Pinwheel Tower Card

Hello!  It's Fun Fold Friday here on my blog and today I'm sharing a new-to-me Fun Fold Card ... it's called a Tower Pinwheel Card. These have been very popular lately - it took awhile for me to make one and then awhile to get it posted here. I actually made this card in early July, and I have a walk through on YouTube here:

Below is what the card looks like coming out of the envelope. It's amazing how flat it folds down!

These cards stand so nicely for display!

If you are interested in making a Pinwheel Tower Card, the video tutorial that I used is HERE.

'Back To School' Pop Up Card

Hello!  This Back To School card was quick and easy to put together and features school themed patterned papers and stickers from my stash. Everything that is still available is either linked below or I found similar items for you. I have a short YouTube video for you with all the details:

The Wink of Stella on the school bus windows actually shows up in the photo below!

Inside, I used dies by Karen Burniston including the Katherine Label Pop Up to animate the lettered sentiment circle.

I like all the height and dimension you get with the Katherine Label Pop Up and it's deceivingly simple to put together.

Slimline Anniversary Card

Hello!  I needed an Anniversary Card, and pulled out some Slimline dies and the April 2021 Blessings Box from Divinity Designs to create it. Everything is linked below if you are curious about a product I used.

The pink patterned paper is actually in a VERY old paper stack - for baby girls! But I thought the soft pink would work well with the florals so I used it. The Slimline dies are from LDRS and I like that the windows come with your choice of hearts, circles or squares and you can decide how many to add to your project. I chose to add two heart windows and used one of the fallaway pieces for the centre.

The shadow of the love die was cut from pink mirror card stock, which is impossible to photograph!

Here is a peek at the inside, where I used that second fallaway heart over a die cut open flower die cut.

Floral Slimline Anniversary Card

Hello!  This is the Anniversary Slimline card I sent to my Sister and Brother In Law for their Anniversary. I used a Slimline heart background die from Whimsy Stamps, a stamp/stencil/die floral set from Pinkfresh Studio and stamps from my stash. Everything that is available is linked below!

I am really enjoying these sets from Pinkfresh Studio, where you use layering stencils to add your colour to the stamped image and the fact that they also designed a die is a brilliant touch!

Here is a peek at the inside. I added one of the fallaway hearts from the Slimline Background die inside with a single sequin for a little bling.

August Sheetload - Second Set of Cards

Hello! I really enjoyed working with the August Sheetload, so pulled out this glossy patterned paper from my stash and made a second set for Masculine Card Monday here on my blog. If you would like to see my first set of cards click HERE.

This patterned paper is not only glossy, it has gold foiled bits. While I did NOT need anymore 12 x 12" paper pads, I had found this for a screaming deal several years ago and knew it would work great for my nursing home donation cards and into my cart it went. 😊

The gold foiled whales were printed on one of the 12 x 12" sheets, and I punched them out with an oval punch. There were enough that I could add one to each card inside too!

Slimline Rainbow Birthday Card

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a bright and cheerful Slimline card that I donated to my Mom's old nursing home. I used several Pierced Slimline dies from Divinity Designs, and I have them linked below. This was my first time using their 'Long and Lean' alphabet dies and I think they are going to be fun!

The rainbow die is from the 'Rainbow Is My Favorite Color' card kit from Simon Says Stamp and I used one of the colourful border printed papers from a 12 x 12" paper stack called "Over the Rainbow" by Recollections.

The pretty bling is from the same card kit and I love all the sparkle these little beauty's give a card.

Finally, here is a peek at the inside, with one more die cut rainbow and a large stamped birthday sentiment - also from Divinity Designs.,

Slimline Birthday Card with Paper Pumpkin Sprigs

Today I'm sharing the Slimline Birthday Card I sent to a friend. I used more of that alcohol inked patterned paper as well as the last of the sprigs from the June Paper Pumpkin kit.  The Celebrate was adhered to a gold foil shadow, and I added some sparkly sequins and gold gel pen highlights as well. Everything that is available is linked below.

Here is a peek at the inside ...

I've been watching for larger, tall sentiments to use for my Slimline cards so picked this set up in late June. This card has been done since then, but I didn't want to post it until my friend received it. The flowers and leaves are from Karen Burniston's Flip Frame Pop Up and I cut them from scraps of the same patterned paper as on the card front and inner panel. I had been adding several floral clusters on a lot of my Guest Designer posts for Divinity Designs, and now I really like the look!

Rainbow Half Shutter Card

Hello!  Today I'm sharing my first card using Divinity Design's Half Shutter Card die set with Layers. This die set had been on my Wish List for a LONG time and I am so happy to have finally purchased it! The rainbow die is fairly new as well, and it was sitting on my stamping table so I decided to use it on my card front and pulled out the bright rainbow patterned paper as well.  I have a walkthrough of my card on YouTube here

It's so hard to see in photos, but I added Wink of Stella shimmer to the rainbow arcs. In the photo below, this is what the card looks like when it comes out of the envelope ...

... and here is the card fully open. I added smaller scalloped rectangles than the one on the front so they are hidden until you open the card and the blank one is for me to write a personal message.

Tiny Gnome Christmas Pop Up Card

Hello -  It looks like this is my first Christmas card of 2021! I wanted to have a play with the new Tiny Gnomes by Karen Burniston, and this is what I came up with. The beard & braid dies have new 'stamp & cut' technology, where you ink the die before you cut it and you get this great detailing in one pass. So cool, right?

I didn't do a YouTube video, as I'm still nursing the tendonitis in my right arm ... but here is a short video so you can see the card opening and closing:

I used the Train Pivot Panel in a vertical position instead of horizontal and that a gives you lots of pop up platforms to decorate!

The Merry Christmas was released previously, but this newest release has the shadow die for it. YAY! I love how the shadow die separates the words from the background AND it makes it easier to pop up with foam tape.

Clean and Simple Mini Slimline with Roses

Hello! I don't often make a CAS card but this was one of the ideas I'd had when I first opened the April '21 Blessings Box from Divinity Designs. I have already made a dozen cards with these beautiful florals, so thought it was time that I got this idea out of my head.

I used one of the Beautiful Blossoms Paper/Die duo's from the Blessings Box - I love that the colouring is already done and you just have to die cut and use! The 'ring' was created by die cutting two of the Double Stitched Circles and the sweet hello is one of the decorator dies included in Karen Burniston's Waterfall Die Set. I added everything to an embossed background and then some lovely sequins for sparkle. I have a linked supply list for the available products I used on my card at the end of my post.

Studio Katia no longer has those beautiful iridescent butterflies, so I fought the urge to hoard mine and added one above the hello. Oh, I hope they get more in!

Here is a peek at the inside, with a stitched panel for lots of room to write a note and more of the printed florals. I pulled out a VERY old stencil and added a rose to the front of my envelope with blending sponges.
