Good morning friends
I love the ombre look and use it fairly often. So as usual, I did my own thing for the challenge and made a flowery Thank You Card.
The flowers were die cut from glossy card stock so they catch the light - so pretty. I also cut the vines from vellum for some subtle texture. The flowers & vine are from Karen Burniston's Flowers & Bee die set. Note, I have found it works best to use a metal plate to die cut this detailed background die from Taylored Expressions. I'm planning on making a set of (flat) Thank You cards for our daughter's birthday, so this is for her.
It's Saturday and that means a new challenge on the Crazy4Challenges Blog. Frances Byrne is our hostess for June, and our Guest Designer is Karen Nofziger of Craftily Yours.
Frances' challenge this week is: Ombre
Frances' challenge this week is: Ombre
Definition - a french word meaning "shaded". Ombre is the gradual blending of one color hue to another, usually moving tints and shades from light to dark.
The ombre technique has become very popular in stamping over the past few years. Use this technique in some way when creating your card this week. There are YouTube links on the Crazy4Challenges Blog post if you want to see some cool ideas to use the Ombre technique.
