a pretty die cut! My clear card base is a 10ml report cover cut to an A2 size. While this is a Clean and Simple looking card, it does require time and a lot of patience to slowly remove the backing and adhere the holly to the card. Once it's down, it cannot be moved so you only have one shot at placement. I had to take a lot of deep breaths while I was applying it it but it's easy enough as long as you don't hurry the process.

I love that the holly berries are cut using a single die that is included in the Holly Pattern Plate. I cut it from red foil card stock with more double sided adhesive on the back side so each berry was essentially a sticker. Then I used my tweezers to plunk a red berry on each of the coordinating spots on the holly.

The Merry Christmas Shadow die is SO handy, and I paired it with the Merry Christmas die on the card front. All of the rectangles are in the Slim Flaps and Frames set. I use that set a lot for sentiment blocks. That is where the little heart comes from too!
