Hello! Today I'm sharing the first two cards created with the June Paper Pumpkin kit and both of them are alternates. I decided to use this month's kit as more of a craft kit and create my own cards rather than follow the directions. That's the fun thing about Paper Pumpkin! I have a walkthrough of the cards on YouTube as well:
My first card is an A2 card but it is also a pop up. I just loved the vellum floral embellishment that came in the kit so that was the first item I wanted to use. Since I went over all the details in the video, I'll keep my comments here to a minimum. I'm also having a bit of trouble with my right forearm from all the typing and video editing, so that's the other reason my comments here will be short and sweet.
Inside I created a simple box pop up and used Karen Burniston's Crosshatch Circles as well as a doily under the stamped sentiment. I did cut into a second one of the pretty card bases from the kit for this card, but saved the extra pieces and still managed to get a third card using them. I linked my pop up tutorial in the video.
My second card is a slimline! While I loved the colourful sprigs that came in the kit, adding them to a bright yellow card as shown didn't appeal to me. So instead I added them onto another one of the card bases that I rotated and cut to fit onto my Slimline card.
I have already shared the three masculine Gift Card Holders I made with the dark green note cards that were included in the kit and will have a couple more Paper Pumpkin Alternate cards to share soon.
