Good morning friends
It's Saturday so that means a new challenge at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog. Our January 2017 Hostess is Caz Counsell, and this is our first C4C Challenge of 2017!!
Caz' challenge is a fun one - Today is OLD ROCK DAY - Create something to do with Rock. Could be a scene with mountains, Rock n Roll, Stone style Paper, A brick wall or a precious gem!
This is the card I made my husband for his December birthday. I thought he might be disappointed that it wasn't a pop-up card, but he actually really liked it! I paired kraft card stock with Els' Through The Lens patterned paper (Stone) for the challenge.
Hoping to get lots of use out of my older border dies this year, which is what inspired this card. That chevron border is perfect for a masculine card! I added some pieces snipped from a Chevron Background panel that was sitting on my stamping table. The one on the envelope was backed with a scrap of the same stone patterned paper.
When I was looking for a sentiment to stamp inside, this Classic Rock stamp worked well for the challenge and the patterned paper. He was busy downloading tunes when he opened his card, so it was even more perfect. :-)
Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C367.
