Tropical Bitty Ball Pop Up Card

Hello crafty friends ...

It's time for the October 2020 Designer Challenge, and Karen Burniston had a fun challenge for us:  "Theme: "INSPIRED BY" - I put our names in a hat and drew them out in random order to determine who is each person's muse. Choose any project, color combo, technique, etc. by your muse as inspiration and then link to that person's project in your blog post with your inspired creation." Karen Burniston was my Inspiration and let me tell you - that was a CHALLENGE! Just narrowing down what card to make - because she does such amazig work that I couldn't decide! Then I realized that I had never tried her Billboard technique with the Surprise Ball - and I will add a link to her blog post at the end of my post.

I have a video walk through for you on my YouTube video HERE - and there I share a funny story about this card. (Which has already been through the mail system twice with a third trip on the horizon, he he he).

After the card was done I decided that I didn't want to use a Belly Band, so pulled out the Flap & Closure die and a couple of magnets. While part of the CELEBRATE is hidden with the flap is closed, I like that it's a hint for the recipient to lift the flap and see the rest of the card.

Here is the peek at the inside - where the ball pops up to display an clear 'billboard' decorated with leaves from the Landscape Scene.

The Birthday words are from Riley & Company and the patterned paper & cut aparts are by Lynda Kanase.

Below is the back side of the ball ...

HERE is the link to Karen Burniston's amazing project!

I hope you will check out what the rest of the Design Team came up with for this fun challenge. Their blogs are linked on the right, and Karen Burniston will have her post tomorrow (Wednesday) on her Blog
