Sparkly Dog Gift Tag

Hello my crafty friends. I'm back today with another gift tag using the Wrap It Up dies & stamps from Pigment Craft Co. I also pulled in a bunch of stuff from my craft room - the dog is from a no-longer-around company called Paper Smooches. It was stamped then covered with some double sided adhesive then Silk Microfine Glitter from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Several years ago I made a bunch of these, so ... time to use one up at least.

I had just received my order from Studio Katia with their 'Simply Hi' items and had also ordered the Iridescent Ice Flakes. The larger ones will make great toppers for party hats, so I added one here.

The blue polka dot paper was just a partial sheet so I got to use that up too. I added a dot of silver Stickles into each of the white spots for Birthday sparkle and shine.

I didn't realize the stamping was a little crooked until I was editing the photos ... oops!

Just Saying "BOO!" Mini Slimline Card

Hello my crafty friends. I'm back today with another sneak peek of Karen Burniston's new release. This time I have a Mini Slimline card with the new Fireplace Pop up only instead of Santa's boots hanging in the opening I added the creepy hands from an earlier release. Then I added more Halloween elements for a spooky fireplace scene.

This new Fireplace Pop Up is going to be lots of fun - and there are two add-on sets so you can customize it for the different seasons. Since the swirly patterned paper isn't available any longer, I found another Doodlebug paper package to link for you.

While I didn't do a video, those creepy hands wiggle in the fireplace opening. 😊

NOTE - to add the hands, I cut them from green card stock, then cut the Santa Boots (included with the Fireplace Pop Up). Snipping away the boots, I just wanted the 'hanger' pieces and added them to the arms leaving the hands free to dangle. Then I assembled as per Karen B's assembly video.

Sunflowers & Butterflies - Karen Burniston's New Release First Sneak Peek

Hello my crafty friends. Today is the day ... the Design Team can start to share sneak peaks of Karen Burniston's upcoming release. I have long been a fan of her Circle Charm Pop Up so I was pretty happy to see this new Label Charm Pop Up in the new release and of course it was the first sneak peek I wanted to share.

My card is larger than A2, it's 5 x 6.5" and fits in a 5 x 7" envelope for mailing. And it folds down nice and flat too. The sentiments are also part of the new release, with the Just and coordinating shadow does as well as supporting sentiments. Here is a look at the whole release:

Here is the inside of my card ...

Once again I'm playing with that lovely sunflower patterned paper - it's a 6 x 6" pad that I have been getting a LOT of use out of. The butterflies were stamped onto vellum and white heat embossed then die cut - it's a die from Pinkfresh Studio although there are some sweet butterflies on Karen Burniston's website that would also work beautifully. I just happened to have these ones sitting on my stamping table.

The shadow and words 'saying hi' were die cut from a gold pearlized card stock for a little shimmer and shine. I added Wink of Stella and gold Stickles for even more shine. I can't link the cardstock but I did find others that would work just as well.

Here is the top view ...

One more look ...

The Design Team will be sharing Sneak Peeks all week! The release goes live on Monday September 5th and there will be a blog hop with lots of inspiration and prizes too.

Sunflower Explosion Card

Hello my crafty friends and welcome to Fun Fold Friday here on my blog. I am having another play with that gorgeous sunflower patterned paper and this time I created an Explosion card AND I have a tutorial for you on YouTube:

Lots of dimension with this type of fun fold, but it folds down nice and flat for mailing. I also like that a 6 x 6" paper fits perfectly inside a standard A2 card.

This paper was sent to me for Scrap 'n Stamp Canada's August Inspiration Hop "Sunflower Power" and I'm still creating cards with it, it's just SO pretty. If you would like to see the three cards I made for the hop, click HERE.

Another Sheetload of Birthday Cards

Hello my crafty friends.  Yesterday I shared a tag made with this patterned paper and today I'm sharing the cards I made with that same paper. I am always SO inspired by patterned papers. I had been putting something away, moved this 6 x 6" paper pad aside and was immediately hit with the idea to use it with an older Sheetload of Cards. Now I have eight Birthday Cards that I can donate to my Mom's old nursing home!

I used the June 2021 Sheetload of Cards - it's definitely one of my favourites. There is a narrow strip leftover when cutting the papers, so I used a banner punch and used those up!

The insides are all done the same and I will be putting them into two different month's donation bags. I like to give them a variety of cards each month.

Treat Yourself Tag

Hello my crafty friends!  Today I'm sharing the tag I made to add to a white gift bag for a family member who's celebrating a Birthday.  I had the patterned paper out since I'd used it to create another Sheetload of Cards, and thought it would make a cute tag. Then I pulled out stamps & dies from Pigment Craft Co.

The gift is some lovely teas from David's Tea and also one of her favs - dark chocolate Salted Caramels. They wrapped the chocolates for me at the shop, but the teas went into the white gift bag. I thought the 'Treat Yourself' was perfect!

Sunflower Note Card

Hello my crafty friends. Today I'm sharing another card made with the layering stencils/stamp set from Taylored Expressions. When I had everything out anyhow, I made four panels. Three of them were made into cards and the last one I set aside for another day. The first card I made is HERE, and the third will be shared next week.

The soft yellow cardstock is one of the new colours from Taylored Expressions and they included a sample package in my order!

The card is blank inside, other than a white stitched panel to write on.

Stashbuster Back To School Cards

Hello my crafty friends. I wanted to make the Grandkids each a Back To School card, and had a few ideas rolling around in my head. However, when I pulled out the folder with all the school themed papers etc, I noticed there were a LOT of smaller paper strips leftover from previous cards, as well as journal cards/cut aparts that had never been used.

Instead of cutting into some new 12 x 12" sheets I decided to just USE UP as many of those leftover bits and these are the cards I came up with. Definitely stash buster cards, 😂

The felt apple stickers have also been in my stash for MANY years - but I used the last of them up on these cards. The red enamel dots and the yellow stars were leftover from a holiday package by Stampin' Up that I picked up on their Clearance Rack years ago.

I wrote them each a personal note inside and sent them off in the mail.

Additional Supplies:
White cardstock
Patterned paper and Cut aparts - older, photo play & echo park
Leftover pieces of everything 😊
Corner rounder
Black fine point marker
Alcohol markers
Apple stickers - old, Sandy Lion

Greenhouse Platform Pop Up Card

Hello my crafty friends and welcome to Fun Fold Friday here on my blog. Today I'm sharing another Platform Pop Up card - this one I made for friends who are avid gardeners. They have been renovating a new-to-them house and, while still under construction, it's far enough along for them to have moved into their basement. I have all the details in a YouTube video:

I used Lawn Fawn's Platform Pop Up, and a couple of retired stamp & die sets for this card.  I made the card awhile ago but couldn't post it until I had given it to them so that is why the plant supplies are retired ... they were not when I made the card. Ha.

Autumn Floral 'HI' Card

Hello my crafty friends. Today I'm sharing my first play with the Autumn Array layering stencils from Taylored Expressions. They were released last year, I believe - but I just recently added them to my craft room. The HI is also new - it's from Studio Katia's latest release - there is a stamp set, a die to cut out the large HI and also the large HI in a hot foil stamp! WOOT ... had to get them - I'll get lots of use out of them.

In addition to the HI hot foil stamp, I used Pink Fresh Studio's Hot Foil Nested Hexagons. When you are foiling, you have to use a very smooth cardstock. Since I hadn't anticipated foiling when I did the stencilling, I just used my regular white cardstock. You can see it didn't foil completely, and instead looks a little 'worn'. I used my usual matte coated cardstock for the HI, though, and it foiled beautifully!

The plaid patterned paper is long retired, but I will link a few others for you. This card is larger than A2, it's a 5 x 6.5" card and envelope set that I bought at Michaels several years ago. Oh, and the sentiment on the front is from Taylored Expressions and also linked below.

Inside I added another hexagon, this time stamped with a set from Gina K.

While I had the stencils out anyhow, I ended up creating 4 panels with them. I put one aside for another day but completed three cards - this one is the first. The others will be shared later this month.

Floral Slimline Anniversary Card

Hello my crafty friends.  Today I'm sharing the card I made for my Sister In Law and her hubby who are celebrating an anniversary this month.  I pulled out some older patterned paper with coordinating chipboard elements and this is what I came up with!

I love Waffle Flower's Lacy Layer die sets - this Slimline one was the first one I purchased and since I used it SO much I kept my eyes out for other ones that I've slowly added to my collection. There are alternating pierced/scalloped edges and stitched ones. ❤️   Because this was an Anniversary Card, I added some mirrored hearts. The Congrats is from Karen Burniston and it was cut 3x and stacked for a nice sturdy element. The top layer is a rainbow holographic cardstock for additional shimmer & shine.

Congrats Slimline Card Duo

Hello my crafty friends.  A family member asked if I happened to have two CONGRATS cards on hand, that might be blank inside. She wanted room for their co-workers all to sign the cards. That made me realize that I didn't have any blank-inside cards (or notecards) in my stash! I quickly made these ones up for her and made a mental note to make a few that I could just keep for when they are needed.

Both cards are Slimline cards and both use the Congrats Slimline Tag dies from Crafty Mereki.   While she wanted the inside blank, I added narrow stitched strips (Trinity Stamps) on either side to dress it up a little.

The Congrats was popped up with foam tape, as was the tag itself. Since they were going to be hand delivered I didn't need to worry about bulk & extra postage.

This is the second card. I wanted it similar but not the same since they would be given at the same time. The CONGRATS on this one was die cut from a purple mirror cardstock.

The 'you did it' is included with the Congrats Slimline tag and was cut from the same purple mirror cardstock.

Once again I added a little pop of colour inside, using a Slimline border die from Scrapbook.com.  I linked supplies below for you!

Gold & Black Tag

Hello my crafty friends!  Today I'm sharing another gift tag using mostly supplies I bought from Pigment Craft Co when they were having their Canada Day sale. Love the size and shape of this tag - so different! I cut it from gold foiled paper (free with purchase from Stampin' Up during SALEabration).  I cut the tag again from white card stock and offset the two tags.

The gold pearl cardstock was sitting on my stamping table - it was just a partial sheet. Also close to me was the (retired) Garden Greenhouse from Stampin' Up so I cut some leaves using those dies. The stamped rectangle needed a little pop, so I die cut one of Karen Burniston's Border Blends from black card stock and tucked that up underneath for a cute scalloped look. Since I can't link the pearlized gold I used, I found others I can link for you.

The sequins & gems are from Studio Katia and there are gold gel pen highlights on the stamped sentiment.
