Hello! Today I'm sharing the Happy Mail I sent to our grandkids. Snail mail is a funny thing anymore, and four of the cards reached their destination in reasonable time with the 5th showing up 8 days after the others.
I used the Hats Off dies from Stampin' Up for the ball caps. This is a set that had been on and off my wish list for months and I finally decided to just buy it already. Love that I've already been able to use it for FIVE cards, and I have lots of ideas for more. With all the in-laws loving baseball (as well as hubby and several friends) I expect this one will get lots of use.
A couple of years ago I bought a box of brightly coloured A2 cards and envelopes and was initially disappointed because the cards were flat, post card style (my bad for not understanding the description) and they are actually a little smaller than A2 (incorrect information was provided). The price point was really good though, so I decided not to return them.
For these cards & envelopes, I created white card bases that would fit inside the envelopes and trimmed the coordinating panels and patterned paper down to fit them. It was fun picking the grandkids favourite colours and I included a sheet of stickers inside each one for a fun surprise. Below is the inside of Ethan's card (he loves blue) and I used stamps included in the May Paper Pumpkin kit 'Batter Up'.
