Party Cat Pop-Up Birthday Card

It's Fun Fold Friday here on my blog and today I'm sharing the Pop-Up card I made for a friend's birthday. She is a cat lover, so I pulled out this 'Be A Cat' die from Waffle Flower then went rooting around in my older patterned papers to decide what I wanted to use.

I added a die cut party hat to the cat and had her 'holding' onto the stitched rectangle with a stamped Happy Birthday. I really had fun making this one!

Inside I used Karen Burniston's Postage Pop Up die set, which has a completely generic mechanism. My favourite kind! Instead of the included postage themed dies, I added a stamped & die cut circle to the mechanism.

Supplies used:
Be A Cat dies - Waffle Flower
Patterned Paper, Blank Canvas - 1st Edition Papers (old, from my stash)
Alcohol markers
Stickles glitter glue
Pops of Color - Black, Scrapbook .com
5x7" card base and envelope

5x7" Lacy Layers dies- Waffle Flower

Four Birthday Cards

I needed to make a pair of birthday cards for our nephew's twin girls, so pulled out this older 6x6" paper pad. I love it but tend to 'save it for special cards'. The cut aparts are just darling, and the balloons are embossed and shiny.

Basing my cuts on the June 2021 Sheetload of Cards, I made four cards - two of them will be donated to my mom's old nursing home and the two with the cut aparts will be popped into the mail. I added some sparkling peel off dots and glitter glue to make them a little extra special.

Here is a peek at the inside of one of the twins cards  ... I made them similar but not identical - just like they are!

Here is a look at one of the nursing home cards where you can see how pretty that balloon paper is.

Supplies used:
Patterned paper - Gift of Giving, Craft Consortium (6x6") (older, from my stash)
June 2021 Sheetload of Cards - Call Me Crafty Al
Magical Birthday, Be a Unicorn - Taylored Expressions

Gold mirror  card stock
Inside stamp - Happy Birthday4HSN

Four Sheetload Birthday Cards

It's Masculine Card Monday here on my blog and today I'm sharing a set of four Birthday Cards that I can donate to my Mom's old nursing home. I had gone through this older 6x6" paper pad and the coordinating ephemera and made up little 'kits' that I could just pull out and assemble. A lot of the 'kits' used the June 2021 Sheetload of Cards which is a great one for using those 6x6" papers.

I just kept making up the 'kits' until the paper and most of the ephemera was gone, then I decided on card bases to add to the 'kits'.

Here is a peek at the inside, they are all the same inside.

Supplies used:
Banners Crosshatch, Karen Burniston
Stitched circle die - MFT Stamps
Inside - the Inside Scoop, Birthday, Taylored Expressions
Patterned paper - Let's Celebrate, Carta Bella (6x6")
Let's Celebrate Ephemera - Carta Bella
Stickles glitter glue

Pop Up Anniversary Card

Welcome to Fun Fold Friday here on my blog!  (EDITED - I am so mixed up I thought it was Friday. However, I'm leaving my post up 😂)  Today I'm sharing the pop up Anniversary card I made for our middle daughter and hubby and I made it a pop-up using dies by Karen Burniston. I started with a paper/sticker package I've had for over a year, and added one of the journal cards/cut aparts to the front with foam tape after matting it with white card stock. I used some crinkled, narrow seam binding to create the bow on the front, then sprinkled some holographic hearts. It still needed something else, so I pulled out a glitter glue to add to the flower centres on the background paper.

The tiny hearts come with an included decorator die in the Paper Frames Pop Up and there were some leftover which I'm sure I will add to future projects. They give just the right amount of shine!

Here is a peek at the inside where I used the Paper Frames Pop Up. I have used this die so many times over the years because it gives such dimension! Santa brought me a cute little printer this year, so I used it here with circle labels to print the two sentiments and I added some more stickers from the paper package.

Supplies used:
5x6.5" card & envelope - Michaels (old, from my stash)
Patterned paper, cut aparts & stickers - Flora #3, Carta Bella
Paper Frames Pop Up - Karen Burniston
Nimbot printer
Rainbow Holographic cardstock - Recollections
Narrow crinkles Seam Binding - Stampin' Up

Rainbow Dog Birthday Card

I know I've made a lot of cards using these rainbow dog note cards but I saved this poodle one for my friends birthday card. Obviously, she loves poodles!  If you would like to learn more about these rainbow dog note cards, I have a YouTube video HERE

The note card was cut down and the front panel matted with black. Then it was added to a Waffle Flower panel and I popped up a glimmer foiled Happy Birthday with foam tape. The dogs nose got a coating of glossy shimmer, so it's raised and shiny.

Here is a peek at the inside ...

Supplies used:
White pearl cardstock
Hot foil plate, foil & machine - Spellbinders
Pops of Color - Scrapbook.com
Rainbow packing tape - old, Amazon .ca
Special sentiments - Penny Black

Birthday Card with Leftovers

I had some leftover paper pieces from some birthday cards I made last month, as well as burgundy card stock scraps from the same project. So I combined them here for a card I can donate to my Mom's old nursing home.  The Happy Birthday & shadow (by Karen Burniston) was popped up with foam tape for a little dimension.

Below is a peek at the inside - quick and easy and no more leftover pieces.  ðŸ˜Š

Supplies used:
Leftover patterned paper, Prairie Hill, Pink Paislee (old)
Happy Birthday & Happy Birthday Shadow - Karen Burniston
Peel-Off's - Dazzles
