Well it looks like I completely missed Masculine Card Monday here on my blog, having had a busy day and not much time on the computer. I used to have so many card done ahead of time, I could sit and schedule several blog posts at a time. That meant I was always a day or two ahead. But since I haven't had much creative playtime, I am scrambling both to make cards and get them posted in a timely manner. Anyhow, this is the final Father's Day card I'm sharing this year and I made it for our son-in-law.
Inside is a simple box pop-up to which I added die cut mountains and trees. I have done several tutorials on YouTube for making this type of pop up, and you can find one of them HERE.
For this card I took a 4x4" piece of Kraft cardstock, and scored it at 1, 2 and 3". Then I folded it as I did in the video linked above.
The treeline die is actually taller than this but it stuck out of the card when it was closed. Remember this is a Slimline card with only a 3.5" width. I just trimmed off the bottom and kept checking it against the pop up base until the trees remained inside the card edges when I closed the card. They were die cut from white card stock, then dipped and dragged through dye ink puddles on my glass mat. I did leave them to dry for about 1/2 hour before adhering them to the mountain die cut.
