Car Themed Rockin' Rectangle

Hello my crafty friends

Today is Masculine Card Monday here on my blog and I'm sharing the card I made for our Son's birthday. He works in the automotive industry so when this car themed stamp and die set was released at Stampin' Up last year I grabbed it right away. For my card today I paired that bundle with several Karen Burniston dies.

When the card comes out of the envelope, you see a stamped car & some gears inside an acetate frame. I also added the new Enjoy The Ride cut from black and kraft.

When you open the card, you see a second car (that is lined up and hidden by the one on the front) that rocks up and in as you continue to open the card.

Since I knew the Happy Birthday was going to be too wide for the Rockin' Rectangle arm so I cut it three times from black card stock and adhered the layers together. This made it nice and sturdy and I don't need to worry about it catching on anything and bending where it overhangs.

While I had everything out anyhow, I made three additional (simpler & flat) cards to donate to my Mom's nursing home which I will share another day.
