Mini Slimline Pop Up Smile Card

Hello!  I wanted to have a play with some new goodies in my craft room, so I made a Mini Slimline card to send out for Happy Mail and I have a walkthrough of my card on YouTube as well:

I purchased the Art Gallery bundle from Stampin' Up back in March, since I'm lacking in floral stamps & dies and I liked that those blooms are more solid and don't require colouring. The word dies on the card front were included in the bundle.

Inside, I used the Pop Up Smile die from Lawn Fawn and I am so happy with how well it works for a Mini Slimline card!

I did also invest in the coordinating Alphabet (also by Lawn Fawn) since I now have two of these pop up's (Smile and Hooray), and I asked for the Pop Up Happy Birthday for Mother's Day. Wink. I like the stitching on the letters - such a sweet detail.

Teacher Thank You Pop Up Card & Gift Card Holder

Hello!  This 5 x 7" Teacher Thank You Card is also a Pop Up and I have a video on YouTube here:

I added Wink of Stella to the glove, the word BEST and the polka dot apple on the cut apart. That was popped up onto a stitched scalloped panel with thin foam tape.

Inside is the Pop Up, and the apple die is from Your Next Stamp.

I made a coordinating Gift Card Holder as well, and those measurements were in the video.

The Thank You with Layers that I added inside the Gift Card Holder is by Divinity Designs, the Thank You inside the card is from Karen Burniston.

This was a set I made for our eldest daughter, who home schooled our three grands. Olivia has Pulmonary Hypertension, a rare degenerative disease with no cure and to keep her safe and isolated they went the Home Schooling route. I wanted something special to recognize her efforts, so we drove out with a bouquet of flowers. The grandkids came out and quietly signed the card and then they went into the yard carrying them for their Mom. Who was very surprised and happy!

Accordion Fold and Slimline Card for Divinity Designs

Hello!  Today I'm sharing two cards as a Guest Designer for Divinity Designs and they both use items from the May release. First up is the Accordion Card and I have a video on YouTube as well:

I knew when I purchased this Accordion Card With Layers die set that I would get a lot of use out of it. If you enjoy using patterned papers, this is an awesome fun fold die set, and since the layering dies are included you can easily create a polished looking card. Below is what the card would look like coming out of the envelope ...

... and here it is partially open with the second sentiment revealed.

Finally, here is what you see on the back panel.  The sentiments and cute pig image come from the new Hog Wild Stamp and Die Duo.

These cards stand nicely for display, and if you follow me you know that is something I strive for.

There is room to sign our name and write a note on the white stitched rectangle.

My second card is a Slimline Card. I don't often do top folding Slimline cards so this was fun. The patterned paper is from the new Floral Favourites Paper Pad, which is a 6 x 9" pad and perfect for Slimlines. The papers in it are just stunning!

I used the new Slimline Circle Window's Die along with the new Slimline Pierced Rectangles and the Slimline Pierced Layering Rectangles. Oh, and the Slimline Card Base** too. Those cute bunnies are from the new Party Time Stamp and Die Duo and I like that there is an included die for those bunnies.

Inside I added more of the pretty patterned paper using the Slimline Pierced Layering Rectangle dies. The Slimline Happy Birthday was added inside, and I cut the shadow layer from a scrap of the pretty patterned paper.

** Requires a larger die cutting machine.

Hugs For You

Hello! Today I'm sharing a pretty floral card that uses items from Crafty Meraki. The Radiance stamp set is lovely, and after heat embossing it with a glittery embossing powder, I added colour with Karin Water Color Markers and a water brush. Once it was dry, the main orange blooms got some shimmer with a Wink of Stella pen.

To add the pattern to the vase, I used Heffy Doodle's Wonderfully Woven stencil, which is available in the Crafty Meraki shop.

I'm such a fan of the Shadow Word dies by Crafty Meraki so here I used the Hugs, but only the script portion and not the outline and shadow. The words For You come included in the Radiance stamp set.

Inside, I stamped the top portion of the Radiance stamp along the bottom and top edge of the inner panel, then went over the outer edge with a water brush. This bled and softened the colour a little but there is plenty of room to write a note.

"Crafty Meraki is a tribe of women who are all creators but more importantly, love helping others in any way we can!

Meraki (may-rah-kee) a verb, or adverb, a Modern Greek word, derived from the Turkish “Merak” (Labor of love, to do something with pleasure), is applied to tasks, usually, creative or artistic tasks, but can be applied to any task at all. Meraki means to do something with passion, with absolute devotion, with undivided attention.

Crafty Meraki was born out of a vision to help creators do what they love doing the most- to create!"

Mother's Day Pop Up Card

Hello!  It's Designer Challenge time, and Karen Burniston challenged her design team to create a project using dies from her new release. I made a Pop Up Mother's Day Card and have a YouTube video for you as well:

I used the new Tiny House Pop Up, which was made with new technology. The roof not only die cuts, and embosses the shingles - but if you ink the die up before cutting, it also stamps the shingles. SOOOOO cool!

I used the roof piece as a stencil to add 'bricks' to the house.

View from the back ...

Remember Karen Burniston has assembly videos for her pop up dies!  Once you know how to assemble your die, the rest is card size, paper and colour choice as well as embellishments! You can change the look of your card every time you use the dies. :-)  I always enjoy showing you different ways you can use your dies once you know how to assemble them.

I knew I wanted to make a 4.5 x 6" (A6) card but didn't have that shade of green card stock in a 12 x 12". To get around that, I cut my green card stock at 11 x 4.5", scored at 5". That gave me an offset front (which I actually really liked) and the back is the full A6 size!

Additional Supplies:
Card stocks - stash
Woodgrain patterned paper - Stampin' Up
Green patterned paper - Stampin' Up
Silver matte card stock

Card sie - 4-1/2 x 6", fits in an A6 envelope

March Paper Pumpkin Alternates #7 & 8

Hello! I'm back with my final two March Paper Pumpkin Alternate cards and both of them are Pop Up cards. I have a walkthrough on YouTube as well:

This mountain sunrise panel got a little shimmer with a Wink of Stella pen.

Below is a peek at the Pop Up inside, as well as a few more items form the kit.

The sentiment stamp is from a different stamp set though, not included in the kit.

The front of my second card has stitched rectangles and I embossed the peach panel with the Subtles embossing folder for additional texture.

Inside the card and envelope I used the included envelope liner paper. And a similar pop up as the card above with layered rectangles attached instead of squares.

May 2021 Sheetload of Cards

Hello! It's the second of the month and that means it's time for the Sheetload of Cards Collaboration Team to share their projects using this month's Sheetload! The Sheetload of Cards is the brainchild of Alicia at Call Me Crafty Al and I have links at the end of my post to the entire collaboration team as well as Alicia's channel where you can download your own Sheetload of Cards.

I'm on the YouTube Collaboration team, and you can find my Sheetload video on YouTube here:

I used an older patterned paper stack from my stash and created six Birthday Cards to donate to my Mom's old Nursing Home.

The cards are all the same inside, and I used my MISTI to make sure the stamping was all straight and 'oops' free.

Napkin Fold Anniversary Card

Hello!  When I first played with the Napkin Fold die set by Divinity Designs, I knew I wanted to try it with patterned paper, so I pulled out this older paper from my stash and made an Anniversary card. I have a walkthrough on YouTube as well:

The card is held closed with a Belly Band that was decorated with fussy cut images from the same paper package and smaller paper strips. I also added gold gel pen highlights to the fussy cut succulent.

Inside, I cut the words Happy Anniversary (also from Divinity Designs) from gold foil card stock and added a few more fussy cut succulents.
